Kana woke with a start, her vision blurring as she blinked against the soft golden light filtering through sheer curtains.
Her breath came uneven at first, her body heavy and sluggish, as though she had been plunged into deep water and pulled back out again.
It took a few moments before her surroundings finally sank in. This wasn't the temple and she was no longer naked.
The ornate wooden ceiling above her belonged to the resort, the scent of saltwater drifting faintly through the air.
She slowly sat up, finding herself in one of the luxurious guest rooms.
The soft linen sheets tangled around her legs, and as she glanced down at herself, Kana realized something unsettling—there wasn't a single trace left of what had happened at the temple.
Her clothes had been changed, her body cleaned, and not a single bruise, mark, or speck of dust remained.
Moreover, there was no indication that she had sex with anyone.
'Who changed me? I hope they don't talk too much about it…'
