— Academy Health Center —
Standing by the open window, I looked towards the clouds gathering above the academy—it was going to rain soon.
[What do you plan to do?] Lyxor asked, but I didn't respond.
Honestly, I didn't know what to do yet.
After the class ended, I called Ralph, only for a nurse to pick up and inform me he was in bad condition. His face was swollen, his eyes blackened. He had cuts and bruises everywhere—Lyxor concluded he was jumped by numerous people.
Ralph was brutally attacked right in front of his room door, but strangely the CCTV footage that captured everything had been deleted.
I couldn't help but think back to Dean's provocative smile during class. This explained it all.
"I'll hurt someone," I decided, shaking my head.
"What?"
Looking over my shoulder, I saw the bothered look on the face of the nurse standing by the door.
Without saying a word, I closed the windows and walked over to Ralph, who was sleeping soundly with a minor squint on his battered face.
[You don't know who did this. So who do you plan to hurt?] Lyxor asked.
'The person that gave the order.' I shrugged while shoving my hands deep into my pocket.
[You are going to hurt Dean Hall?] Lyxor sounded amused.
'You don't think I can?' I asked.
[At your current level, I believe you would lose against him.] Lyxor was blunt as always.
'Thanks for your vote of support.' I rolled my eyes and began walking toward the exit, only stopping when I reached the door.
"Look after my partner. When he's well enough to be discharged, have them send him over to my residence," I said, maintaining eye contact with her.
"Yes, Lord Blackwater!" She bowed slightly, and my frown deepened.
I sincerely hated it when people bowed to me. It made me feel like I was one of these disgusting nobles.
Walking out of the medical center, the private shuttle assigned to me due to my title was still waiting. It was a black sedan, driven by an elderly man in his mid-forties.
Bam!
Shutting the door, I turned to the rearview mirror, and as expected, the man was gazing at me.
"Where to, Sir?" he asked.
"Where can I find the God Sect after class?" I asked.
This was the first time I was using the name Lyxor gave me. Apparently, every Big Four offspring who attended this academy used the name for their group.
As expected, the driver's eyes twitched at the question. He had been working in the sovereign wing for a while, so I was certain he had a good relationship with other exclusive shuttle drivers, and they talked about us.
"Errm…" The man seemed to hesitate. "From what I heard, they are usually at the gaming arcade after class."
"Then take me there."
Saying this, I leaned back, crossed my hands over my chest, and shut my eyes.
[Are you really going to fight them for that fat kid?] Lyxor asked.
'You get what you allow. If I let them go scot-free after harming what belongs to me, they will only get bolder over time,' I explained. 'It's not about me fighting for Ralph. It's about me teaching them to stay away from things I call my own.'
[True. Be careful though. It would be embarrassing if you lose.] Lyxor said, and I smiled.
'I know, right?'
This time, I actually agreed with him.
— Academy Gaming Arcade —
Approximately twenty-five minutes later, my vehicle rolled past the gates of the gaming arcade, revealing a dome-shaped building with a massive smiley face at the top.
"Whoever designed this building should be arrested," I said with a deep frown.
Normally, I minded my business, but the football color scheme of the building was just annoying to look at. In fact, only now did I realize why the building was dome-shaped.
[This is beyond silly.] Lyxor agreed with me.
"Sir, I believe they are here." The driver's words drew my attention to the three black sedans parked here as well.
Without saying a word, I stepped out of the car. However, just as I took three steps past the vehicle, I noticed a group of four people walking towards the parking lot.
They were discussing and laughing loudly without a care in the world.
My eyes narrowed as I shoved my hands into my pockets and waited for them to arrive. A few seconds later, they noticed my presence and their walking speed dwindled. Dean moved ahead of the group with a smug smile while the other three followed behind with a look of intrigue in their eyes.
"Since you are here, I'm guessing you also got the sad news about Ralph," Dean said with a mocking laugh. "I was just heading out to pay him a visit," he added.
However, I said nothing and waited. The group stopped some distance away, while Dean stopped just a few meters away.
"Why do you have that look on your face?" Dean asked. "Did you hear something?"
Heh!
A light chuckle escaped my lips and I nodded slowly while taking off my jacket.
"I'll hurt you in ways you never imagined possible," I said while brushing my fingertips on the boot of the car beside me.
Hand of God!
Black metal flowed from my fingertips to the rest of my body, and my eyes revealed a threatening violet flash.
"Wow!" Dean screamed as he clapped enthusiastically, but the mocking smile never left his face.
"Against Alex you held back until the last moment before showing your ability. Is this your way of acknowledging I'm stronger than him?" Dean asked in an annoyingly loud and amused tone.
At this point, I knew this bastard wasn't taking me seriously.
'I'll hurt him and put an end to this stupidity,' I decided.
