Chapter 13 - Chapter 13 Silent Spell Debut!

Chapter 13

Devero was so excited by this introduction that he wanted to start practicing right away. After all, this was a method to enhance his magical strength! In his previous battle with Snape, he clearly felt his limitations as a minor. Both his magical strength and reserves were noticeably inferior to those of an adult wizard, which left him feeling somewhat insecure.

At the supposedly safest school in all of Britain, one might have to face basilisks or battle dragons from time to time. Running out of magic mid-fight would be disastrous! But now, this meditation technique seemed like the perfect solution to his problem.

Devero immediately headed into the train, eager to find a quiet spot to test this ancient wisdom and see its effects. However, the train compartments were already crowded, with many filled to capacity. The noisy environment was far from suitable for the quiet needed for meditation. After checking every compartment and finding the same issue, Devero reluctantly decided to put the matter on hold for now. There was no rush, after all.

With that in mind, Devero decided to find a less crowded compartment to settle in for the long journey. As luck would have it, he spotted two red-haired boys struggling to help another boy with his luggage. It was none other than Harry Potter! The two helping him were, of course, the Weasley twins.

Seeing them struggle, Devero stepped forward. "Hey! Hold on a sec, this should make it easier." With that, he drew his wand and lightly tapped Harry's luggage. Instantly, the three boys lifting the heavy trunk felt it become several times lighter. Even Harry, the smallest of the trio, could now lift it with ease. Together, they quickly hoisted the trunk onto the luggage rack.

"Wow! Is that a Levitation Charm?" one of the twins exclaimed. "That's amazing! You must be a first-year, and you're already so skilled with spells!"

The Weasley twins stared at Devero with wide-eyed amazement, and other students nearby looked equally shocked. While the Levitation Charm was a relatively basic spell, many first-years couldn't perform it perfectly even by the end of term.

Wait… a spell? The twins exchanged a glance and shouted in unison, "You just used a silent spell!?"

Devero gave a modest smile. "Yeah, just a simple spell."

After a brief moment of speechlessness and animated gesturing, the twins rushed over. "Wow, Merlin's beard, if we could learn that, the possibilities would be endless!" one said excitedly.

"Yeah, yeah! Um… we haven't introduced ourselves. I'm Fred, this is George. If you're willing, could you teach us?" Fred leaned in close to Devero's ear, whispering conspiratorially, "It won't be for free. Once we get to school, we can share tons of secrets about Hogwarts. We haven't fully explored the towers yet, but we know pretty much everything about the Great Hall area!"

"Absolutely, you won't find anyone else at school who knows as much as we do!" George added, fist-bumping Fred.

Devero's eyes lit up as he grinned. "Sure, but you'll have to show me some of those secrets first, then I'll teach you." For Devero, silent spells were a piece of cake. Getting the mischievous Weasley twins to guide him through Hogwarts might even lead to treasures like the Marauder's Map in the future. Why not take the opportunity?

"Woo-hoo!" the twins cheered, raising their arms. They immediately huddled together, whispering excitedly as if already planning silent spell pranks.

Devero turned to Harry, who seemed a bit awkward and out of place. The talk of spells, silent casting, and Hogwarts secrets was clearly unfamiliar to him, making it hard for him to join in. Devero stepped forward and put an arm around Harry's shoulder. "Come on, Harry, let's find a seat."

Harry, who had been standing there dazed, nodded quickly. The train was about to depart, so they turned to head into the compartment they'd been using.

"Harry? Wait… you're *that* Harry?" Hearing Devero call his name, the twins' whispering stopped abruptly.

Harry, clearly used to this reaction by now, casually lifted his hair to reveal the lightning-shaped scar on his forehead. The twins gaped in awe. Devero, seeing the scar in person for the first time, found it more striking than in the movies from his past life. He felt an urge to touch it but held back out of respect for Harry's feelings.

Devero had always been curious about why the Killing Curse left a lightning-shaped scar. The original story didn't seem to explain it much.

After showing his scar, the twins let out excited shouts and bolted out of the compartment, likely eager to share the news with their family. Devero watched them go, then sat down with Harry in the compartment.

Devero had already added two purple traits from each of the twins to his "trait shopping cart" for later use at Hogwarts. Their traits were:

- Explorer (Purple)

- Prank Inventor (Purple)

As expected, these traits were impressive. Generally, a purple trait meant exceptional talent in that area. A blue trait indicated above-average potential, while a gold trait marked someone as a natural prodigy in their field. Red traits were reserved for those with extraordinary destiny, almost as if they were partially fused with the rules of their domain. For example, Devero's "Potion Spirit" trait was incredibly powerful. Though his theoretical knowledge was still limited, his potion-making skill might, in some ways, surpass even Snape's—though this was just a gut feeling he hadn't tested and wasn't quite daring enough to try.

That said, the Weasley twins were undeniably talented. No wonder they became leaders in the prank industry at such a young age.

"Devero, you know so many spells!" Harry said, sitting across from him, sounding a bit dejected. "I grew up in a Muggle family and barely know any magic. If there's a test when we start school, I'm done for."

Devero smiled at Harry's words, about to offer some encouragement, when there was a knock at the compartment door. A red-haired boy with freckles stood outside. "Excuse me, can I sit here? I'm Ron Weasley."
