Ninja Academy.
Special Medical Training Class.
"Today, everyone will continue practicing the Healing Jutsu. If you have any questions or run into any problems, feel free to come to me at any time."
As a D-rank medical ninjutsu, the Healing Jutsu was far more difficult than the three basic E-rank techniques taught at the Ninja Academy.
Even for this group of students who had passed rigorous tests, it was impossible to master it quickly.
According to Aoshi's estimation, it would already be quite good if everyone could master it within a month.
Furthermore, they still had the C-rank Blood Coagulation(Hemostasis) Technique to learn.
The best outcome would be for all twenty-three members of the Special Medical Training Class to become qualified medical ninjas by the end of the semester.
After finishing his arrangements, Aoshi left the students to continue practicing with the fish they had prepared beforehand.
Then, leaving a Shadow Clone behind, he took Kurenai and the other two to a nearby classroom.
"Today, I will teach you your second medical ninjutsu—the C-rank Blood Coagulation Technique." As he spoke, Aoshi began his demonstration.
He took out a fish with a bleeding wound, performed the Blood Coagulation Technique, and quickly stopped the bleeding.
"Once you master the Blood Coagulation Technique, you will be considered qualified medical ninjas."
Hearing this, Rin and Shizune were both extremely excited. Unlike Kurenai, they had wanted to become medical ninjas from the very beginning.
Now that their dream was so close to being realized, it was impossible for them to remain calm.
"Alright, you can start practicing. Remember to stay calm, or you may fail," Aoshi reminded them.
For medical ninjas, if they could not maintain composure, problems would easily arise when performing medical ninjutsu.
"We understand," the three replied together.
Then they began their practice. It had to be said—C-rank medical ninjutsu was far more difficult than D-rank medical ninjutsu.
Even the three who had mastered the Healing Jutsu in less than one class period were unable to learn the Blood Coagulation Technique by the end of this session.
This left them feeling slightly disappointed.
"Don't rush. Your progress is already much faster than everyone else's. Take your time," Aoshi comforted them.
"Besides, this is a C-rank medical ninjutsu. The difficulty is several times higher than the D-rank Healing Jutsu, so being a little slow is completely normal."
He was telling the truth.
When Aoshi first learned the Healing Jutsu, he had mastered it proficiently after reading the jutsu scroll just once.
His skill level was in no way inferior to that of experienced medical ninjas.
However, when learning the Blood Coagulation Technique, although he could still use it after reading the scroll once, his proficiency was not nearly as high as it had been with the Healing Jutsu.
He had needed to practice two or three times before reaching the same level of mastery.
One had to know—Aoshi possessed top-tier talent in medical ninjutsu, yet he still required repeated practice to achieve full proficiency.
This alone showed how difficult the Blood Coagulation Technique truly was.
Aoshi's reassurance eased the hearts of the three.
At the same time, they quietly suppressed the unconscious arrogance that had begun to sprout within them.
Another week passed.
During this session of the Special Medical Training Class, Kurenai and the other two finally succeeded in mastering the Blood Coagulation Technique proficiently.
"Congratulations. According to the regulations of Konoha Hospital, the three of you can now be considered qualified medical ninjas."
In other words, Kurenai and the other two were now able to graduate from the Special Medical Training Class.
After all, higher-level medical ninjutsu was not within the scope of this special training program.
"The three of you can truly be called geniuses!"
After all, the other twenty students were still practicing the Healing Jutsu. They had not even begun learning the Blood Coagulation Technique yet.
Hearing this, all three broke into bright, joyful smiles. Several years of hard work had finally paid off.
"Does that mean we can graduate and become real medical ninjas?" Rin and Shizune asked eagerly.
However, Aoshi shook his head.
"Although you are technically considered medical ninjas according to the regulations, you still lack real clinical experience."
"Therefore, you still need to undergo a period of internship. Only after passing that will you be officially promoted."
This was the same principle as graduating from the Ninja Academy—students still had to be approved by their squad leader before being considered true Genin.
"So now, you have a choice to make."
"Will you graduate early and join the Intern Medical Ninja Squad, or will you continue at the Ninja Academy through the normal process and graduate as a regular ninja?"
Without any hesitation, Rin and Shizune both chose to graduate early and join the Intern Medical Ninja Squad.
Only Kurenai hesitated. In the beginning, she had joined the Special Medical Training Class purely out of interest.
Unlike Rin and Shizune, she had never aimed to become a medical ninja from the start.
Her ability to reach this point was largely because the regular Ninja Academy curriculum was not very demanding for her.
She could learn and master it with ease. Normally, she was expected to follow in her father's footsteps and become a Genjutsu ninja.
Unlike Aoshi, Kurenai truly possessed decent talent in both Genjutsu and Medical Ninjutsu.
However, she could only specialize in one of them. She could not pursue both paths at the same time.
Aoshi noticed her hesitation. "Kurenai, you can go home and discuss this with your father first. You don't need to give me an answer right now."
Kurenai nodded in agreement. After school, when she returned home, she immediately sought out her father, Shinku.
"Dad, I have something I need to talk to you about."
Seeing Kurenai's serious expression, Shinku also became serious. "What is it?"
Kurenai then explained everything in detail and asked for his opinion. "Dad, do you think I should join the Intern Medical Ninja Squad?"
After listening to her, Shinku's expression turned complicated.
He naturally hoped that Kurenai would inherit his Genjutsu and become an outstanding Genjutsu ninja.
However, the fact that she hesitated so much already revealed the real issue.
Kurenai still harbored the desire to become a medical ninja.
"Kurenai, this opportunity is rare. You can join the Intern Medical Ninja Squad." In the end, Shinku gave his recommendation.
Only someone of his level truly understood the vast gap between ordinary Genjutsu users and those with bloodline-limit Genjutsu, like the Uchiha.
It was a realization filled with despair. In contrast, medical ninjutsu did not have such an overwhelming disparity.
Moreover, compared to becoming a combat ninja, the safety of a medical ninja was far higher.
Under normal circumstances, medical ninjas stayed in the rear. Even if war broke out, they would remain with the support troops.
They would not need to rush to the front lines and face the enemy directly.
As a father, Shinku naturally hoped his daughter could grow up safely.
With her father's support, Kurenai quickly made her decision.
"Thank you, Dad. I know what to choose now. I choose to join the Intern Medical Ninja Squad and become a medical ninja in the future."
"If you ever get injured again, Dad, I can treat you myself!"
The next day, Kurenai found Aoshi and told him her decision.
As a result, she also graduated early and joined the Intern Medical Ninja Squad alongside Rin and Shizune.
Under Aoshi's guidance, the three of them went to Konoha Hospital to begin their internship.
"The work during your internship will be simple," Aoshi explained. "Whenever I perform a medical procedure or surgery, you will assist me at my side."
"Gradually, under my guidance, you'll be able to carry out some minor procedures on your own."
"Once you are officially promoted, you'll be able to perform surgeries independently."
This was the standard training procedure at Konoha Hospital.
