Chapter 3 - Chapter 3 – Dungeon Master.

Question #1.

1 - How does the dungeon grow?

2- What exactly are the dungeon monsters?

For both of these answers, the one that needs to be present would be the person/being in charge.

Dungeon master.

With now working consciousness, the dungeon master was finally able to understand the information that had flooded it head and use it.

The dungeon master, with its newfound knowledge, approached the dungeon core to use it.

Dungeon core is both the heart of the dungeon and the dungeon master, but it is also the tool, an organ that is meant to be used.

[DP counter: 1002]

A special form of a system that can be used only by the dungeon master alone.

This system is used to manage the dungeon as well as everything that happens inside of it.

Now, how can it do it?

Obviously not for free, since that would be cheating.

DP.

A.K.A (Dungeon Points).

These points are used to manage the dungeon and is also used to create monsters.

How to gather these points?

Miasma.

Dungeon gathers the miasma and converts it into energy, giving miasma a form that can be used.

A special form of currency, you could also call it.

Now: How does the dungeon gather this so called miasma and convert it into DP?

 There are multiple ways.

1 – Dungeon will generate miasma and in turn DP over time – The amount of generated miasma depends on the dungeon rank.

2 – Dungeon structure and size – Structure and size of the dungeon could help out in many different ways when it comes to gathering the miasma.

3 – Monsters – Dungeon monsters born in the dungeon produce miasma, feeding the dungeon.

And then the fourth method.

Sacrifice.

What sort of sacrifice?

 Well….. This, for example.

The bodies of the deceased adventurers and their energies that was absorbed by the dungeon upon their death.

And that is what the creature did.

The dungeon had devoured the remains of the adventurers, but not everything.

Bow.

Sword.

Dagger.

Shield.

And staff.

Those are the objects that got the creature curious.

The creature saw the young adventurers using these weapons to harm the creature.

The creature was provided with the basic information about the world about the dungeon, so it knew some stuff about magic, but only extremely basic stuff. Nothing extremely scary like "DOOM WORLD DESTRUCTION MAGIC".

However, the creature couldn't use magic.

The creature tried playing around with the staff that the mage boy had left behind, trying to use spells, but nothing came.

Sword, shield and dagger were next. They got the creature somewhat curious.

It didn't understand why these weapons were used, but it also knew that they may have some use, so it put them aside for now alongside the staff.

However, the thing that the monster was most interested in was the bow and arrows.

Obviously the creature didn't know how to use the bow.

It tried to somewhat replicate the girl action, only to fail even worse than total armature.

But it was curious.

This wasn't magic or anything special.

The girl was able to make the arrows fly and hit the target.

How did she do it?

Curiosity took the creature and made it pay most attention to the bow of all the weapons it had taken from the adventures.

It didn't know how to use the weapon, but it didn't stopped the creature from trying to understand it.

"…"

However, the creature also realized something.

(Danger.)

The creature knew that maybe sooner or later it would be attacked, which had caused the creature to finally start working as the dungeon master.

But right now, it couldn't do much, nor had it developed enough intelligence to do any "master mind plans".

So, what it did was extremely basic. Create monsters.

Dungeon monsters.

What are they?

When the young adventurers slew the rabbit monsters, their corpses didn't disappeared, but the dungeon monsters' bodies did?

So how does that work?

Explanation.

The dungeon monsters' bodies aren't technically real or completed.

They are made out of spectral miasma, and thanks to this, the dungeon monsters can be formed inside of the dungeon from the get go.

However, there are a few problems.

First is that these monsters are trapped.

They cannot physically leave or exist outside the dungeon.

Second problem, these monsters cannot reproduce, even if they have reproductive organ.

The third problem is limited consciousness. These monsters aren't very smart from the get go, they can develop themselves over time, but pretty much on the start they are dumb unless enough time had passed for them to get used to "being themselves". However, there are some monsters that have somewhat base intelligence that can be said "good" or they have solid instincts.

So, what sort of creature can the dungeon master make?

The answer.

Wooden Mannequin.

This was the only monster that the dungeon could produce.

And as we saw before, it wasn't really much when it faced off against the young adventurers. They swept the floor with them.

But what choice did the dungeon master have?

The dungeon was still very young and it had only born recently, and the dungeon master itself was also just born and was still young and inexperienced.

However, there was one positive thing about the current situation.

The creature's curious nature.

An nature of wanting to learn.

And the information that it was born it, about the dungeon and the basics, it made it even more curious.

It was looking around, testing out different things and learning.

And as it learned, it got more curious.

Its young curiosity, it was innocent yet so "interesting" and "fun" that made the creature act more and more.

It summoned a monster.

It killed the monster.

It changed a bit dungeon.

It damaged bit dungeon.

It dug a hole in dungeon.

It repaired the dungeon.

(CURIOS! CURIOS! CURIOS! CURIOS!)

The creature's innocent curiosity started acting up.

When it finally started doing its work as the dungeon master, it started asking questions on "how" and "what"

It did it for hours.

Even though the creature was only just born, it was curious about everything, and that in turn caused it to learn.

It understood more and more how the dungeon operation works, but it wasn't the end.

It wanted to ask more questions about everything.

Wondering and asking questions while also trying to understood them. Repeating the same thing for long time.

Honestly, there were no new adventures or invaders, meaning that the creature had time for itself.

However, there was no rule stating that the adventurers are the only beings that can invade the dungeon.

ANYTHING can invade the dungeon.

And that includes wild monsters, such as the horned rabbits that had made their way into the dungeon.

And obviously this also resulted in something very obvious.

[CURIOSITY]
