Once back in the familiar snowy plain, he immediately transformed to the first race he newly acquired.
Hell hound.
His ice tiger features started changing.
His long white tail catched red fire from his butt area all the way to the tip. Also the color of the tail became red.
His white tiger ears became pointed as they become black.
His eyes took on a more red glow as his irises beame black
His hair became slightly more bright with red strips.
"There is something off about this transformation. Shouldn't it be stronger?"
Shadow narrowed his eyes as he thought.
This was a transformation of a hell hound, they should be the main bloodline of a progenitor and consequently, be strong.
But he feels it is too weak compared to the first time he got the ice tiger legendary race.
Although that was to be expected after all it was the race if the progenitor himself, it shouldn't be this far.
That's when shadow realized there was no free lunch in this world.
He realized he just got a higher race than the fire wolf race with the only privilege being the bloodline oppression.
But his eyes lit up when he remembered the advantage of higher concentration bloodlines.
Their growth and increase if power is enormous!
For example, if a normal fire wolf broke through to the 2nd rank 1st stage, his power would be the same as that.
But the hell hounds....
If they broke through the same stage, their power would be nearing the middle stage even though they are still 1st stage.
That's the advantage of bloodline.
"Well, there is no do about it. Let's start experimenting"
Shadow says as he looks towards a nearby ice boulder.
He raises his hand and uses his newly fire ability.
A huge crimson fire ball is made in the air above his raised hand.
"Wooooah... Cool"
Shadow's eyes light up in excitement as he sees the fireball.
Then he casually throws the fire ball at the boulder.
BOOOOOM!
a huge explosion is heard in the vicinity and a huge ditch is made in the ground.
"Holy.... "
Shadow nearly cursed after seeing the aftermath.
He carefully sensed his energy reserves and found that 5% are gone with this attack.
Although it sounds small, it's a huge amount.
And using this attack too much during battle is dangerous.
"Good thing my wives aren't nearby, or they would have rushed and saw me in this transformation"
Shadow sighs in relief as he thought about this.
But a sudden thought emerges in his mind.
'Should I tell them about my abilities?'
He learned from his mistake the last time when he lied about going to seclusion to cultivate.
He still remembers their looks of disappointment.
And he doesn't like the thought of seeing them again.
But still, telling them is also dangerous.
In the vast cosmos, there are countless techniques of memory searching and enemies can use them to get information.
If they capture one of his wives and figure out it will be a disaster.
Though, for the enemy to get to his wives is a disaster for him alone.
[rest assured. No one can get near them nor your mind with evil intentions]
The system suddenly sounds with determination and conviction evident in its voice.
Suddenly hearing the system's voice which seemed to suddenly became more 'humane' his eyes widen.
He had been in deep thoughts for a while.
"What do you mean?"
Shadow asks with a bit of skepticism.
Since when did the system become so generous?
[The system protects the host and his achieved goals. host has no reason to fear them fading away in the vast void]
The system replies with confidence.
Hearing this shadow heaves a sigh of relief.
That's good, he can now tell them without fearing anything.
Wait! something feels strange.
Shadow reads the system message again and gets a strange feeling.
What is the system talking about?
Achieved goals? Shouldn't it say loved ones or something?
And what about fading away and the vast void?
To start, he has no fear of them fading away, specifically. He fears them dying or getting hurt.
And what about the vast void? There isn't such a place in the universe.
Something is not right.
Shadow narrows his eyes at the system but doesn't ask about it.
He knows his bastard system too good to believe it won't answer his questions.
But thinking back...
The monster gates test, the error in the video scene, and now this strange sentence.
The system is hiding something, and it is big.
He soon ignores the system and goes back to trying his races.
He starts to slowly transform to his hell hound monster form.
Light covers his body and when it is gone, we see his new form.
A large wolf about 200 meters tall is seen.
His black fur with red strips glimmered under the sunlight.
His crimson red eyes with the black iris in the middle gave him an intimidating look.
One would ask; why isn't this transformation as big as
The ice tiger transformation?
Let's say after you get strong to a certain point , the power is compressed into a smaller body, enhancing combat.
After all, a target as large as a hill is too easy to kill.
And how did I suddenly gain this increase in strength?
I am trying to figure it out myself.
I examine my transformation and try to make sense of what's happening.
This doesn't make sense, I didn't have any breakthroughs.
Let's see....
What have I done in these past few days.
I start recounting the past week trying to see if I did anything in particular that could help me improve.
I open my eyes wide as I remember.
"Breaking through to the 6th rank requires not only accumulation but also an expanding in the abilities usage, which consequently expands your power and your being"
Shadow starts to think back to the past when he first got to this world.
___________
The little Shadow sat on the ground with a tablet in his lab as he read about cultivation on the internet.
"Aziruth, come and eat with the others!"
An old lady around her 60s entered the small room and called out to the little boy.
"Coming!"
Shadow puts down the tablet and follows the old woman.
'Strange child'
The old woman thinks to herself as she leads the boy.
___________
That was when he was still in the orphanage.
Yes, the humans are so technologically advanced that tablets are like books in our days.
That was Shadow's funny joke to himself as he finished reminiscing.
