Chapter 4 - BAB 4

Morning

The morning sunlight slowly seeped through the gaps in the window blinds, dancing across the still-silent walls of the room. A digital alarm clock on the small table ticked softly, and at precisely 6:00 a.m., its sharp beep shattered the silence.

With lazy movements, Kaito fumbled for his phone, pressing the snooze button without actually opening his eyes.

"Ah... it's morning, huh…" he muttered softly, his voice still hoarse.

After waking up, Kaito immediately headed to the bathroom to freshen up. After a few moments, Kaito finished his shower and put on his new school uniform.

He wore a neat school uniform. A navy blue suit with white stripes on the collar and cuffs added an elegant and dignified impression. Three silver buttons glistened on the front of the suit, while the school crest was neatly pinned to the left breast. Beneath the suit, a crisp, perfectly ironed white shirt peeked out from between the collars. A matching blue striped tie hung neatly around his neck, tied with a fitting knot. Gray trousers added a formal touch.

Kaito looked at himself in the mirror and said narcissistically, "Hehe... I look so handsome in this uniform. No wonder Gojo Satoru was one of the most handsome anime characters in my previous life."

After that, Kaito immediately headed to the kitchen to make breakfast.

In the kitchen, Kaito immediately prepared the ingredients for a sandwich: two slices of bread, an egg, lettuce, and fresh tomato slices. He opened the refrigerator and took out a bottle of cold milk, carefully placing it on the countertop.

Without further ado, he turned on the stove and heated a small pan. He poured in enough cooking oil, then cracked an egg and cooked it until the yolk was half-boiled, just the way he liked it. A delicious aroma began to fill the kitchen.

While waiting, he toasted the bread in a small toaster. Once it was crisp enough, he began to assemble the sandwiches: one slice of bread, lettuce, hot egg, fresh tomato, and topped it off with the second slice of bread.

He poured the milk into a clear glass, creating a gentle froth on the surface. With one hand, he held his warm sandwich; with the other, he held a glass of cold milk that had formed a thin layer of condensation on its surface.

Kaito sat on a wooden chair by the window, silently eating his breakfast. The morning sun shone on his face.

After finishing breakfast, Kaito immediately hurried to his new school in this world.

Honestly, Kaito was very curious about the city and school in the world where he had just been reincarnated.

Kaito walked along the sidewalk, which was bustling with people on their way to work or school.

Along the way, Kaito became the center of attention, due to his handsome face combined with his silver-white hair and bright blue eyes, which were very similar to Gojo's six eyes. It was hard to ignore him.

"Hey, look at that guy, he looks really handsome."

"You're right, and he exudes a charming aura."

"Look at his uniform. He's a Raizen High School student like us."

"Yeah, you're right. Is he a transfer student?"

"I guess so."

Along the way, many girls from Raizen High School stared at Kaito and whispered about him. Many of them stared at him with blushing faces; Kaito had no idea what they were thinking.

After walking for a few minutes, Kaito finally arrived at the front gate of Raizen High School and was stunned by the sight before him.

The school stood majestically amidst the embrace of a vast green forest, as if hidden from the hustle and bustle of the city. The building looked sturdy and modern, consisting of three stories with pristine white walls and a shiny blue roof that glistened in the morning sun. In the center, a small tower towered, serving as a focal point and a symbol of the school's pride.

A neat path cut through the courtyard leading to the main entrance, lined with small trees planted in rows, providing a peaceful atmosphere for anyone who stepped inside. A small garden adorned the left side of the building, and in the distance, birdsong could be heard, echoing the breeze flowing through the trees on the surrounding hills.

To the right side of the school lay a spacious sports field, its golden-brown soil surrounded by a low fence and rows of shady trees. The field was a silent witness to the cheers of the game, the laughter of the crowd, and the vibrant spirit of youth every morning and afternoon.

At the back of the school, an outdoor swimming pool with a transparent blue curved roof could be seen. The reflection of the water shimmered, inviting anyone to immerse themselves in its coolness.

Kaito immediately made his way to the staff room to arrange his transfer to this school.

As he walked, Kaito felt the stares of many of the students, but he ignored them Just like that, Kaito went straight to the teachers' lounge.

Not knowing the way to the teachers' lounge, Kaito asked a girl walking directly in front of him.

A girl was walking to her classroom when her steps suddenly stopped when a soft but clear voice came from behind her.

"Excuse me... do you know the way to the teachers' lounge?"

The voice made her turn reflexively, and when her eyes met the figure standing a few steps away, her heart beat faster. A tall man stood there, neatly dressed, with slightly messy silver-white hair and piercing sky-blue eyes that looked both friendly and charming. He smiled, and the smile seemed to lighten the air around him.

"A-a-ah, t-t-teachers' lounge... yes, that's it... t-t-t-follow the path straight to... to the right... er, left... t-I mean right after the stairs..." she stammered, her face instantly reddening like a boiled crab.

Her hand trembled as she pointed, but her fingers were crossed, not knowing where she was pointing.

Kaito, seeing this, held back a chuckle, but his tone remained polite. "So... right, huh? After the stairs?"

He nodded quickly, so quickly that his black bangs almost covered his eyes.

"Y-yes! That's right... s-sorry if I confused you... h-it's hot today, isn't it? Hehe..."

The morning breeze had just begun to gently blow.

He bowed deeply, hoping the ground beneath his feet would open so he could slip through and disappear from view. But the man only smiled wider, then bowed slightly in thanks.

"Thank you. You've been very helpful."

And then he left, walking away quietly.

The girl, meanwhile, remained standing there, her hands gripping her uniform skirt tightly, her heart beating wildly in her chest. Her cheeks were still hot. She stared at his retreating back, muttering softly.

"Oh my... he looks so handsome..."

After following the girl's instructions, Kaito arrived at the teacher's lounge door.

The teacher's lounge door opened slowly.

"Excuse me... I'm a transfer student. My name is Arashi Kaito."

His soft baritone voice made several teachers' heads look up from their piles of files. A young man stood in the doorway, tall, neat, and with a calm aura that was hard to ignore. His school uniform was perfectly worn, his tie tied symmetrically, and his silver-white hair looked like it had been deliberately left slightly messy, giving him a casual yet attractive impression.

"A-aaaah! Kaito-kun, huh?!" a distinctive, slightly high-pitched voice came from the corner of the room.

A young woman stood up in a bit of a hurry, nearly dropping the folder she had just been holding. Her brown hair was tied in a low ponytail, and she was wearing a typical female teacher's blazer, complete with a knee-length skirt and... seemingly misplaced indoor shoes.

"Oh, I forgot to meet you at the gate!" she said, jogging over. "I'm Tamae Okamine, your homeroom teacher. But you can call me Okamine-sensei, okay? Or... well, just sensei is fine, ah, but don't be too casual, okay?"

Kaito simply bowed politely. "Nice to meet you, Sensei."

Tamae smiled nervously, rubbing the back of her head. "Well... I hope you weren't too surprised. I may be a bit clumsy, but I'm a good teacher, they say."

Some of the teachers behind her held back quiet laughter.

"Come on, follow me to class! The kids will be surprised to see you. Uh, I mean, because you're new, not because you're handsome... uh, that's not what I meant either! Aaaah!" she said quickly, her cheeks starting to blush.

Kaito just smiled slightly.

Slightly panicked but still excited, Tamae Okamine led the new student out of the staff room. And as they walked towards class 2-B, she still muttered under her breath,

"Why do I always say the wrong thing at important moments..."

Glancing at Kaito walking behind her, Tamae Sensei thought to herself,

'He does look very handsome...'
