Chapter 31 - Bonus Chapter 1

Graduation Night – Back at the Apartment

The room felt different tonight.

Everything was familiar, his neatly folded clothes on the chair, Chi Cheng's water bottle on the desk, the soft glow from the nightlight that Chi Cheng always left on just for him. But tonight, it all felt heavier, soaked in the weight of finality.

Graduation.

They had walked the campus together for the last time in those black robes, smiled at cameras, hugged friends who had no idea how intertwined their fates truly were. Wu Suo Wei had barely spoken during the drive back. He kept glancing sideways at Chi Cheng, memorizing every inch of him, the crease in his brows, the way his fingers tapped gently on the steering wheel, his quiet sighs.

He was beautiful. His Cheng Ge. His fiancé.

Chi Cheng had told him he loved him. And since that night, something inside Wu Suo Wei had shifted. Grown. Solidified. But still–tonight, in the silence of the apartment, Wu Suo Wei's heart ached with something raw.

Maybe it was fear.

He stood by the window in a loose white shirt, watching the city lights blink like faraway stars. The sound of the shower running in the bathroom reminded him that Chi Cheng was still there, just a few steps away. Still his.

When Chi Cheng stepped out, towel around his neck, hair damp and messy, Suo Wei didn't turn to look. He didn't have to.

"Silly," Chi Cheng said softly, walking over. "Why are you standing in the dark like that?"

"I don't know," Suo Wei whispered. "I was just thinking."

Chi Cheng wrapped his arms around him from behind, pressing his forehead to Suo Wei's shoulder. "Thinking about what?"

"If we'll still be like this after this night," Suo Wei said, voice trembling.

Chi Cheng turned him around. Gently. Slowly. Like Wu Suo Wei was something fragile.

"I'm not letting you go," Chi Cheng said. "I never was."

Their eyes locked. The distance between them, already nonexistent, melted further. Chi Cheng leaned in first, brushing his lips against Suo Wei's with aching tenderness.

Wu Suo Wei melted.

Their kiss deepened. He felt Chi Cheng's hands trail down his waist, slipping under the edge of his shirt. His own fingers fumbled, grabbing at Chi Cheng's damp t-shirt, tugging it up, exposing warm skin.

They moved together like they had done this a thousand times in their hearts.

Chi Cheng lifted him onto the bed without breaking the kiss, their breaths mingling, hearts thudding. Wu Suo Wei's legs wrapped around Chi Cheng instinctively. His fingers dug into his fiancé's back, pulling him closer, whispering his name.

"Cheng Ge..."

"Da Bao," Chi Cheng breathed into his neck, lips trailing kisses over his collarbone. "My Da Bao. Only mine."

Suo Wei gasped when Chi Cheng's hand dipped lower, fingers brushing over sensitive skin. Their bodies tangled, heat building between them in waves. Wu Suo Wei's mind blurred, his world narrowing to Chi Cheng's touch, his scent, his voice.

They undressed each other slowly, carefully—as if honoring every inch. The room was filled with hushed moans, whispered promises, and the soft rustle of sheets. When Chi Cheng finally entered him, it wasn't rushed. It wasn't rough. It was full.

Complete.

Wu Suo Wei clung to him, eyes wet, heart bursting.

"I love you," he whispered shakily. "So much."

Chi Cheng kissed the tears from his cheeks. "I know. And I love you even more."

They moved in rhythm, a dance they had waited years to share. And when it ended, Suo Wei curled up against Chi Cheng's chest, fingers laced with his.

"Graduation night," he mumbled.

"Our beginning," Chi Cheng said.

And for the first time in a long time, Wu Suo Wei felt no doubt.

Only love. Only warmth. Only forever.
