Chapter 7 - The Judgement

I judged him. I casted a stone. I didn't even know him and I judged him.

Ding-ding. Look at you finally putting things together.

That boy you judged. Jake. His mother was murdered when he was 11 by her ex that she hid from for years. She never told anyone about him so no one knew he even existed. He found out she was married and he killed her. Since no one knew of her ex, they blamed his father. An innocent man. He was sentenced to life in prison, Jake being the only one to believe his innocence. Jake and his little brother were tossed from foster care to foster care. He worked his way into college. He studied, the goal in mind was to create a better life for him and his brother. And to make sure innocent people can remain free.

"I am sorry. I have sinned. I casted judgement when I am not one to judge. I ask for forgiveness."

I cannot forgive you.

"May I ask why, you're an angel right. Can't angels forgive?"

Yes, angels can forgive. And while yes I am technically an angel, I am not capable of forgiveness. That is why I am part of the Fallen. And that is why my job here is what it is.

"So no fallen angel can forgive? I am stuck here?"

I did not say that. I said I cannot forgive you.

Shit. "Well. Can she forgive me, ma'am can you?"

She cannot.

"Why isn't she speaking?"

She chooses to not speak out of defiance, which is why she cannot forgive, so her punishment is to type all records. If you're not going to talk, you're going to type. Not talking drives the boss insane really. Especially when he asks questions and she ignores him. It's bad enough that we cannot verbally communicate but to completely go silent? Infurates him. She finds getting him worked up funny. She really gets under his skin when she types naughty things in her records. Want to hear what she wrote about you?

That stupid smile is back…
