Chapter 89: The Kisses She Liked
"I knew you'd be quick about it," Leo chuckled. He wasn't done packing yet, while Lillian was already sitting on the couch waiting for him.
"Need help?" Lillian offered.
"No, it's okay. This is the last of it," Leo said as he placed his things in his suitcase and zipped it up.
He lined it up near the door like Lillian did and seated himself beside her.
Lillian tensed for a bit but relaxed eventually. She realized he had left a small space between them, and she was grateful for it. However, he was still too close.
Lillian was not used to sitting so close to someone unless it was utterly necessary, like in public transportation, but ever since she got her own car, no one had ever sat so close beside her.
Meanwhile, Leo does it like it's normal. He did leave some space, but it was too little.
Leo noticed her looking at the space between them and her initial discomfort.
