Chapter 15 - 15. Helping people

Riki stretched his stiff muscles after sitting for a long time doing his homework with Liz.

They finished quickly because Liz was very serious. Riki was lucky to have a partner like Liz.

"Since everything is done..."

"I'm going home." Liz quickly interrupted Riki.

Riki's eyes widened, "Go home? Why so soon—what if we do something? Didn't I promise to accompany you to the gym?"

Liz sighed heavily, then looked away from Riki.

Being near Riki would only make Liz like him more. However, Riki was dating Angeline, Liz's very beautiful cousin.

"I'm not ready yet, let's exercise tomorrow…"

"Alright, where do you want to exercise? Would you like to go to the Arcelia River? We can walk around there. If you don't want to go to a crowded place, we can go to the gym." Riki said.

Liz bit her lower lip while thinking. At that moment, she didn't realize she was biting her lip too hard, causing Riki to worry she might hurt herself and bleed.

Then, Riki reached out his hand, stopping Liz from biting her lower lip.

"Don't do that to your beautiful lips; they'll bleed."

Liz's heart was racing at that moment as Riki gently wiped her lip with his thumb.

This time, Liz couldn't take her eyes off Riki's handsome face.

Back when Riki was dating Hannah, Liz thought she'd never be able to get Riki. But then suddenly Riki started dating Angeline. Liz's hopes were shattered.

However, suddenly she was this close to Riki. Though it was pointless if Riki was dating her cousin.

"Liz?" Riki's deep, sexy voice snapped Liz out of her thoughts.

"Oh, that… I don't mind going to the Arcelia River. The view there is very beautiful. And I can look at the roses sold at Little Heaven," said Liz.

The Arcelia River is the largest river in the city. Its water is very clear. People often go to the river, whether to walk, ride bikes, or do other things.

Since the river is so popular, there are many shops there. And there are many popular shops in that area, such as Little Heaven.

It is a large shop that sells plant or flowers, and is most famous for its roses. There are various types of roses sold there, at various prices.

Riki once worked at Little Heaven, though only as a temporary replacement. Riki worked there as a flower delivery courier for only one month.

"Do you like flowers?" Riki asked, finishing the last of his drink.

Liz nodded, "I love them! At home, I make small gardens. There's an orchid garden, a bougainvillea garden, and the one I'm currently working on is a rose garden. So, I might pick out some roses at Little Heaven."

"Then I'll pick you up tomorrow morning, okay?"

Liz nodded enthusiastically. She really wanted to go out with Riki and pick flowers with him—oh, right, Riki was Angeline's boyfriend now.

"But what about Angeline?" Liz asked.

"We can bring her along if you want, Liz. She'll be happy."

No, that's not what Liz wanted. But Liz had to be realistic.

Riki couldn't possibly like a chubby girl like her, could he?

"That's good, invite Kaivan too."

Riki complained afterward, "Why does he have to be there?"

That night, Riki was busy playing games on his new computer that had just arrived. Riki bought a high-tech computer so he could play games freely.

After making a lot of money, he should buy whatever he wants, right?

Riki has even purchased clothes from luxury brands online. He easily became a VIP customer with the help of Zeno, his wealthy and kind friend.

As a result, Riki can easily buy any clothes, shoes, or bags from those luxury brands without having to wait long.

In fact, everything was delivered to Riki's apartment tonight.

Boxes from those luxury brands are still scattered on the apartment floor.

Riki doesn't care; he just wants to play games tonight.

Exactly at ten o'clock at night, Riki realizes he's hungry.

"Should I cook? But I'm too lazy to cook; I'll just order something instead." Riki muttered, grabbing his smartphone and starting to browse for food delivery options.

[Your third mission today is to leave the apartment and buy food on the street]

Riki furrowed his brow.

After the second mission, he thought there were no more missions left.

"Do I just have to buy food on the street?" Riki asked.

[Of course not, you must buy food and then distribute it to passersby]

[At least buy ten packets to distribute]

[If you succeed, you will receive a 30×30-meter vacant lot near the Arcelia River and +3 bonus to all stats]

[If you refuse to leave the apartment, the system will deduct 15 points from each stats]

Riki growled in frustration.

He didn't want to go out, but the system always wanted Riki to leave his comfortable apartment.

"Alright, if that's what you want," Riki muttered. He had no choice but to go out.

Since the night wasn't hot, Riki didn't mind going out at night.

Getting a piece of land near the Arcelia River was an extraordinary opportunity. Because Riki could build a new business there. Even though he didn't know what kind of business he would build yet.

The streets were still bustling tonight, as if people didn't need any rest at all.

There were always many people on the streets in a big city, even though it was already midnight. Activities in a big city never stopped.

Wearing a black hoodie covering his head, Riki began to scan the streets with his eyes.

With his sharp hunter's eyes, Riki could clearly see several starving people on the streets.

Some of them had no homes. They usually lived under bridges. The reason they were out at night was to find work to earn money so they could eat.

It was truly unfair that Riki could earn money easily, but they struggled to find a single meal.

"Can I help you?" asked the fried rice vendor by the roadside.

Riki nodded, "I'll take ten packets of fried rice."

Then Riki turned to the fried noodle vendor next to him, "I'll also take ten packets of fried noodles."

"Coming right up, sir!"

Next, Riki ordered several drinks in cups. He also bought some snacks that were available there.

After an hour, ten packets of fried rice, fried noodles, and other items were ready.

"What are you going to do with all those packets?" someone suddenly came and helped Riki carry his food.

Riki turned to the person, "I'm going to distribute them to—"

Riki fell silent after realizing who was talking to him.

"Where will you distribute them?" Evan asked.

"Give them back, I can do it myself." Riki tried to take the packages Evan was holding.

But Evan didn't give up so easily.

"I'll help you, Riki. Is this your new job?" Evan asked.

"None of your business, traitor!"

Evan, the tall, handsome senior at Riki's university, laughed at Riki's words.

"So, I'm a traitor in your eyes now, Riki?"

With eyes full of anger, Riki snatched the package from Evan's hands and walked away.

"None of your business, you bastard!"
