Chapter 3 - Loading the Cards

Before Guo Wenbin could fully catch his breath, a sudden fluctuation of space occurred, and in the blink of an eye, he found himself back in the classroom.

By now, over twenty students were already seated and chatting with each other, exchanging information.

"Wenbin, you're out! How did you do? With a wolf pack in your Divine Realm, the assessment must've been easy for you!"

A chubby student immediately asked about his test results the moment he saw Guo Wenbin appear.

But before Guo Wenbin could answer, the chubby boy went ahead and concluded for himself.

"But you need more than 500 tribe members to be considered excellent. I doubt many students reached that level."

Guo Wenbin simply smiled and nodded slightly. He greeted the homeroom teacher, then sat down quietly without saying anything else.

Before he transmigrated, he was already an adult, so he didn't enjoy mingling with kids. Even though they had spent a year together in class, he hadn't made any real friends.

Soon, the classroom was full—30 students in total.

The homeroom teacher gave a brief reminder on how to guide their followers to offer faith, but didn't say much else. After all, once they entered their second year and split into different classes, he wouldn't be teaching them anymore.

Then came the most important event: using the school's public divine artifact to inject divine power into their Divine Realms and accelerate time inside.

After all, they had just integrated the Flame of Civilization. Without acceleration, who knew how long it would take to develop intelligent life?

Once this was done, the first-year semester officially ended.

Everyone now had a one-month break before starting the second year.

Yes, in this world, students had very short vacations—especially new ones who had just established their Divine Realms.

Teachers typically monitored them closely—not only to inject divine power and help accelerate development, but also to prevent any uncontrollable events during the evolution of their realms.

Due to the suppression of divine power in the main plane, technology here was quite advanced. Guo Wenbin flew home in a hovercar.

His current life wasn't exactly humble. His family status was rather high: his clan leader was a True God, and his father was an eighth-turn demigod.

A demigod needed nine turns in total. Once someone reached the seventh turn, they could attempt to ignite the Divine Flame and ascend to True Godhood.

If one successfully completed nine turns, the chances of igniting the Divine Flame increased greatly. One could even establish a Divine Kingdom right away, bypassing the Weak Divine Power stage and directly becoming a lower-tier True God with a god kingdom.

His father had already reached the peak of the eighth turn and was preparing to break through to the ninth. He was considered a core figure among the clan's middle generation.

His mother was a seventh-turn demigod and currently hesitating—should she ignite her Divine Flame now or go for the ninth turn?

So from the moment Guo Wenbin was born, his minimum potential was that of a demigod. With a bit of effort, becoming a low-tier True God was almost guaranteed.

And once you became a True God, you gained eternal life.

When he got home, as expected, his parents weren't there.

He sent them a message through the communicator about being assigned to Class One, then collapsed onto his bed and fell asleep.

Even with the help of login pods, entering the Divine Realm still took a toll on the body, and plenty of rest was necessary afterward.

By the time he woke up, half a day had passed—and suddenly, he smelled something delicious in the air.

He walked out of his room and saw a graceful figure sitting at the dining table, quietly watching him.

"I knew you wouldn't disappoint us," said a calm and elegant voice.

"Mom."

Guo Wenbin greeted her, picked up his bowl and chopsticks, and began eating. The woman continued to watch him silently.

Once he finished his meal, she finally spoke.

"Your father is currently in seclusion and can't be disturbed. He asked me to pass along a message: 'You've always made him proud. He'll reward you next time he returns.' As for this—" she handed him a box, "this is my reward for you."

Her tone remained steady throughout. That's because the body she was using now was just a projection—not her real self.

In the main plane, once someone reached the demigod level, they would usually only leave behind an avatar here. Their true bodies would reside in their Divine Realms or explore other planes.

That was due to the heavy divine suppression on the main plane. In their own realms or other worlds, demigods were powerful beings. But on the main plane, they were no different from ordinary people—a contrast many found hard to accept.

The Guo family had joined a greater divine pantheon and was currently campaigning in a newly discovered crystal-wall system. So Guo Wenbin's mother's avatar couldn't sync with her real body. It was more like a robot than a person. Only when the real body took the initiative to sync would she know what happened here.

That's also why Guo Wenbin acted so casually around her.

After finishing her words, his mother raised her hand, and a box appeared.

Guo Wenbin took it and opened it immediately.

Inside were two cards, lying quietly.

Tier 1 Resource Card – Small Iron Mine (Load Card): Generates a small iron mine in your Divine Realm. Annual output: 100 tons.

Tier 1 Profession Card – Blacksmith (Consumable Card): Allows eligible beings to change profession to Blacksmith. Uses: 10/10.

These cards were tools created by the Divine Alliance to support young gods.

There were two types:

1. Load Cards – Once used, they merge permanently with the Divine Realm and provide ongoing benefits.

2. Consumable Cards – Limited-use items. Once used up, they disappear.

Cards were ranked by five tiers, matching the five levels of beings within the Divine Realm:

Tier 1: Common

Tier 2: Elite

Tier 3: Excellent

Tier 4: Extraordinary

Tier 5: Legendary

Tier 1 was the lowest, Tier 5 the highest—mainly used before reaching the demigod stage.

Once someone became a True God, their Divine Realm would be stable enough to directly absorb resources and creatures, without needing cards anymore.

The Divine Alliance had strict rules: all first-year students were forbidden from using any cards in their Divine Realms. That's because newly created realms hadn't even formed basic ecosystems yet, making them extremely fragile.

In the second year, the restrictions were eased a bit. Students were allowed to load two Tier 1 cards per month—one Load Card and one Consumable Card.

Of course, the divine power injected by the school to accelerate time didn't count toward this limit.

In fact, divine power used for acceleration or nurturing World Seeds came from the same origin. It wouldn't harm the Divine Realm—quite the opposite, it promoted growth and even stabilized the realm further. This allowed for more cards to be safely loaded.

But for now, that didn't concern Guo Wenbin.

He simply activated the two cards his mother gave him and applied them to his Divine Realm.

In the vast grassland, patches of mounds and wooden treehouses stood scattered.

A towering figure—nearly three meters tall with the body of a man and the head of a wolf—knelt on the ground. Around him, thinner jackal-wolf beings mimicked his posture as they prayed together:

> "O Creator of the World,

Lord of Creation and Law,

Supreme God of the Hunt and Fortune,

Please bless your faithful followers—grant us the strength to repel evil."

---

Your followers have completed a standard prayer.

Faith gained: +2,314

Floating in the sky, Guo Wenbin looked down at the praying jackal-wolves, a satisfied smile on his face.
