LOCATION: ACADEMY BUILDING
TIME: THE NEXT DAY, MORNING
It was early in the morning, all the people who had passed their graduation exams the previous day were now seated. Waiting for their instructor to enter and assign them teams
A man they had never seen before entered the room, holding a clipboard and a pen. He had burly rough hair with rough features with the standard chunin flak jacket and Konoha headband on
One of the students spoke up
"Where is Iruka- sensei and Mizuki" She asked politely
"Iruka sensei is unfortunately injured and can't come to class today" The man informed
"And Mizuki-sensei is currently...indisposed" He said to clarify the confusion
Iruka-sensei is injured and what did he mean by indisposed
Everyone thought except a certain blond and yellow haired kid
'Do they really not know' Benimaru wondered
'With the way they were sounding alarms and shinobi were running like chickens without heads I thought it would spread like wildfire' He wondered in confusion
'Naruto stole the scroll of seals and Mizuki was a traitor, Iruka probably got injured fighting Mizuki' Benimaru looked towards Naruto in slight annoyance
'I got woken up in the middle of the nigh cause of him, I'll make him pay later' He smiled in a devilish way as Sasuke who was beside him got creep out and thought, 'who pissed him off?'
Naruto who had been worried about Iruka breathe a sigh of relief when the instructor said that he was alive just injured but then felt a chill up his spine like he was in danger
"Anyway class since Iruka is not here I will be calling out the team assignments" He said while looking at his clipboard
"Team 7, Sakura Haruno, Naruto Uzumaki and Sasuke Uchiha. Your sensei is Kakashi Hatake" He announced boldly
Sakura slumped in sadness that Naruto was on her team. The boy in question was glad to be on Sakura's team
Sakura, however jumped for joy when she saw that Sasuke was on her team as she began arguing with the other fangirls boating how she and Sasuke were meant to be
Benimaru looked to Sasuke
"You got lucky" He said
"How so, cause I don't feel very lucky" Sasuke responded
"I'm on a team with a loudmouth brat and a girl who probably can't even throw a kunai properly" He said, slightly annoyed
"Maybe" Benimaru put his hands to the back on his head
"But you have the legendary Kakashi Hatake as your sensei"
"Legendary?" Sasuke asked
"You'll find out in due time" he responded vaguely
"Team 8" The instructor began again
Choji Akimichi, Ino Yamanaka and Shikamaru Nara. Your jonin sensei is Asuma Sarutobi"
No response, no shock or surprise. Choji was eating his chips, minding his own business.
Shikamaru was asleep
Ino although annoyed that her and Sasuke weren't on the same team, accepted long ago that there was nothing she could do
'these kids could at least act surprised' the instructor thought 'The ino-shika-cho formation had been working for decades so it was unlikely going to change any time soon. They probably already realized that, but still a little acting wouldn't hurt anybody would it?!' The instructor sweatdropped and coughed to clear his throat
"Team 9 is still in circulation so team 10' He said
"Hinata Hyuga, Shino Aburame and Kiba Inazuka" The instructor called out
"Your sensei is Kurenai Yuhi"
Two people entered the room, a man and a woman. The man had dark black hair with rough features and a cigarette in his mouth
The woman had long flowing black hair and crimson red eyes. Both had the standard Konoha headbands on their foreheads and were equipped with the Standard Jonin flak jacket
"Team 8, follow me" The man said
"I'm Asuma Sarutobi, your sensei" He said as he walked out, smoking his cigarette
"Team 10, you're with me" The woman said smiling
"I am Kurenai Yuhi, your jonin sensei"
Both teams followed their respective sensei out of the classroom, leaving only team 7, Benimaru and a few other people
"Team 11" The man said
"Ryota Benimaru-" He called out but was interrupted
"I'm not joining a team" Benimaru said, waving off the instructor
"I'm forming a one man squad all on my own" he smirk which gave the man a tick mark on his forehead as he tried to reason with him
"These team assignments were made by the Hokage himself" The instructor tried to reason
"You can't just change them!" He said, his voice rising a little
"But I will and you can't stop me" Benimaru said calmly
The man rubbed his temples and sighed
'This is above my pay grade' he thought
"Only the Hokage himself has the power to change the team assignments" He tried to reason once more
"Then I'll just meet with the Hokage
