Felix froze, momentarily startled by the deep frustration in her voice, then as awareness dawned on him, his expression darkened. Anger burned in his chest. "Willow, how long are you going to keep this up?"
He had given him an easy way out, but she had responded with cold indifference. How dare she. She clearly didn't know how to appreciate his kindness.
Willow stared at Felix with a cynical look. There was mockery in her gaze. "Didn't I tell you before that whatever we had is over? How long will it take you to realize that we're done? When will you finally realize that there's no relationship between us anymore? Do you still think I want to be with you?"
Willow's sharp words landed like a slap, and Felix felt a rumbling in his chest.
For the first time, panic flashed in his eyes. Was she serious? Was this relationship really over?
