Chapter 4 - Elite Follower Race

Werewolves (named by Guo Wenbin)

Intelligent Race (Elite)

Level: 1

Strength: 2.0 (average adult human standard = 1)

Constitution: 1.8

Agility: 1.6

Spirit: 1.0 (potential to become a spellcaster)

Skills: Bloodthirst, Power Smash

Potential: Medium (partially sealed)

Lifespan: Average 50 years

This was the follower race Guo Wenbin cultivated in his Divine Domain.

They started out at the Elite rank. Even though their potential was partially sealed, it still rated as Medium.

To help new gods better understand their followers, the Pantheon Alliance divided follower races into five levels based on several key attributes:

If all base stats are below 2, the race is considered Common.

Common followers can only reach Level 2 at most—low power, low potential.

Level 2+ marks an Elite race.

The baseline is any single attribute reaching 2.0. Elite followers can reach Level 3 through training or battle.

Level 3 is the Exceptional tier, often seen as the mainstream races in Divine Domains—such as centaurs, elves, dwarves, and some beastkin.

These races usually start with at least one stat at 3.0, and most importantly, they have high potential and broad job compatibility.

Level 4 is Transcendent, typically reserved for races belonging to True Gods. These include dragons, titans, giants—or races that carry divine essence or blood.

Their base stats exceed 10.0 from birth.

Guo Wenbin originally obtained the Jackalmen Civilization Fireseed, which was a Common race.

But after enhancement by the Qiankun Cauldron, they evolved into a completely new species.

For convenience, Guo Wenbin named them Werewolves.

Regular jackalmen are Common-class even in adulthood, while his Werewolves are born Elite.

Their stats were more than double that of normal jackalmen, came with two skills, and had a much longer lifespan.

---

"Alert: Unknown force detected in your Divine Domain."

The same black vortex appeared again, but this time Guo Wenbin didn't descend into the domain personally.

He looked toward the front ranks—at the leader of the Werewolves.

---

Werewolves Chieftain

Intelligent Race (Exceptional)

Level: 1

Strength: 3.0

Constitution: 2.2

Agility: 2.2

Spirit: 1.8

Skills: Group Bloodthirst, Weak Spot Strike, Howl

Potential: Upper-Medium (sealed)

Lifespan: 12/60 years

This was a Level 3 Exceptional follower from birth.

A single chieftain led 133 Elite Tier-2 Werewolves, all armored and armed with heavy weapons like warhammers and battleaxes.

Aside from a few women and children, this was the full population of his Divine Domain.

Then, from the same direction as before, a massive Dire Wolf strode forward.

Seated atop the Dire Wolf was a knight clad entirely in iron armor, his head concealed beneath a wolf-shaped helm, dragging a massive spiked chain mace.

---

"Barely a month in, and he already cultivated a Tier-2 Elite race? Not bad. Time to give him a little pressure."

Outside the Divine Domain floated an indescribable divine figure, in front of thirty glowing screens—each corresponding to a Divine Domain.

Today was the first day of school for second-year students.

As the homeroom teacher of Class 1 – Combat Stream at Ningxin City No.1 High, Xiao Jianghai had arranged entrance assessments for every student.

Guo Wenbin had ranked only 20th during admissions, near the bottom.

But now, after fusing with his Civilization Fireseed, he became one of three students in the class who had successfully cultivated an Elite-rank race.

Despite the Pantheon Alliance's slogan of "equality between mortals and gods," divine schools operated quite differently in practice.

After all, this was an era where personal divine power reigned supreme.

The better the student, the more resources they received—and the harder their challenges would be.

Though teachers were granted divine duties related to love, teaching, and growth, they also underwent performance evaluations.

The more promising their students, the greater the resources the teachers would be awarded.

Thus, Xiao Jianghai adjusted the test and deployed a unit of Dire Wolf Knights—also an Elite race—to challenge Guo Wenbin's domain.

---

Dire Wolf Knight

Intelligent Race (Elite)

Level: 1

Strength: 2.0

Constitution: 1.6

Agility: 2.2 / 1.2 (Mounted / Unmounted)

Spirit: 0.8

Skills: Beast Partner, Brutal Strike

Potential: Medium

Lifespan: 40 years

On paper, the Dire Wolf Knights actually outmatched the Werewolves.

Since the school year had just begun, Xiao Jianghai only sent 50 Dire Wolf Knights.

Each mounted knight stood over three meters tall, and their chain maces, combined with their dire wolves, made the ground quake as they approached.

---

"The God of the Hunt watches over us—destroy these vile invaders!"

The Werewolf Chieftain roared, lifting his iron staff and charging forward.

---

"Only blood and slaughter can bring joy to our great master!"

The Dire Wolf Knights responded in unison, chain maces dragging, dire wolves bounding toward their foes.

---

Whizz! Whizz! Whizz!

The knights hurled dozens of small spiked maces before even closing in.

Some slammed into the Werewolves' helmets—blood flying, bones cracking.

If not for their iron helms, their skulls would have burst open.

Even with armor, many were knocked down. One unlucky fellow had his arm shattered completely.

---

"Haah!"

Leading the charge, the Werewolf Chieftain swung his iron staff in a wide arc, smacking aside a flying mace, then smashed down toward a dire wolf's forelegs.

But the dire wolf nimbly lifted its paws and countered with a bite toward his arm.

The knight atop the wolf wasn't idle either. With a howl, he brought his spiked chain mace crashing down.

---

"Awoo!!"

Faced with the seamless coordination of mount and rider, the chieftain roared with his Howl skill.

> Howl: Emits a shockwave that forces enemies within 1 meter to undergo a Will Check.

If they pass, nothing happens. If they fail, they fall into confusion, duration depends on both parties' strength.

The dire wolf and its rider stumbled, caught in confusion.

Seizing the chance, the chieftain smashed the knight's helmet with a thunderous blow.

As the dire wolf snapped back to reality, the chieftain swung again—finishing it off.

---

Although the Werewolves were elite, they clearly lagged behind the Dire Wolf Knights in direct charges.
