The long bank service message flashed on the screen, taking Alex by surprise. The phone he was holding slipped from his hand and was about to fall to the ground.

However, just in time, using his somewhat quick reflexes, he managed to catch it.

"This? Is this this thing real?" Clicking on the bank service message, Alex read it three times to confirm its authenticity. He knew how bank transactional messages were sent, so he didn't think it was a prank. But why? How had he suddenly received such a large sum of money?

'Did he receive this amount because of this strange translucent screen?' he wondered, a small smile creeping onto his face. Whether it was a mistake by the bank or something real, he had always wanted to have this much money in his life.

With this amount, he could practically buy many things that would aid him in the future. "But wait, didn't that notification say I could use this money for cash back?" Although Alex still had some doubts, this topic was worth exploring. Even if he wanted to, there was no way he could spend the entire amount on his own.

With so much money in his pocket, Alex had almost forgotten about his cheating girlfriend, Alissa. However, suddenly his phone rang, waking him from his happy small moment.

Looking at the screen, Alex realized it was a call from his delivery office boss, so he immediately picked up the phone. "Hello."

"Don't 'hello' me, you bastard. Where the hell are you? Do you think I'm paying you to sit on your ass in some random place?" The usual loud voice of the man came through, almost making Alex's ear bleed. "If you don't want to lose your job, return to your post now."

Since this was a daily occurrence, Alex didn't think much of the insults hurled at him. But now that he had enough money to start something of his own and survive, he decided to clap back. "Man, shut your fat ass up. I'm not coming back to your lousy shop; I'm resigning." and waited.

However haring no response from the other end for half a minute, as he had taken him by surprise, he hung up the phone. There was no use arguing with him after he had already made his decision.

First things first, with that much money, he had to go on a shopping spree. Looking like a below-poor chum and getting humiliated for it was no longer on his bucket list. So, putting the phone back in his pocket, he mounted his bike and made his way back to his rented small apartment.

His below-average room was cluttered with empty instant noodle cups, chip packets, and more. Looking at it now, he felt a bit of disgust. "Alright, let's clean this place up first," he mumbled. Pulling up his sleeves, he prepared to battle the garbage in the house.

The battle took more than two hours to finish, but in the end, Alex emerged victorious, sporting a wide smile as his apartment now looked more like a home instead of a pigsty.

With the cleaning done, Alex decided to clean himself as well and take a shower before going out shopping. With his messy appearance, he would likely be kicked out of any store, mistaken for a beggar. "No, I can't let that happen." Alex shook his head before picking up a towel and rushing into the washroom.

Half an hour later, Alex finally emerged from the shower looking a bit more handsome. He had thoroughly cleaned his face and used a product he had purchased but never used, fearing he would run out and increase his spending. But now, with a hundred thousand dollars in his account, he didn't have to worry about such things, and as a result, his face shone brightly.

After putting on new clothes, which he had originally planned to wear on a date with his now cheating girlfriend, he thought, 'Ugh… why did I have to remember her?' Anger surged back in his mind at the mere thought of her. But pushing that thought away, he got ready and picked up his mobile phone along with the new MFRB bank card.

Seeing the sleek card, he was impressed with its design, but a bit of confusion washed over him as he had never heard of such a bank before. "Maybe I was always a frog in a well," he muttered aloud.

'But now, with this new money and that so-called tycoon cashback system, i am definitely going to change my life for the better.' With resolute thoughts in his mind, he stuffed the card into his pocket and walked out of his apartment, heading for a nearby ATM to withdraw some cash.

Few minutes later.

"Bloody hell, there's really an extra hundred thousand dollars in my account," Alex mumbled as the ATM's screen flashed the total amount after he withdrew two hundred dollars.

With real-time proof of the money in his account and warm notes resting in his hand, the lingering fear of hallucinating finally vanished from Alex's mind as he hailed a cab next and headed to the city's best mall, instead of visiting any roadside shop this time.

The XYZ Mall, though its name was peculiar, was renowned as one of the best malls. Looking at the tall building with sleek glass windows, Alex knew he had come to the right place. Without wasting any time, he paid the cab driver and exited the car.

[Ding... host has spent ten dollars, activating 10X critical cashback.]

Ding.

Another dinging sound chimed in as the cab zoomed past him, and Alex realized it was from his phone. The text on the translucent screen hadn't changed, so he took out his phone and saw the bank app popping up with a message.
