Chapter 9 - escape

Liam sat in the police car, his eyes fixed on the rearview mirror as the policemen watched him with a mixture of suspicion and curiosity. His expression remained cold and detached, his emotions locked away like a prisoner in a cell. He knew he had to escape, or risk being taken to prison. While prison might not be the worst places, since he can sleep and get stronger and under the protection of guards ,with the promise of food and shelter but Liam couldn't shake off the feeling of being constrained. He didn't like being trapped, and he knew he had to act.

He asked the system for guidance, and it responded with a simple message: "Check your storage space." Liam's gaze didn't waver, his eyes still fixed on the rearview mirror as he opened his system and navigated to the storage section. His consciousness was transported to a plain white space, where he saw a white, transparent ball about the size of a baby's fist. The system identified it as the mana core of the rabbit he had killed in his sleep.

Liam's expression didn't change, his emotions still locked away as he decided to take the risk and eat the mana core. As his consciousness touched the ball, it appeared in his hand. Liam pretended to yawn, and then shoved the ball into his mouth. He felt a surge of mana enter his core, rapidly restoring his energy. His eyes didn't flicker, his gaze still fixed on the rearview mirror as he struggled to contain the power.

After what felt like an eternity, Liam's mana was restored, and his stats had increased from 50 to 70. His expression remained cold, his emotions still locked away as he gazed at the policemen. He knew he had to escape, and he decided to use his telekinesis to take out the gangsters who were following him and the police car.

The police car suddenly stopped, and the gangsters behind them were confused, wondering why the car had halted.

" why did the car stop, did they figure out we were following them , boys it seems we might have to fight" ,the leader said as he stared at the car with a mixture of curiosity and hostility on his face. Liam's gaze flicked to them, his eyes narrowing slightly as he activated his telekinesis.

The police car exploded, sending pieces flying everywhere. The gangsters were caught off guard, their eyes wide with shock and fear. Liam stood in the midst of the explosion, unscathed and surrounded by a barrier that protected him from the blast. His expression remained cold, his emotions still locked away as he gazed at the gangsters.

" oh, it seems I have guests why don't I send you of " Liam said with killing intent

The gangsters stumbled back, their eyes fixed on Liam in fear." you think you can scare us with this "the apparent leader took a step forward as his face was like piece of paper, his hand reaching for his gun. Liam's gaze flicked to him, his eyes narrowing slightly as he activated his dash ability.

Liam moved with incredible speed, his body a blur as he closed the distance between himself and the gangsters. The leader tried to react, but Liam was too fast. He appeared in front of the leader, his fist flying towards the gangster's face. The leader tried to block the punch, but Liam's telekinesis was too strong. The leader's arms were pushed aside, and Liam's fist connected with his face.

The leader's face crumpled, his body flying backward as Liam's punch sent him crashing to the ground. The other gangsters tried to react, but Liam was relentless. He moved with incredible speed, his dash ability allowing him to close the distance between himself and the gangsters in an instant.

Liam's telekinesis was a powerful ally, allowing him to lift the gangsters off the ground and slam them into the pavement. The gangsters tried to fight back, but Liam's movements were too fast, his punches and kicks landing with precision and deadly force.

One by one, the gangsters fell, their bodies battered and bruised as Liam's dash ability allowed him to move around them with ease. The last gangster tried to run, but Liam was too fast. He appeared behind the gangster, his arm wrapping around his neck. The gangster's eyes widened in fear as Liam's telekinesis crushed his windpipe, ending his life.

Liam stood tall, his chest heaving slightly as he gazed at the bodies around him. His expression remained cold, his emotions still locked away as he surveyed the carnage. He had escaped, and he had taken out his enemies. For now, he was safe. But he knew that this was just the beginning, and that he would have to continue to fight to survive.

Liam's gaze flicked to the police car, the wreckage still smoldering from the explosion. He knew he had to get out of there, and fast. He turned and walked away, his dash ability allowing him to move quickly and easily through the crowded streets. He disappeared into the crowd, his cold expression a mask that hid his true emotions.
