Their faces were covered with worry as their eyes darted around the room, and as they landed on the prince, the three of them bowed before him, saying, "Greetings to Your Highness."
"You can stand," Prince Daemar said, gesturing to them.
Then, Seraphina looked at Lior and sighed as she came forward to him. She said, "Thank you, Your Highness, for taking care of our brother. We are sorry that he's been a burden to you. You shouldn't worry about him again, we'll take him from here back to our estate."
"Oh… this isn't any burden to me," Prince Daemar said, and that made Isolde's brows knit as she looked at him. Daemar continued as he looked at the three sisters—the one beside Lior, who was still trying to understand the prince's intentions, and the other two standing watch. "I'm okay with worrying about your brother and attending to his needs. I want to court him."
"What?!" the three sisters exclaimed at the same time.
It seemed like Lior's reaction to the prince's proposal wasn't as strong as his sisters'.
Inside the Ravenhart manor, the three sisters and James, who is now bearing the name Lior, could be seen seated in their grand sitting room. Seraphina was pacing about the room, Isolde was sighing repeatedly while looking at Lior, and Elowen was busy biting her nails. And Lior… was totally confused.
Confused about how he was supposed to react. He was finally realizing that he was in a new world, with a new body, name, title, and everything, and things were going to happen to him, and he needed to decide if he wanted them to. James might be confused by many other things, but he was very damn sure that he didn't want to live like Lior. He didn't want to be meek, be a boy toy, or especially what the prince was proposing.
Seraphina, who had been pacing about, suddenly stopped and looked at her sibling. She raised her right hand and scratched her head with it. Then her lips moved, "I…" but they stopped again.
But then, she turned to Lior, and he sighed as he in turn looked at her intently. She said, "Lior, what do you think about what the prince said?"
"I think it's shitty," Lior said without wasting a breath.
"Huh?" That managed to surprise Elowen, as she suddenly stopped biting her nails and turned to him.
"You also think so and even spoke up about that?" she said, staring at Lior.
Lior sighed, then stood up. He crossed his arms as he said, analyzing it all, "If not because he's a prince, isn't he supposed to be arrested for almost killing me? And then, as if that wasn't enough, now he says he wants to tear my butthole? No, that can't work."
"Ermm… language," Seraphina coughed as she said.
Isolde, on the other hand, stood up and said, "Lior is very right. We couldn't do anything and still had to thank him after he almost killed our brother just because he's the Arcane Prince and dangerous. Even if he had died, we wouldn't have been able to do anything just because our family has declined. And now, he suddenly wants to court our brother? Isn't that alarming? Why?"
"This also really bothers me. Out of everything that we've been discussing, what worries me most is the fact that he wants to do this. Why? Does this mean he likes our brother and thus wants to—?" Elowen said.
"Hmmm… I don't think the prince has even met our brother before that incident, so how come love enters this situation?" Isolde said, her hand gracing her chin as she pondered.
"Okay. All of your insights and thoughts are very well made. Now, what we need to think of and decide on is what we want to do now," Seraphina said as she looked at them all.
As she asked that, Lior suddenly said with a smack of his lips, taking a seat, "That is very easy, isn't it? I don't want to be his consort, so it's solved."
"Oh… Lior," Seraphina said, coming closer to him. She flicked his head as she stood before him, and Lior looked at her in shock as she continued, "You are still so small. Do you think it's so easy to decline a prince's proposal? It's like going against the empire. It's impossible."
"Wait… you mean that I have no choice but to give him my butthole to tear?" Lior said, a chuckle leaving his mouth.
"Shit! When did you suddenly become my favorite brother? You mix your words so well, brother," Isolde, the non-conforming sister, said.
"Isolde, shut it. And you, Lior, did you suddenly learn some words and terms when coming back from the dead? You should speak right and avoid bad language. Anyways, that's that. Now, you just need to tread carefully. You should ask His Highness why he wants to court you and see how it goes."
"No!" Lior suddenly said, standing up from his seat. "I'm not interested in knowing why he said so. As a matter of fact, I'm going to pretend as though I didn't hear him say it. Now, let's see how he manages to wife me up when I didn't even know that was happening."
And he left the room straight away.
Seraphina watched as he left, his figure retreating into the room, and she sighed. Elowen, on the other hand, mumbled, "Is that truly our brother?"
"I think it's pretty much Lior. He has just woken up from his soft and collected side after he almost died and won't accept shit again," Isolde said, dropping onto the couch.
"Anyways, let's talk about business. I think Lior accepting the prince's proposal is very good. It'll elevate our family name and enable us to build it back. Our business, which is in decline, will be boosted, and Lior will definitely have a better life," Isolde said.
"So, to you, you want us to transact our brother to the prince just to recover our family glory? Tell me, how exactly are we recovering our glory that way?" Seraphina asked, her brows knitted as she looked at her stupid middle sister.
"That's true, Isolde. You shouldn't be cold at this moment. No matter how good of a deal the prince wanting to court our brother looks, we shouldn't be tempted by the advantages. Rather, we should worry if our brother wants him and if he doesn't, we should try our best to make sure he doesn't fall into the prince's hands," Elowen's soft voice sounded as she berated Isolde.
"Alright. But I know that we aren't enough to fight the prince. If he really wants him, he'll get him. Now, let's just go back to business since we're done solving that. And then again, who will go tell Lior that he's going back to school soon?" Isolde scratched her hair as she said.
"I'll go," Elowen uttered, dropping from the chair.
