Unknown's POV
The pool reeked of chlorine, a tinge of sweat and... something that made me cringe my nose.
Some people had done the do shortly before we came here.
And from the smell of it, they were both Lycans.
Pitiful.
At their core they were also just beasts.
And which beast wasn't sworn to cater to their reproductive urges?
I stood at the edge, staring at my reflection rippling in the water. I was furious deep down, but my cold, unfeeling expression did a marvelous job at masking it.
Two others stood opposite me, boys I had trusted. Foolishly trusted to carry out their duties well.
Nicklaus. Scott.
Their heads were bowed, but I could feel the tension bleeding off them in waves. Fear, guilt, defiance, they stank of it, and it made my fangs ache.
The defiance came from the human wannabe Nicklaus, and I immediately knew he was the one that messed up the plan.
