Kuraiya didn't even turn around to speak or look at them but he said in his mind [oh Jiraiya, you brought Naruto here to try and convince tsunade to become hokage, using his looks because he resembles her brother, you and orochimaru truly think alike.]
While tsunade was shouting at Jiraiya, under the table, she had her feet resting against kuraiya's knees, she stared at kuraiya after listening to his thoughts, before turning it to the newcomer's.
Jiraiya responded with a helpless face "no, actually I'm here for a reason that involves konoha".
Tsunade scoffed, and placed her feet over the other, while crossing her arms.
Kuraiya said to himself in his mind again [what am I, your foot rest, since your resting your feet there, don't blame me.]
He put his hands under the table, grabbed her feet and started massaging her feet.
"Hmm...." Tsunade muttered out a soft relaxed sigh, before quickly shutting her mouth, tsunade glared at kuraiya before masking it up.
Both Jiraiya and Naruto turned their heads to each other, before Jiraiya spoke up again "tsunade, have you heard, master hiruzan is...".
"Dead... I know" she looked down towards the table and felt like kicking kuraiya, but his hold on her was like a vice grip.
"Shizune.. told me" she made up a white lie, it was none other than the person in front of her who she found this out from, it was none other than kuraiya, who was now massaging her feet.
Jiraiya pulled out a chair and sat down along with Naruto, who was confused about the whole situation.
Jiraiya interlocked his hands and rested his chin on them "well the true reason as to why I'm here is... Is to ask you to take the seat of the next hokage".
Naruto immediately retorted with a "whaaaat!" He pointed his finger at tsunade and continued "you want this old hag as the hokage, well I refuse".
Tsunade heard kuraiya speak in his mind again [well, she can accept, and just put the Nara clan as the secretary along with others to take care of the small stuff, that way you won't have to be hauled up with paper work.] Tsunade thought that would be a good idea.
Then Tsunade clenched her fists tightly and stared angrily at Naruto and upon a closer look, she thought [just as expected, he really looks like nawaki, Jiraiya you bastard.]
Naruto was looking between both tsunade and Jiraiya before his gaze landed on kuraiya, "hmm, haven't I seen you before, I swear I have" he started scratching his head.
"Ahh, you... Your that guy from back then, ahh, when was it again, I remember it snowing and you helping me and that girl from those bullies, before taking her back home".
Jiraiya also turned towards kuraiya as well and asked "if your from konoha, how come your all the way at the borders of the fire nation" his gaze was scrutinizing the person next to him.
Kuraiya ignored the two and continued rubbing Tsunade's feet, as if to relieve his boredom.
Jiraiya slammed the table with his hand and shouted "damnit! I asked you a question".
Naruto who was by the side jumped up in fright, not understanding why his pervy teacher is being like this.
While tsunade finally put her feet down and stared angrily at Jiraiya, kuraiya who had his free time stopped, turned to stare at Jiraiya.
Jiraiya seeing the gaze of the brat in front of him retorted "hmph, what is it, you got a problem or something".
He saw kuraiya slowly stand up and reply to him "I do" Jiraiya stood up as well feeling like the kid in front of him was too cocky for his own good.
But when he stood up, kuraiya was still a head taller than him, so he had to look up.
Tsunade saw kuraiya's eyes turning gold and thought to herself [this, doesn't look good.]
Just as Jiraiya was about to start a fight with kuraiya, he got punched by tsunade, in which, it sent him flying.
Jiraiya who had been punched by tsunade, rubbed his cheek in pain, before sitting up quickly.
"What the hell tsunade, do you know this guy, and why the hell did you hit me just now" he felt aggrieved and thought something wasn't right about this whole situation.
Shizune quickly ran down the stairs from the inn from hearing the ruckus and was just watching from the sidelines, but no matter what she'll side with whatever tsunade does.
Naruto however was afraid, he didn't know why but his instincts screamed for him to run as far away as possible from this place, it was the same with kurama hidden within Naruto.
However since he can't run he curled up in a ball, while his fur was standing on end, he muttered to himself "that damn pervy old man, why the hell is he trying to start a fight with that monster".
Tsunade walked forward and said "you know what, I'll accept the title of hokage, but don't you dare, try and raise your hand to either of us".
Jiraiya pondered and mumbled to himself "us" his brain couldn't process what that meant, just as he was about to retort angrily, he said "what? Your accepting to become hokage".
Tsunade wanted to smash his head into the ground for a reason she couldn't understand, but she breathed out a soft breath in relief [don't say, I didn't save you just now or else you'll be a ragdoll.]
She turned her gaze to kuraiya who was behind her, only to see him staring down at her with softness, she felt a little warm inside, before turning back to the ones standing in front of her.
"You heard me, I said I'll take it" Jiraiya stood up, still rubbing his cheek, while glaring at kuraiya he mumbled to himself "this isn't over, we'll settle our business another time".
Naruto finally woke up from the feeling he had just now, to only find out that there was sweat dripping down, at every corner of his skin.
He finally fell to the floor laughing a little strangely "hahahaha, what was that, I was dreaming just now, right".
Jiraiya turned to stare at Naruto with a strange gaze, before asking him "what's wrong Naruto, why did you fall".
Naruto looked up at Jiraiya and started scratching his cheek, but he didn't say anything.
Jiraiya frowned and turned towards tsunade "well, let's head back to konoha, they need a leader, right now".
Tsunade scoffed, but nodded anyway and shouted "shizune, come here, we're leaving".
Kuraiya however stayed silent and just watched the whole thing while saying to himself [if we're going, then orochimaru will come out for the healing process, well as a good old friend, I'd say just heal him, then give him a beating, for using your loved ones in such a manner, but if he hurts you, don't worry about your life being forfeit orochimaru.]
The group all left the inn and Jiraiya again was seen staring at kuraiya, from time to time (is it jealousy or something more).
Naruto finally woke up from his frightened state and started acting normal again and shizune was just walking behind them while holding tonton.
Tsunade was doing the same as Jiraiya, staring at kuraiya, but not from anything else except waiting for him to say something about orochimaru appearing.
When they left the town and started walking further away until it was out of sight, she heard kuraiya speak [he's here.]
Tsunade clenched her fists tightly, then she heard him.
Orochimaru: well, tsunade, have you decided, I hope you've chosen the correct choice.
The entire group turned to stare at orochimaru and kabuto except for kuraiya, he turned his gaze to the sky, before turning to the distant trees.
[Your here as well, Itachi, to think you've been watching orochimaru for so long without him noticing, in the series you always watched over Sasuke, to think it was to the point of stalking his attackers.]
Kuraiya felt strange and he further thought [is it because he attacked your brother and placed that cursed mark on him.]
