Chapter 282 - [TP] 282: A Treat for Konosuba Adventurers

"If push comes to shove, I'll just relocate this entire otherworld."

Damien's experiment wasn't merely about establishing a passage between two worlds.

This success hinted at another of his hypotheses.

Namely, using the power of God of the Void to reverse-migrate other worlds to the Cardinal World.

There were many methods.

Like in the Konosubaverse, creating a two-way passage.

Or directly seizing an entire continent and placing it near the Cardinal World.

He could even use a grand summoning technique to make a city appear in some corner of the continent.

"Hm."

Velzard supported Damien unconditionally.

Even if it meant waging war against this world's gods, she wouldn't care.

"Alright, let's plan the Dungeon."

Damien and Violet entered the sealed cave.

Before that, Damien set up a cognitive interference barrier at the entrance to prevent adventurers from stumbling into the area before the Dungeon was complete.

"First, the map design."

"Keep the V-shaped Dungeon structure, with a dungeon mode spanning from Floor 1 to Floor 10, then back to Floor 1."

Damien's sealed cave wasn't just for Konosuba adventurers... it was also a recreational space for the monster kingdom's citizens.

"Just ten floors?"

Violet noted, "Tempest Dungeon had 99 floors."

"One step at a time."

This Dungeon was merely an experiment for Damien.

Besides, with the strength of Konosuba adventurers, a 99-floor Dungeon would take them ages to conquer.

With Violet's assistance, Damien quickly reshaped the sealed cave's internal structure.

One floor after another, descending deeper.

Moreover, Damien used his spacetime authority to isolate the environment and rules of each floor.

"Floor 1: Abandoned Mineshaft. Floor 2: Shadowy Forest. Floor 3: Barren Plains. Floor 4: Underground Sewers. Floor 5: Ruined Castle. Floor 6: Undead Graveyard. Floor 7: Crystal Caverns. Floor 8: Lava Lake. Floor 9: Wyvern Altar. And the final Floor 10: Grand Hall."

Rather than a single Dungeon…

It was more like ten distinct Dungeons forcibly stitched together.

To that end, Damien prepared a corresponding boss for each floor.

"For monsters and bosses, this should do for now."

In total, Damien designed nearly 500 types of magical beasts, drawing inspiration from games he'd played.

"Next, how to balance their strength."

Map planning and monster placement were straightforward. The real challenge was numerical balance.

For a good game, numbers were critical.

"What do you think, Violet?"

"A bit tricky."

Violet said, "The strongest in the Konosuba world, converted to the Cardinal World's monster ranks, are about B-rank."

In other words, under fair conditions…

A single B-rank monster in the Konosuba world could sweep everything.

While the Dungeon incorporated Konosuba's laws, its framework leaned more toward the Cardinal World.

"I see…"

"Then the strongest magical beast in the Dungeon can't exceed 6,000 magicules."

Damien shook his head. "No, 6,000 is still too much."

Forget Axel... even across the entire Konosuba world, no adventurer could match a B-rank monster.

Perhaps Princess Iris could manage it.

But a kingdom princess wasn't likely to personally venture into a dungeon.

"Let's use a 100-level scale."

Damien decided, "Each level corresponds to 30 magicules."

The strongest magical beast boss would be equivalent to a 3,000-magicule C-rank.

With the adventurers' strength, defeating such a foe would be impossible.

"But…"

"With the treasures and equipment I'll prepare, it's not out of the question."

Damien created a plethora of treasures, materials, and items, placing them in various forms throughout the Dungeon.

Adventurers could find rare items in treasure chests.

They could also collect drops from defeated monsters.

Or even mine the Dungeon itself.

For instance, the Abandoned Mineshaft on Floor 1 genuinely contained ores.

The ores and gems adventurers excavated weren't illusions but tangible resources.

Because these were sourced from Damien's Void World.

The adventurers' actions were akin to mining the inexhaustible resources of the Void World, at least from Damien's perspective.

For the current Damien…

Creating a planet on a whim provided enough resources to sustain adventurers for millions of years.

"That should about do it."

After a morning and afternoon of work, Damien completed the Dungeon's preliminary design.

Satisfied with his creation, he nodded.

"Next, I'll wait for Rimuru to return and have her test it."

With that thought, Damien left the sealed cave and returned to the villa.

Just then, Darkness awoke from her slumber.

"You're up?"

"Lord Damien!"

Opening her eyes, Darkness saw Damien sitting by the bed.

She tried to rise but was reminded of last night's events by the soreness in her body.

Blushing, the girl instinctively pulled the blanket over her eyes.

"Come on, why so shy now?"

"You weren't like this last night."

Damien chuckled, comforting the newly initiated girl. "Don't worry, I'll take responsibility."

"Mm."

Hearing Damien's assurance, Darkness peeked out, gazing with watery eyes at the man who'd claimed her first time.

Given her personality, Damien was destined to be her one and only.

The loyal knight resolved to stay true forever.

"There are some things it's time you knew."

Damien helped Darkness sit up, gently feeding her some food before continuing, "You've always been curious about my identity and origins, haven't you?"

Having claimed her, Damien had no intention of letting Darkness down.

"Mm."

Darkness nodded. "Lord Damien and Ogerpon don't seem to be from any place I know."
