This man, who had introduced himself as Leo, oozed with such strong appeal and had the looks, a tempting low voice, and a fragrant masculine perfume that enticed Lillian.
And most importantly, he engaged her in conversation so easily, and she was not bored or creeped out, unlike when other men hit on her. Instead, she felt comfortable speaking with him.
Had she always been this easy to be attracted to a man?
No, she wasn't.
Even with liquor, Lillian does not converse and flirt with a stranger so easily.
Leo was simply too attractive and easy to converse with. She did not have to pretend to laugh at unamusing jokes or hold back on her words so as not to insult him.
The way things were going, it almost scared Lillian that she might fall for him for real when she barely even knew him. Or was this finally her chance at love?
Lillian concluded that maybe this was her chance at romance. Even the universe is encouraging her.
Who cares if it starts with a one-night stand? What's important is how they felt about each other later on, right? It has to start somewhere, or else even this chance might simply slip away.
Denise said that she had had many opportunities for romance, but Lillian was the one who let it all slip away because she did not grab the chances when they presented themselves.
Lillian concluded that if Denise's words were true, she must have been too passive over the past years. Thus, tonight, Lillian concluded she won't. She must take the leap. She would actively do her best and grab this chance.
As a start, Lillian was determined to truly push through with her plan to get laid so her chance at romance would not slip away again.
If she was going to experience her first time tonight anyway, then it was best to do it with someone she was truly interested in, and Leo had caught her interest and strongly attracted her. He was the first to do so since she broke up with Tom.
Lillian concluded she must act, especially since she was so lucky Leo approached her first.
Right when she was looking for someone, he presented himself right in front of her and within reach. Perhaps the gods had finally decided to help her since she had remained celibate her whole life.
From all the expensive wines he had been ordering so far, it was clear to Lillian that Leo was loaded.
Leo said he was also an office worker, but did not say what his position was, so she wouldn't back out. Leo knew that Lillian was the type who would back out if she knew who he truly was, contrary to others who would be eager to push him down to bed if he said what he did for work.
If Lillian had known what getting entangled with him meant, she would have never dared to get involved with him.
But right now, she was fearless and emboldened, and she simply wanted a single night from him to finally experience what her coworkers had been talking about all the time when they were on breaks.
Who cares about status and all that when it would only be for a night?
Lillian did not tell Leo she was inexperienced in intimacy matters, but revealed that she hadn't dated or slept with anyone in a while and did not specify how long. Leo said he also hadn't dated or slept with anyone in a while and was clear (he had no diseases).
This at least clarified that none of them were in a relationship or had slept with anyone in the past few months, so it at least eased the worry about diseases and other complicated issues that may create drama later on.
And so, after a few more drinks, Lillian threw caution to the wind and they decided to go to his hotel room together to continue drinking and do what adults do.
It wasn't just any hotel room, though. It was a VIP suite in the same building where the bar was.
Lillian found herself pinned against the wall the instant they were alone in Leo's suite. His kisses were so intense and overwhelming that her knees weakened.
It was so different from the kisses she had experienced in the past. This was the kind that was truly the prologue of a passionate night together. Leo's hands explored her too while they kissed.
However, before they could go any further, there was a knock on the door. It was the hotel staff who delivered the wine bottles had asked for.
Leo talked with the staff and ordered some light snacks to go with it.
Lillian took the opportunity to take a shower. She did not want to spend her first time smelling of sweat and possibly disappointing Leo.
Upon getting out of the bath, Lillian almost took a step back. The way Leo's intense gaze greeted her made her want to hide in the bathroom in embarrassment.
'Am I truly ready for this?!' Lillian gulped.
Before she could think further, Leo walked to her with darkened eyes, wrapped her in his arms, and gave her a passionate kiss.
It felt so good that any thoughts of backing out left her mind. However, it was quite too intense for her, who had not experienced anything of this sort before.
"C-can we take it a bit slower?" Lillian said as she tried to catch her breath.
Leo was wide-eyed and quickly said, "I'm sorry! I must have scared you."
"You didn't. It's just that it had been too long for me. I'm not used to doing this, so everything feels so new," Lillian did not want to admit this was her first time doing these things.
"I see. I'm glad it's not because you're scared or turned off," Leo kissed the back of her hand like a gentleman.
"I'm not. Don't worry," Lillian smiled, assuring him.
"I want to take my time with you, but you're so pretty and hot, I'm losing it. I think I need to cool down a bit. I'll take a shower too. The snacks will arrive soon. You should eat some to get energized. You'll need it," Leo winked and headed to the bathroom in huge strides.
Lillian took a deep breath and slumped on the couch as Leo vanished into the bathroom.
