Chapter 19 - 19. Choose!

[Choose!]

[1. Hit Hannah 2. Destroy Hannah's cell phone]

[If you do one of the options, you will receive a reward of $500,000]

[If you don't, you will get into big trouble]

Riki swallowed hard. He knew he couldn't just stand by in a situation like this. Riki didn't care about Hannah, but he had to protect Angeline or Liz's feelings.

Still, Riki couldn't bring himself to hit a woman under any circumstances.

So clearly, Riki chose the second option.

Without further ado, Riki snatched Hannah's smartphone, which was displaying the video recording of Hannah bullying Liz. Then, Riki deleted the recording and tossed the phone into the Arcelia River.

"RIKI!!! WHAT ARE YOU DOING?" Hannah screamed, shocked and furious at the same time. She approached Riki, intending to slap him. But Angeline grabbed her hair first.

"You dare to bully my precious friend and show it to me? You must be crazy, Hannah." Angeline pulled Hannah's hair harder and threw her onto the grass.

After that, Angeline hugged Liz and calmed her down.

"Anton, don't just stand there, help me!" Hannah shouted again.

Anton, who knew he was no match for Kaivan, couldn't move as Kaivan glared at him sharply. With that gaze, Kaivan seemed to be saying that he wanted Anton to stay silent and just watch.

"Help her, or I'll never help you again," Kaivan muttered. "Let her deal with the problems she created herself," he added.

Anton, who was sick of Hannah's constant need for validation from others, could only tune out the sound and close his eyes.

Hannah trembled in fear as Riki approached her. Riki looked extremely angry. Something Hannah had never seen since she first met Riki.

Because the Riki she knew was a gentle young man who was always weak to anything Hannah said. Riki didn't even dare to force Hannah or touch her without permission.

Riki had never looked at Hannah as if he was ready to pounce on her. Not in a sexual context, but in a more dangerous one.

"Ri… Riki…"

"Isn't that the phone I gave you after working so hard? I saved up that much money and went hungry just to give you that expensive smartphone. But you used that smartphone to record your wicked deeds? You can be jealous of others, but hurting them like that isn't the right thing to do. You said you don't need me anymore, right? I haven't made any effort at all, have I? So just let go of that worthless smartphone and ask your wealthy boyfriend to buy you one. Or should I buy it for you again? First, ask Liz for forgiveness, and I might buy you a phone like that again, or even a better one… on the condition that Liz forgives you."

Hannah bit her lower lip, then turned to Liz, who was still crying while being comforted by Angeline.

Then, Hannah's gaze fell on Angeline, the beautiful girl staring at Hannah with a look of pure anger. Though Angeline remained graceful and elegant, it was clear she was furious at that moment. As if, if Hannah approached, she would immediately scratch Hannah's face until it was unrecognizable.

"L-Li… Liz, I… I'm sorry, I just… just…"

"You're only apologizing because Riki promised to buy you another phone, so go ask your loser boyfriend to buy it for you," Angeline interjected, even before Hannah could finish her sentence.

[You have completed the second choice, so your 500,000$ reward will be sent to your account]

Of course, Riki was thrilled to see the amount of money awarded to him. However, wait a moment—where did Riki put his smartphone?

Riki had placed the phone himself in a safe spot, and that safe spot was near Kaivan and Anton.

Upon hearing the beep beep sound, Kaivan and Anton turned to the phone lying near them.

Both were surprised to see the 500,000$ notification appear there.

Riki immediately grabbed his smartphone and looked at Kaivan and Anton in surprise.

"What are you looking at? You better take your girlfriend away, she'll just cause trouble here," said Riki, looking at Anton with a lazy gaze.

"Did you hear that? Go away," added Kaivan.

Anton stood up and pulled Hannah away from there.

"Let's go! You'll only embarrass yourself more if you stay there."

"Why are you just standing there and not helping me at all?"

"I can't. Don't you know who Kaivan and Angeline are? Why are you picking a fight with them? Liz is Kaivan's twin sister. Are you crazy for bullying a girl like Liz?"

"What? Since when is Liz Kaivan's twin sister? They don't look alike at all."

"Shh! Be quiet, I only found out yesterday. And I almost got beaten up by Kaivan because I and my friends usually bully that girl. We can't make things more complicated, do you understand?"

Hannah bit her lower lip, holding back her frustration because she suddenly found herself in a disadvantageous position. She had dated Anton to be on top, but it turned out the opposite. Now Riki was on top, and she was even lower.

This is so frustrating.

"If you want to live peacefully, don't bother them anymore, okay?" Anton said after they returned to their previous spot.

Then they saw Evan walking toward where Riki and the others were.

Hannah removed Anton's hand from her shoulder and glared at them with a annoyed expression.

"If only I hadn't accepted you, then I'd be the one there now!" Hannah said.

Anton's eyes widened in disbelief.

"What did you say? Just because he's richer than me, you're saying that? You know, I spent my money to make you happy back then. I rented an expensive nightclub for you, I even hired people to get rid of Riki so you'd be satisfied. But after Riki showed his true colors, you want to go back to him? You were the one who tempted me first, Hannah!"

Hannah rolled her eyes in annoyance, "Come on, Riki was probably just testing me. He must still love me. I just have to tease him again, and I can go back to him." Hannah said confidently.

Anton stared at Hannah, unable to believe that the girl was making him look like a loser now.

"What about me?"

Hannah smiled widely, "Of course you'll still be with me, babe… just imagine. If I manage to get close to Riki again, I'll get a lot of money for us to have fun, how about it?"

"Are you sure?"

Hannah nodded happily, "Of course! Getting close to Riki again is easy; I've known him longer. We have to take advantage of him, right?"

Anton smiled, "That's a brilliant idea."

***

"I'm sorry, Angeline."

Angeline sighed heavily; she had already heard Liz's apology several times that morning.

Now, they were in Riki's car, and Riki was about to drive them home.

Actually, Angeline had originally come with Kaivan because she needed more time to get ready that morning. And now, Kaivan had to go home first because he had some business to attend to. Coincidentally, the place Kaivan was heading to was in the same direction as the apartment Evan was renting with a few others.

So now it was just Angeline and Liz with Riki.

"There's no need to apologize; that's the past. And back then, I didn't even know Riki yet. Besides, Riki and I just started dating. I'm really not angry about it, Liz… you're entitled to like whoever you want. The one at fault is Hannah, why did she bring up the past?" Angeline said, for the umpteenth time.

However, Liz still felt guilty toward Angeline. Because up until now, her feelings for Riki remained the same.

Riki, who was driving in front of them, could hear everything they said.

He was confused because it was his first time in such a confusing situation. But there was also a sense of joy knowing that Liz had liked him all along. After all, Riki had once felt unworthy of approaching a wealthy girl like Liz.

Riki dropped Liz off first. The girl dared not look at Riki at all. She just got out and said nothing.

Perhaps Liz needed some time alone.

"Are we going straight to your house?" asked Riki.

Angeline suddenly got out of the car, startling Riki. But it turned out the girl just wanted to sit next to Riki.

"You should have just said so, I would have opened the door for you," said Riki.

"It's okay, Riki. I just want to sit next to you like this," said Angeline. She hugged Riki's arm and rested her head on his shoulder.

Riki drove the car through the upscale neighborhood where Liz and Kaivan's house was located. Meanwhile, Angeline's house wasn't far from there, in the same neighborhood, but a little further away.

It took about eight minutes by car.

"We're in front of your house, Angeline," said Riki.

However, Angeline didn't release her embrace from Riki's arm.

"Angel?" whispered Riki.

Angeline finally looked up at Riki and gave him a small smile. The beautiful girl suddenly grabbed Riki's neck and kissed him.

Of course, Riki was surprised, but he enjoyed it afterward. Angeline's kiss was very gentle, and her lips tasted sweet.

Riki felt happy, but there was still something odd. He felt empty in the kiss. There was only desire there.

Riki broke the kiss and stared at Angeline's face for a while.

There was no denying it; Angeline was very beautiful.

"Riki, do you really like me?" Angeline's simple question made Riki feel uncertain.

"Why do you say that?"

"I just feel like you're dating me out of obligation. Like it's not coming from your heart. You know, this is the first time I've liked someone like this. But I don't want it if you're only doing it out of obligation. It's okay if you admit that you're dating me just to make Hannah jealous. It's okay at all. You just have to be honest with me."

[Choose!]

[1. Angeline 2. Liz 3. Hannah]

[You can only choose one now, and you can't be indecisive]

[If you choose wrong, you'll regret it forever]

Why did it suddenly become like this?
