Chapter 69 - CHAPTER -64: Detention Collision

The principal's voice was ice.

"Both of you. My office. Now."

The hallway gasped as Kairo and Ayan were marched down like prisoners on parade. Neither spoke, neither broke stride. Their silence was its own battlefield, each step a dare.

By the time the office door shut behind them, the tension was suffocating.

The principal's glare cut through the air. "You two are disrupting the entire campus. I don't care what this… feud is about. You'll settle it quietly. Together."

Ayan's lips twitched into a calm, almost mocking smile. "So detention?"

"Detention," the principal snapped. "Every evening. One week. Together. Until I'm convinced you can work without tearing this place apart."

Kairo chuckled low in his throat, leaning against the wall with that infuriating ease. "Guess we're stuck with each other, Omega."

The word hung heavy — deliberate, venom-laced.

Ayan's eyes flicked to him, cool and sharp. "You say that like it's me who can't handle being around you."

The principal didn't catch the undertone, but the weight of it thickened the room.

"Enough," the man barked. "Get out."

They left in silence, side by side but galaxies apart.

Only when they reached the empty stairwell did Kairo break it, stepping closer, voice low, dangerous.

"Every evening. Just you and me."

Ayan tilted his head, unfazed.

"Careful, Kairo. You might find out what happens when you're locked in with the very thing you can't control."

Kairo's smile cracked wide, sharp, a wolf catching the scent of blood.

"Good. I like losing control."

The stairwell seemed to shrink around them, shadows closing in, the tension simmering past the point of no return.
