Chapter 67 - CHAPTER -62: Sparks in the Open

By morning, the whispers had turned into wildfire.

The stairwells, the canteen, even the bulletin board — everyone was talking about them.

The Alpha and the Omega.

The constant fights, the closeness, the tension.

Some said Ayan had Kairo pinned.

Others swore Kairo nearly kissed him.

And when the two finally walked into class side by side, silence rippled through the room. Dozens of eyes fixed on them, waiting for something.

Ayan felt it burn against his skin. His jaw clenched, books pressed tight to his chest.

Kairo, of course, basked in it — his smirk lazy, his steps unhurried, as if the entire school existed for his entertainment.

"Guess we're the show now," Ayan muttered under his breath, sliding into his seat.

Kairo leaned down just enough for only him to hear.

"Good. I like when they watch."

Ayan's glare could have cut steel.

But then — the class president spoke up, grinning far too wide.

"Since you two are already the talk of the school, why don't you present first? Together."

The room erupted in snickers and knowing looks.

Ayan froze. His heart skipped once, hard.

Kairo, on the other hand, just straightened, every inch of him radiating control.

"Fine," he said smoothly, glancing sideways at Ayan. "We'll give them something worth talking about."

When Ayan stood beside him at the front of the class, shoulders brushing, the air shifted. Too close. Too charged.

Every word they exchanged during the presentation was precise, sharp, but their undertones were unmistakable — like knives disguised as smiles.

When Kairo leaned a little too close to whisper the next point, the whole class gasped.

When Ayan smirked right back, calm and dangerous, the whispers turned into a low hum.

By the end, no one was even listening to the project.

They were watching the collision of two forces, waiting for the inevitable spark.

And both boys knew it.

As they sat back down, Kairo brushed his sleeve against Ayan's deliberately.

"Your move, Omega," he murmured.

Ayan tilted his head, lips curving faintly.

"Oh, don't worry. It's coming."

The class buzzed louder than ever. The rumors had teeth now — and there was no putting them back in the dark.
