John growled, screamed hysterically, and the lights of the room snapped off.
A wooden chair hurled across the room, slamming into Father Smithel's head, injuring him severely. But, still he had the courage to continue the exorcism.
Possessed with demonic strength, John broke the chains and laughed, in six different voices.
Father Smithel, trembling in panic, shouted louder,
"In the name of Jesus and Holy Bible, I condemn..."
Before he could finish, an unseen force lifted him into the air and began choking him. His eyes turned hollow white. His body grew cold. Breathless, he was thrown to the ground.
Everyone rushed to him. Daniel checked for a pulse, but it was too late. Father Smithel was gone. His body was taken for postmortem.
But when they turned back to the room, John was gone. He had vanished the moment Father Smithel died.
The exorcism had failed.
A loud silence haunted the house. John's missing posters covered every wall. News of his disappearance echoed from televisions in homes across town.
Everyone connected to John was shaken and disbelieving because they had heard he came back.
They searched every street, every corner but, the Devil doesn't leave footprints.
