Everyone prepared their guns as the urgent knocking continued. Then they all heard a man's voice.
"Lily? Lily, are you in here? Please open the door?"
Lillian blinked twice as all the people in the room looked at her like she had been caught cheating on her husband.
As for her, she quickly wiped the tears on her face. She recognized the voice immediately.
It was her friend Denis who owned this hotel. She put her index finger on her lips, telling everyone to be quiet as she walked to the door.
They looked hesitant to let her open the door, but she did anyway before they could stop her.
"Yes, what's going on?" Lillian asked upon opening the door, got out, and closed it behind her.
"Lily, are you alright? Why are your eyes red? Have you been crying?" Denis asked with a concerned voice. He caressed Lillian's cheek and leaned in to look closer.
"I'm fine. I was watching a tragic movie just a while ago, and it made me cry," Lillian reasoned.
