Chapter 377 - [TP] 376: Ogerpon Enters the Livestream Room

"All right, all right, Little Black, you can head out now."

"Lord Damien already used up a lot of energy summoning us."

Testarossa had been waiting for this private moment with Damien and had no intention of letting Diablo ruin it. She promptly shoved him out the door.

Click.

Door open, door shut—one smooth motion.

Now the hotel room held only Damien and Testarossa.

"Everyone's still watching, you know."

Damien meant the livestream back in the Demon Lord's castle, of course.

At this point, though, the show on his end definitely needed to end.

With a wave of his hand from his main body, the image vanished.

"Aww…"

Luminas sounded genuinely disappointed. "It was just getting to the good part—why cut it off?"

"Behave," Damien shot her a look.

As for the avatars and projections in the hotel, the pair didn't do anything improper.

Anything that might happen would be between their real bodies, not these temporary puppets.

So Testarossa simply used her projection to give Damien's human body a relaxing massage.

Of course, later tonight Damien would probably call the girl to his bed.

That interaction left poor Diablo suffering outside the door.

He set up a barrier to keep people away so no one would disturb Damien's rest, then wandered off alone to explore the ancient Greek capital with its long history.

He also needed to prepare for the next Heretic God descent.

Meanwhile, the Demon Lord meeting broke up once Damien left.

The members waiting for the second wave stopped paying attention to the feed and went back to their own tasks.

Shuna, Shion, and the others drifted over to Hinata instead.

Since Damien wouldn't let them watch, they'd watch through Hinata.

It was the perfect chance to experience a modern city in another world through her eyes.

The last time they had descended to the Nasuverse world it had still been the 1990s—nowhere near as advanced as modern times.

"Hm?"

Hinata opened her eyes and felt the pressure of all the girls crowding around her. "Why is everyone suddenly over here?"

"Just so we're clear," she said, taking Luminas's hand and staking her claim, "the first one I'm summoning is Lady Luminas."

"Yes, yes, of course," Shuna covered her mouth and laughed. "We won't fight you for her."

Hinata would definitely summon Luminas first.

But once they had a Heretic God on their side, the next summonings would go much more smoothly.

Unlike Damien, Hinata couldn't pull off a "loan" style descent with just a bit of blood.

Her first step in Japan was to find a shrine maiden with enough talent to complete the ritual.

"So this is Japan?" Luminas's virtual form floated beside Hinata like a ghost.

The others couldn't see her.

This was just Damien using the Void God authority to create an ultra-immersive livestream.

If Ogerpon or anyone else wanted to watch, they could appear near Hinata too.

"Wow~"

"It really is different from Fuyuki City."

Shion popped up out of nowhere, standing right in the middle of the road and staring up at the skyscrapers while cars drove straight through her.

"Boing! Boing!!"

Ogerpon was staring longingly at a crêpe stand, eyes sparkling with desire.

"Boing!"

The next second she reached out and grabbed a freshly made crêpe.

No one knew exactly what she did, but the livestream image—which should have been intangible—somehow let her snatch the treat she wanted.

"Eh?"

Hinata stared in disbelief. "How did she do that?"

Right now Ogerpon was happily holding the crêpe with both hands and munching away.

Even more amusingly, the one the shopkeeper had just handed to a customer was still right there.

"That's Lord Damien's power," Shuna explained to Hinata and Luminas. "Creating something from nothing is the most basic ability of the Void God."

If Ogerpon wanted something from the Campione world, she could simply take it.

As long as it wasn't a living being, the Void God blessing Damien had given her could perfectly replicate it one-to-one.

"It can do that?!"

Hinata couldn't wrap her head around the principle.

Shuna made it sound easy, but Ogerpon and the crêpe were separated by two entire worlds.

"Never mind…"

Hinata gave up trying to understand and simply chalked it up to Damien's greatness.

She closed her eyes and poured all her focus into the Campione world, ignoring what was happening on the main-body side.

The others didn't disturb her; they simply watched the immersive shared feed with rapt attention.

"What a fascinating world."

Unlike Shuna and Shion, this was Luminas's first time in a modern city.

Everything here felt brand-new and exciting to her—the towering skyscrapers, the lightly dressed men and women, the four-wheeled boxes that moved on their own.

"By the way, where should we start looking for a talented shrine maiden?"

Luminas turned her attention back to Hinata.

"Hmm…"

Hinata thought for a moment. "I don't know this world very well."

"Lord Damien did share some information about the Campione world's fate lines with me."

The fate lines were basically the plot outline.

The problem was that Damien had only watched the Campione anime; he didn't know the light novels or the deeper setting in much detail.

As a result, the information Hinata had was incomplete, making it hard to form a solid plan from so little.

Luckily, her main body still possessed the terrifying calculating power of a mathematician.

"When you mention shrine maidens, the first thing that comes to mind is a shrine."

But the mystery side of the Campione world was hidden from ordinary people, just like in most supernatural stories.

In other words, there weren't many extraordinary beings here, and finding them wouldn't be easy.

"Won't that tip our hand?" Shuna offered.

"Plus, Lord Damien mentioned there are tens of thousands of shrines in Japan. We have no way of knowing which ones have the most authentic shrine maidens."

If they had to search that way, it could take forever to gather everything needed for the descent.
