CHAPTER 15: HOLY CHURCH OF TRUTH

"Buagh!" – Adrián let out several mouthfuls of blood, despite his physique, in front of that corpse, he was nobody. Even at this moment, his desperation to live was greater than the fear he felt. Even with his body crushed, trying to let go in every possible way.

"No! I won't die here!" – I didn't know how many times he had said the same word, throughout his short life. But he wasn't going to give up so easily.

As the cheers, praises, and chants continued, the corpse near the altar moved a skeletal hand forward, touching and gently grasping the expressionless white mask. I take it as if this were her adoration and her life itself.

Even in death, you could feel his great devotion.

But at that moment while demonstrating his great devotion, suddenly a great pressure arose.

"Crushing mountain!" – Adrian shouted, while his entire physical body collapsed, even so, the skeletal hands, fell to the ground due to the pressure, Adrian took advantage of the moment that the skeleton held the mask to be able to escape.

When he broke free, even with his feet shattered, Adrian propelled himself forward. This was his time to escape.

The skeleton simply ignored him, and watched as the mask shook from the pressure. This, for some reason, had unleashed an unprecedented great hatred for Adrian, which manifested itself throughout the room. Which, resounding with melodious chants, now gradually became desperate growls.

A great death intent spread like a ripple throughout the place, and hundreds of skeletal hands were released from the entire church. All with an irreversible hatred, and with a desire to murder.

Adrian knew that this was his end, there was no way he could escape. However, he tried desperately, with his bones broken, he pulled out the wooden sword next to a large amount of green rope.

He threw the green rope everywhere, each of his limbs had arrows tied, so they were stuck all over the church, the rope said that it was very resistant, putting the wooden sword in front of him.

This was his way of protecting himself.

But the skeletal hands were very powerful, so much so that they didn't care about the pressure Adrian released. It just pierced through all of them all over his body, only his head was protected by the wooden sword.

The skeleton on the altar was very angry, so much so that it could destroy Adrian's body in an instant. But just as he tried to pierce his heart and head, it stopped.

He was reluctant to do so, but as angry as he was, his unprecedented power had to stop.

He moved all his hands off Adrian, who was barely alive, anyone would have died in his situation, even a cultivator, but Adrian, still had his revenge, and his hatred towards the figures in the sky who took everything from him. That was why he was able to resist a little longer than the others.

But even in that way he could see the end of his path.

With his breath short, his eyes and mouth filled with blood, from his severed or split organs.

His one hand trembled, as he tried to move it so he could escape.

The skeleton looked at all this, and let out a thunderous roar that burst its eardrums.

It was as if she didn't care about Adrián and wanted him to disappear. But at the same time, he couldn't do it, his bony hands moving the white mask, pushing aside the hundreds of corpses around him.

Chants and rites followed, followed by melodious sounds. As if a celestial being came down from heaven.

The skeleton raised the mask to the sky, freeing itself from his hands, at which point he prostrated himself before it, as did the countless corpses.

The mask slowly descended. The praises increased along with their singing, a roar followed by an even stronger tremor, even began to resound throughout the city.

Anyone who felt it, would be afraid, as it could be the start of a powerful beast approaching.

But even the beasts, which had lost all senses, could feel a chilling fear.

When the mask descended, it fell in the direction of Adrian's face.

Adrian, seeing this, wanted to move by any means, but two skeletal hands stopped him.

"I don't want to... what... this... be my end" – He said such words, but he couldn't do anything about this point. I just close my eyes.

The white mask fell on his face, piercing his flesh, burning it, to embed itself in his bones. At that moment a great explosion of energy ran through his body, regenerating several of his broken parts.

Even in front of the mask, new flesh and skin appeared.

Covering it as if it had never existed.

When he merged with Adrian's face, all the skeletons turned to dust, except for the skeleton with the chandelier, the solo lasted a few moments, before kneeling and a harsh voice sounded.

"I'm sorry" – were the last words that came out of his mouth, before disappearing, who knows if the apology was directed at Adrian, or at the mask.
