Chapter 77 - Chapter 77: Love at First Sight?

Chapter 77: Love at First Sight?

The kiss lasted a full three minutes.

Unlike last time when Barghest gave him mouth-to-mouth resuscitation, this time his mind was completely clear, able to savor every subtle emotion of Morgan's lips.

Her face flushed, breath quickened, shy as a maiden, yet boldly kissing him.

Eikou felt his head spinning, nearly kissed into a daze by her passion.

Only after a long while did they separate.

"How was it? Did it feel good?" she asked, her face still red.

"Eh, um, oh…"

Eikou felt his face burning frighteningly hot. After such a deep kiss, his tongue felt tied, so lightheaded he nearly forgot how to speak altogether.

"Hehe, looks like it felt so good you can't even speak, my husband."

Morgan said sweetly:

"Has Gawain gone to sleep yet?"

Without thinking much, Eikou replied, "He's asleep," and only afterward did he realize that might not have been the best answer.

"If he's already asleep, then stay in my room tonight."

She lifted Eikou's face and smiled gently at him:

"I'll let you experience even more pleasures. You can act spoiled with me however you like, and… sometimes I also want to act spoiled with you a little."

Eikou looked at her face and felt he was truly about to drown in it.

Perhaps because the children were asleep and there was no one to disturb them, Morgan now was more alluring and genuine than ever before. She was like both a maiden in love and a gentle wife. No one would doubt she was a queen, yet she still retained that soft, fragile side that made one want to protect her.

"But… I still have the exam tomorrow morning…"

"It's fine. I'll leave you enough stamina for the exam—I won't drain you dry," Morgan said softly.

What was that supposed to mean—other than the stamina needed for the exam, she'd take the rest, right?

But… even so… it didn't sound so bad?

Even though his reason told him that once he stepped in, there would be no turning back—that he would be giving up the Baobhan Sith route and her Noble Phantasm—But..... the bewitching world of adults seemed even more tempting.

Just then, suddenly, the door to one of the rooms opened.

"!"

Morgan was the first to hear the sound, and she immediately pulled away from Eikou.

The two quickly straightened their slightly messy clothes, pretending nothing had happened, then picked up their glasses of water.

"Hu~a…"

They saw Melusine yawning, her sleepy face emerging from the bedroom, her small bare feet softly stepping on the polished wooden floor.

"Your Majesty, Sir Eikou, why are you two still in the living room so late?"

She looked curiously at the two slightly flustered people in the living room.

"Thirsty…" Eikou explained.

"Just chatting about life. (marriage)," Morgan added.

"I see…" Melusine yawned again. "I'm a bit hungry. Can I get some late-night snacks from your fridge?"

"Melusine… it's so late. Eating at night isn't good for your health."

"It's fine, Your Majesty. I'm a dragon—human common sense doesn't apply to me."

Melusine spoke as if it were obvious.

"That's true. One can't use common sense to judge your existence."

Morgan glanced at Melusine, then gave Eikou a casual sidelong look.

That glance seemed to hold regret that someone had interrupted—clearly, tonight they wouldn't be able to continue.

"I'll head back to bed. Rest early, Sir Eikou, and do your best on the exam tomorrow."

Morgan adjusted her nightgown and stood:

"If you're hungry, you can also have some late-night snacks. There's frozen food and snacks in the house. There's just one absolute rule you must follow—clean up afterward so we don't attract cockroaches or other disgusting insects. That's a non-negotiable rule in this house!"

"Seems you really hate insects," Eikou murmured.

"Yes," she nodded, then added, "Good night."

While Melusine wasn't looking, Morgan quickly planted a strong kiss on his neck.

Then, smiling, she walked lightly back to her bedroom.

Only Eikou and Melusine remained in the living room.

"..."

Eikou touched the spot Morgan had just kissed, then glanced at Melusine, who was now in the kitchen.

The little dragon girl was crouched in front of the freezer, taking out five ice creams, all apparently for herself.

She wore a thin white nightgown, revealing her fair, slender, beautiful legs, just squatting there in front of the fridge without the slightest guard.

He couldn't help but sigh—who eats ice cream in the middle of the night? But then he thought, so what? A dragon's stomach wouldn't get upset from eating ice cream at midnight anyway.

Moreover, at this moment, there was an even bigger issue…

Morgan had just left, only for an even more formidable "opponent" to appear.

After tonight's "Guinevere" experience, Eikou knew that this seemingly gentle and quiet dragon girl was far more dangerous than she appeared. Her moves were fiercer than Morgan's, yet there was no way to anticipate them.

"Seems this is the first time we've been alone together, Sir Eikou."

Melusine spoke calmly.

"…That's right."

Eikou nodded:

"Melusine-san, could you explain a bit? About tonight—your behavior was really unusual."

"Unusual? Hmm, if you're curious about me, then I'll tell you everything."

Melusine closed the fridge, raised an ice cream to her mouth, and, with a mix of seriousness and muffled speech, said:

"As a member of a mighty dragon race, of course my appetite is huge. Eating five ice creams at once in the middle of the night is normal. As for why ice cream, that's just my personal preference…"

"Who's asking you about that! Though, yeah, that is pretty unusual!"

"Eh? So you weren't asking about my diet? Then what are you talking about?"

The silver-haired dragon girl tilted her head, her golden eyes filled with confusion.

Being stared at by that pure gaze, Eikou almost began to wonder if the problem was with him.

"Girl… did you already forget what you did tonight…? Of course I mean the date. We clearly just met for the first time, yet you teased me under the table, clung to me in the game, and then took the chance to ask me out. I want to know why."

Eikou asked:

"I don't want to sound conceited… but did you fall in love with me at first sight?"
