Inside the field
Zoro lifted his gaze and saw that someone was standing in front of him . The man had pale skin and smooth straightened out black hair that fell to his neck . Just from looking at him Zoro could tell that the man wasn't that strong but there was something about him . He exuded an air of grace and nobility. Zoro had never seen something like this .
"So I hear you're a bad guy , Roronoa Zoro . My name is Kagaya "The man said with soft and soothing voice . Zoro stared at kagaya still trying to figure out what it was about him that made him feel so comfortable.
"Why are you here , you should leave before they come back "Zoro said . Kagaya walked closer to Zoro .
"If I were you , I would have starved to death in the 3rd day " Kagaya said . Zoro scoffed .
"Thats because ive got more spirit than you can ever have , which is how im going to survive this ordeal , this is swear " Zoro said with conviction in his eyes . Kagaya looked at Zoro and smiled
"Then I'll come back to speak to you once you've survived and have been released, ive got a proposal for you ." Kagaya said as he turned to leave but was stopped by Zoro
"Wait , hold on , could you pick that up for me " Zoro said as he stared at the smashed up Rice balls on the ground .(-_-)
"Are you going to eat this ,because its mostly a ball of mud .." Kagaya said as he bent over to pick up whatever was left of the rice balls.
"SHUT UP AND JUST GIVE IT TO ME!!"Zoro said in annoyance and embarrassment. Kagaya stared at zoro for a moment and shortly fed him the ruined rice ball .
Zoro ate the rice ball and began coughing violently afterwards. Kagaya just looked at him with a smile that said 'I told you so'...
"It was good " Zoro said after all the coughing stopped . Kagaya stared a Zoro for a moment longer and smiled . He would get this man to join the demon slayer corps no matter what .
Sometime later in the restaurant.
"Really he said that !"Rika exclaimed in happiness.
"Thats right , he ate every last grain of rice " Kagaya said recounting the details of short meeting with Zoro .
"He really isnt as bad as people make him out to be , he reminds me of Sanemi "Amane said
"He and Zoro would probably be great friends "Kagaya said as he chuckled, now that he thought about ,it has been a while since he's last seen them and Sanemi has been doing great since he became a Hashira . Before he could ponder more on those thoughts, the doors of the restaurant opened and Helmeppo walked in along with the two men who were following him earlier.
Helmeppo kicked and broke everything that stood in his way , the other customers made way for him , clearly not wanting any trouble . He found a table and sat the while resting his feet on the table .
"Im hungry , bring us whatever you got and keep the check to yourself "Helmeppo said as he laughed
"And bring me a bottle of your finest moonshine "
The other customers in the restaurant moved away from Helmeppo changing their seats . Kagaya and the others looked to where Helmeppo was seated . Kagaya explained to Amane what he wanted to do .
Amane was concerned for him but trusted his judgment, she's always trusted his judgment.
Kagaya stood up and walked up to Helmeppo. Helmeppo looked at him in interest wondering what he could be doing .
"Hello there , My name is Kagaya may I have a minute of your time . "
"Speak , what the hell do you want "Helmeppo asked in annoyance .
"Its about your prisoner , Roronoa Zoro "
"What about him, in fact now that you mention him , I was thinking of executing hahaha , how cruel would it be to kill him just as he was about to be free " Helmeppo said in thought , and the more he thought about it the more he wanted to do it .
"I want to buy his freedom from you "Kagaya said with a smile as he looked at Helmeppo . Helmeppo recoiled in shock, he never expected to hear that
"Why would you want to set him free , he is a criminal who disobeyed my orders, he deserves to be executed " Helmeppo said in annoyance .
Kagaya bowed his head low and pleaded
"Please, whatever price you name i will pay ,I need that man " . This shocked the people in the restaurant, why would someone plead for someone like Zoro . Amane who saw this was conflicted, she wanted to rush forward and tell Kagaya to lift his and not bow ,if people knew who he really was they'd all stop him from doing this . She didn't because she trusted Kagaya.
Helmeppo looked at this man with intrigue and confusion , why did he want Zoro to be set free so badly . Whatever it was he was sure not gonna make it easy .
"You'll pay any amount you say hehe , 1 million yen and ill set him free "Helmeppo said with a devilish grin on his face . With a high price like that no one in their right mind would give away that much money . The other people in the restaurant also looked at Kagaya with pity thinking that there's no way he'd be able to pay that amount .
Kagaya with his head still bowed "Thank you for you're kindness, I'll get the money ready "
Helmeppo and the rest of the people looked at Kagaya in shock not being able to believe or comprehend that someone like him could have that kind of money , was he from some noble family or something they all asked themselves
