The First Node
FADE IN:
INT. MALAKOR'S SAFE HOUSE, MUMBAI - NIGHT
The episode opens on the shocking revelation from the end of Episode 35. KAELEN stares at the young woman they rescued, her mind reeling. The Nexus is not one person; it's a network of people, or "Nodes."
> Kian is a hydra. We cut off one head, and another appears.
The young woman, PRIYA, is terrified. The Null's "sterilization" has severed her connection to the Nexus, leaving her with a profound sense of loss, a phantom limb in her soul.
The main plot is a tense, claustrophobic game of cat and mouse. The team, now in an uneasy alliance with MALAKOR, must protect Priya and escape Mumbai. Malakor argues for using Priya as bait to trap the Silencer. Kaelen refuses, creating the central conflict: Malakor's ruthless pragmatism versus Kaelen's protective morality.
Side Story (Government):
At the Pentagon, GENERAL MARCUS THORNE reviews the satellite feed from Mumbai. He sees his brother, LEO, working alongside Kaelen's team and the man he now knows is Malakor. His task force, Project STYX, officially designates Kaelen's team as a "rogue variable" and Malakor as a "hostile entity." But he also sees the Silencer's impossible technology. He gives a secret order to his most trusted agent: "Capture one of the hostiles, but I also want to know what they were fighting. Find me a ghost."
Side Story (Media):
A montage of news reports shows the world reacting to the Mumbai event, which is now being called the "Mumbai Lights." A charismatic, fast-talking conspiracy theorist, JAX, becomes a recurring figure on cable news, arguing that "The Glitch" is a coordinated attack by a shadow government. He gains a massive online following, turning public fear into a political movement.
The Climax:
A Null Silencer tracks them to the safe house. The team is forced to flee into the crowded Mumbai night. The escape is a desperate, high-stakes chase through the streets. Malakor, using his advanced weaponry, and Julian, with his tactical skill, hold off the Silencer. Leo and Kenji create a digital smokescreen, hacking the city's infrastructure to cause blackouts and traffic jams.
The episode ends with the team escaping on a cargo ship, Priya in tow. They have their first Node, but they are now fugitives from every major power on Earth, and their alliance with Malakor is already fracturing.
