No one had ever comforted him as gently and lovingly as Joon Hyunk did today. Yeo Jun's mind was still far from clear; he just wanted to hold onto that soft feeling he was getting from Joon Hyunk. So, he remained seated with his head resting on Joon Hyunk's shoulder, letting time pass slowly. The soothing touch of Joon Hyunk's hands was the only comfort he needed.
After a while, his breathing steadied, and the pounding in his head lessened. A heavy tiredness settled over him, and his eyes gradually closed as sleep took hold.
When Joon Hyunk noticed no movement from Yeo Jun, he gently lifted his head from his shoulder and saw that he was asleep. Quietly, he stood and carried Yeo Jun in his arms, carefully laying him back on his bed. He pulled the blanket over him snugly.
Watching him sleep, Joon Hyunk whispered softly,
"The person who tortured you like this . They will regret everything they've done. Anyone who hurt you like this..."
After placing Yeo Jun on the bed, Joon Hyunk sat down on the sofa in the corner of the room. He stayed there, silently watching over him, prepared to comfort him quickly if another panic attack struck again.
Late at night, around one o'clock, Yeo Jun shifted in his sleep and his eyes caught sight of Joon Hyunk sitting on the sofa. Joon Hyunk immediately stood up and approached him.
"What's wrong? Are you scared of the darkness again?" he asked softly. "You don't have to be afraid. No one will come here. I'm right here with you. No one will scare you."
Gently, he helped Yeo Jun lie back down properly, then returned to sit on the sofa again.
For the first time, Yeo Jun didn't feel disturbed by Joon Hyunk's presence. His nearness brought comfort and safety. As Yeo Jun looked at him quietly, a thought quietly crossed his heart: I wish Joon Hyunk would always stay by my side like this.
Joon Hyunk noticed Yeo Jun was not asleep but just staring at him. "Go to sleep. I'm right here," he said softly.
Yeo Jun couldn't see Joon Hyunk clearly in the darkness ,but he could deeply feel his presence.
"As long as I'm here, no bad future or past will come near you."
For some reason, Yeo Jun trusted these words. He closed his eyes and finally drifted off to sleep.
For the first time in four years, he slept peacefully without fear of any darkness or nightmares. He wasn't afraid of Joon Hyunk's presence; instead, it gave him comfort.
When morning came, Yeo Jun found himself alone in the room. He freshened up and walked out. His eyes fell on Joon Hyunk, but this time he didn't turn away. Instead, he came closer to the dining table where Joon Hyunk was sitting.
Joon Hyunk motioned to the chair beside him, and Yeo Jun quietly sat down. Watching Joon Hyunk with soft eyes, he started pouring juice into a glass and putting breakfast on his plate.
"Did you sleep well last night?" Joon Hyunk asked, having watched over him all night and knowing well that he had finally found some peace.
But Joon Hyunk wanted to break Yeo Jun's hesitation. He wanted Yeo Jun to be able to share what was in his heart easily with him.
At Joon Hyunk's question, Yeo Jun simply replied, "Hmmm, yes... th-thank you... for helping me..."
His eyes stayed fixed on his plate as he began eating breakfast.
Seeing joon hyunk sitting so close, yeo jun felt all his courage fading away in just a short while.
thinking in his mind, Yeo Jun, coming here was a big mistake. You shouldn't have come here.
Now he felt it was a mistake for him to be here. He wanted to finish eating quickly and leave.
Watching Yeo Jun rush his meal, Joon Hyunk spoke a little strictly, "Eat slowly."
Hearing the firm and deep tone of Joon Hyunk, Yeo Jun jumped in his seat, accidentally spilling juice on his clothes and knocking the glass to the floor, where it shattered.
Ji Ho came out hearing the sound of breaking glass and began picking up the pieces.
Yeo Jun wiped his clothes with a napkin and tried to leave, thinking this was a good chance to escape.
But when he saw the angry look in Joon Hyunk's eyes, he sat back down right there and this time started eating properly and calmly.
Until Yeo Jun finished his breakfast, Joon Hyunk remained seated there, watching him the entire time. Yeo Jun could feel Joon Hyunk's eyes fixed on him.
In his mind, Yeo Jun thought, Oh God, now that he's finished eating, why is he looking at me like that?
Suddenly, Joon Hyunk said, "Tonight, until I come back, you won't sleep."
At this, Yeo Jun made a cute face and asked softly, "Why? Because I need my two hours?"
Without beating around the bush, Joon Hyunk replied straightforwardly, reminding him, and then walked away.
Joon Hyunk was quite happy. After many attempts, he had finally succeeded in reaching one man—either the man was foolish or overconfident because He came under Joon Hyunk's control very easily.
Now he was his prisoner, and "Now Joon Hyunk was cutting off his third finger." while the man screamed in pain, "I don't know anything. Leave me alone."
No matter how much he pleaded, Joon Hyunk didn't care at all. At the address you gave, no one was there. Now hurry up and tell me—where are those people?
After cutting off his third finger, Joon Hyunk pushed him backward.
Suddenly, everything started coming out clearly from that man's mouth. Surely, they must have changed the location.
Joon Hyunk knew that every five months they changed their hideout, which was why he hadn't been able to reach that place until now. Perhaps the person in charge there had found out about his man's disappearance.
When Joon Hyunk grabbed his fourth finger, the man began crying and begging him.
The man wore a ring on that finger—a two-headed snake design, with red rubies shining where the eyes would be.
Joon Hyunk cut off the finger,
then pulled out the ring from the severed finger to examine it. He had seen a mark like this somewhere before but couldn't quite remember where.
The man didn't know much; he was useless, but he could definitely be a victim of Joon Hyunk's ferocity.
When Yeo Jun came back from the garden to the room, he found the mackbook on the bed.
He remembered that he had completely forgotten about it. Yeo Jun went straight to the mackbook turned it on, and tried to connect it to wifi properly.
Then he tried to contact the police, but the call dropped.
He tried several times to get Papa's number, but every time he received the same response.
Frustrated, he opened the police website—but it wouldn't load either, even though the wifi connection was perfectly fine.
Thinking further, he tried to open Instagram, but no social media site was loading.
Then he realized why Joon Hyunk had been so calm while giving him this.
