Transporter, also known as the 'Backrooms Taxi'.

They usually appear as tall, dark, and floating humanoids. They appear in higher levels, such as Level 3 and above, and become more common as exploration deepens. They manifest at T-junctions in corridors.

Their sudden appearance in an empty grocery store is extremely abnormal.

If one continues to explore to the left or right, nothing will happen, but returning the way one came will cause a Transporter to appear at the end of the hallway. Turning back again will reveal that the path to the hallway has disappeared, replaced by a normal wall.

Then the Transporter will gradually accelerate and "walk" towards you, eventually reaching your side and grabbing your shoulder.

Two things will randomly happen next: either you die, or according to many survivor documents, you will be thrown into the void and arrive at many different levels.

Yang Tao took out a shotgun from his backpack and aimed it at the Transporter in front of him.

The target of its appearance was simply too strong.

At the same time, a wooden door appeared behind him.

Just as he was about to deal with this uninvited guest, the floor of the grocery store suddenly vibrated. Yang Tao did not hesitate and pulled the trigger immediately, only for the Transporter in front of him to suddenly disappear.

"I hate Endermen!!"

The familiar feeling, the familiar routine. He reached out and took a shield from his backpack, holding it behind him while simultaneously turning the muzzle backward and pulling the trigger.

As expected, the Transporter had already appeared behind him. He didn't know if the Transporter was a relative of the Endermen, but its figure disappeared again before the bullet hit it.

Seeing this, Yang Tao put the shotgun directly into his backpack, switched to the Mariyu Ling Battle Axe, and vigilantly stared at the minimap.

The vibration continued, and it was getting worse.

Suddenly, Yang Tao noticed something was wrong with the minimap; the view behind him had completely vanished. He quickly turned around to look at the space behind him, which was originally full of shelves, but had now turned into a wall similar to a lounge.

"Holy crap!"

Yang Tao suddenly felt like he had been tricked. He turned back again, and sure enough, the door that originally led to the lounge had also disappeared, becoming the same type of wall as the one behind him.

The originally vast and infinite space was now only a small area of a few tens of square meters, with a few empty shelves.

"Trying to trap me???"

However, before he could break through the wall with his pickaxe, a pair of black hands emerged from beneath the ground.

"A sneak attack?!!!"

Yang Tao took out the Cherry Bomb from his backpack and, without any hesitation, threw it at his feet, but the red Cherry Bomb needed time to explode.

But now Yang Tao's body had quickly sunk into the ground.

A dizzying spin.

Yang Tao suddenly felt the presence of gravity; he was thrown high into the air. By the time he came to his senses, his body had already begun to fall rapidly towards the ground.

The Transporter's figure was gone, and it was also absent from the minimap. It seemed as if it just wanted to throw him from the sky.

Looking at the tall buildings on the ground, a thought popped into Yang Tao's mind: "Frontrooms? I've been thrown out?"

He took out a Water Bucket from his backpack and got ready. The ground was getting closer and closer. A puddle of water appeared beneath his feet, perfectly canceling out all impact.

Seeing the Faceling on the sidewalk and the Hound it was leading, Yang Tao roughly guessed where he was.

Level 11: The Boundless City

Survival Difficulty: 1

Safe, Stable, Minimal Entities

The internal structures and furnishings of these buildings are random; some buildings are completely empty, while others are fully furnished; some buildings can be entered, while others cannot.

The internal structures of the buildings are strange and abnormal. Here, one can find staircases that lead nowhere, doors that exit high up or on the side of buildings, and so on.

Although the shops are abandoned, useful items occasionally appear. Gravity does not seem to apply to these buildings.

It is recorded that some buildings are strangely placed on top of others, floating, or even overlapping each other, which is physically impossible.

Facelings and Hounds are the only two commonly spawning Entities in Level 11, and they seem to be affected by a strange phenomenon called "Effect 11," which alters the behavior of Entities, causing them to act like normal pedestrians and dogs.

This effect causes Entities to interact with Wanderers for the purpose of communication.

However, looking at the extremely ugly Hound, Yang Tao felt that if he were to keep it as a pet, it wouldn't be as simple as just gritting his teeth.

Beep beep…

A car horn sounded. Only then did Yang Tao come to his senses; the spot where he landed in the water was precisely in the middle of the road.

"Oh no…"

Subconsciously, Yang Tao reached out, ready to apologize, but then he suddenly realized that the car emitting the horn was empty.

"Soul Ring Protection?!"

Yang Tao curiously moved aside, and the car started, slowly driving away along the road.

Looking at the strange and varied tall buildings around him, and the cars driving on the road, Yang Tao felt that this place was truly good.

"Actually, living here isn't bad… With a house, a car, and if I'm bored, I can even raise a Hound. It's ugly, but it can relieve some boredom."

Level 11 has a population of around 20,000, mostly living in the central area of the level, although Yang Tao was unsure how this so-called central area was demarcated.

However, in that area, various organizations abound, and Wanderers are rampant, making it very difficult to obtain supplies there.

Yang Tao looked up at the clear sky of Level 11.

"Enduring for a moment, the more I think about it, the more I lose. Retreating a step, the more I think about it, the angrier I get. No, I still need to go back to Level 176 to settle the score first…"

Summoning a wooden door directly, Yang Tao returned to the Main World, then immediately walked towards the wooden door without a signboard.

There were two wooden doors here; he randomly pushed one open.

Behind the door was that familiar cramped space.

However, unlike when he left, the originally extinguished incandescent light on the ceiling of the cramped space now emitted a soft white glow.

A bag of potato chips was placed on the empty shelf.

Yang Tao: "..."

He walked in and reached out to take the potato chips.

A new bag of potato chips appeared on the shelf.

"..."

He inexplicably felt a sense of humiliation.

"Is this like giving alms to a beggar? Is this isolating a new sub-level?"

"The Dao is one foot high, the devil is ten feet high. I refuse to believe that if I go over again, you can still split off a new sub-level! Let's see if you have more space or if I have more wooden doors."

Exiting the small space, Yang Tao turned and pushed open the wooden door leading to Level 31, walking directly towards the employee passage.

Ten seconds later.

Yang Tao stood at the entrance to the lounge, looking at the sign that had appeared on it.

Level 176: Under Renovation…

No Entry

"The picture is quite cool!"

The picture was, surprisingly, his own photo.
