Chapter 580 - SCP-169, The Leviathan!

Chapter 580: Divinity? Supreme Divinity? SCP-169, The Leviathan!

"Hey, Ren-kun, want to play an exciting game of beach volleyball?" From a distance, Yamauchi Sakura, wearing a white swimsuit, ran over, holding a volleyball and dragging Kaori Miyazono with her.

These two, who had been patients for so long, were now full of energy.

"Beach volleyball…" Ren scanned the proud figures of the many women in their swimsuits and bikinis. Playing volleyball would surely be very stimulating. And since he was the only man here, wouldn't it be great?

He responded enthusiastically. "Coming right away!" He then called out to the others. "Everyone, come join us!"

"Tsk." Long journeys test a horse's strength, and time reveals a person's heart. Utaha, next to Mi-chan, saw his excited look and knew what he was thinking. After all, they knew each other inside and out. But even knowing his thoughts, they still happily went over to play.

After an exciting and "benefit-filled" game, Ren lay on the beach, sunbathing. His head was resting on Miyuki's soft, pale thigh, a feeling that could only be described as pure enjoyment.

Yoshimura Eto walked over and sat down beside him. "Do you need a report on the task you gave me?" she asked in front of Miyuki.

He then remembered he had given her the task of dealing with Ghouls. "Oh, no need for a report. That task can end now. I'm giving you a new one." As he spoke, he shifted his head from Miyuki's lap to hers. Hmm, a different feeling, not bad.

Miyuki said nothing, simply moving to massage his shoulders with her fair, tender fingers.

Chika, who had changed, gazed at the sea. An idea popped into her head, and she bounced off to find Marin. "Marin-chan, want to go diving?"

"Diving? But I don't know how," Marin subconsciously thought she was still her old self.

"You idiot! We're super amazing now! We can go anywhere!" Flexing muscles that weren't there, Chika clenched her fist and swung, forgetting to hold back. Boom! A violent waterspout shot into the sky, splashing down like heavy rain.

"Don't misuse your power!" Yumiko used her telekinesis to gather the water and throw it back into the sea.

"!!!" The Nakano Quintuplets watched their miraculous abilities. The people here are not simple… I'm a bit envious.

"S-sorry!" Chika shrank her head and apologized, then pulled Marin towards the sea.

"I really can't dive!" Marin shouted. However, after being dragged in, she realized she could breathe freely. Only then did she remember she was truly powerful.

"I told you! Let's go treasure hunting, hehe."

"Alright, but it's so dark in the sea," Marin complained.

"Dark? This will fix it." In the water, Chika erupted with pure light, her elemental power illuminating the seabed as if with a beautiful filter.

"Treasure hunting, let's go!" The two began their search.

About half an hour later, "Wahhh!!!" they screamed as they rushed out of the sea.

Yumiko, sunbathing, had a vein pop on her forehead. "You two, again?" She once again controlled the water, but this time, they flew directly to Ren's side.

"Ren!!!"

"What's wrong?" He sat up; they seemed to be in a real hurry.

Chika panted, pointing at the ocean. "Ren, there's a monster in the sea! It's really, really big!"

"Monster?" He frowned; he hadn't detected any.

"Really! We saw it and immediately ran back," Marin explained.

"Take me to see it." He didn't disbelieve them; on the contrary, he trusted them. He just found it strange that there was a creature he couldn't detect. It's possible its essence is above my own.

"Chika, Marin, you two take me. Miyuki, you organize the others. Gather first and don't act alone."

"Okay."

Led by the two, Ren arrived at the seabed a thousand meters deep. Looking at the vast, boundless creature sleeping before him, he fell into deep thought. He could confirm that only at this moment had he captured its existence.

Its form resembled an arthropod, but its size was so immense that even his Godzilla could only look up to it, a body length of over 6,000 kilometers. Fortunately, it seemed to be in a deep slumber.

"Ren-kun, what is this? It's too big," Marin, who had overcome her thalassophobia, was now scared and hid behind him.

"I don't know what it is… but I have a guess." Gazing at the gigantic object, he considered the possibilities. A creature that could evade his perception… Considering the existence of SCPs in this world, he had a guess.

SCP-169, the Leviathan. An extremely massive arthropod, estimated to be between 2,000 and 8,000 kilometers. Most importantly, this thing is at least a divine being in the SCP lore, with some settings even placing it as a supreme divine being.

[Inorin's Note: SCP-169, "The Leviathan," is an SCP object described as a marine arthropod of colossal size, believed to be the mythical Leviathan. It is usually depicted as dormant, with its back forming an archipelago.]

Given that this creature met all the conditions, and its identity as a supreme divine being could indeed block his perception… perhaps it really was the Leviathan.
