Chapter 49 - [TP] 49: Successful Stowaway

"I understand."

Shion nodded obediently, looking at the yak. "Should I wake it?"

"Go ahead."

Soul-searching could harm the creature.

"Yes!"

Shion focused her aura, condensing it into a pinpoint and directing it at the yak.

"Moo!!!"

The sudden jolt instantly roused the unconscious yak.

It scrambled to its feet, ready to flee, but froze upon seeing Shion, Damien, and the others, looking utterly terrified.

"Hm?"

"Not a beast, but an intelligent creature capable of communication?"

Damien tried to communicate with the yak, but the results were lackluster. "It has intelligence, but not much."

The yak wasn't an uncommunicative monster but a normal creature with a mind.

This was fundamentally different from the monsters in the Jura Forest.

Those beasts, driven by instinct, lacked sentience.

Born from Magicule corruption, not nature, they could be wiped out, only to respawn later.

[Rule Analysis Complete]

[Planeswalker (Exceptional) has adjusted to this world]

[Connection established, individual 'Damien' performance balanced]

[Individuals 'Shuna,' 'Shion,' 'Ogerpon' adjustment initiated…]

[Adjustment complete, performance balance achieved]

"Finally done."

"Huh?"

"Lord Damien, why did my strength drop so much?"

"Me too."

The three girls noticed the change.

"No worries, it's the world's rules limiting us."

Damien explained Planeswalker and performance balance to Shuna and Shion.

Ogerpon, not new to traveling, remained calm. "As long as you don't use power beyond your performance limit, you'll be fine."

"What happens if we do?"

Shion felt uneasy. "My power isn't sealed; I can still use it."

"Don't!"

Ogerpon warned quickly. "Use too much, Shion, and you'll be forcibly ejected."

"Ejected?"

"Sent back to the Cardinal World."

Ogerpon, experienced, explained patiently. "We're linked. If you're kicked out, we all are, and returning to this world will be nearly impossible."

"Eh?"

"Really?"

Shion grew cautious, even softening her voice.

"Haha, it's not that extreme."

Damien added, "Ogerpon's right, but this time, we four aren't bound together."

"Even if one gets sent back, it won't affect the others."

"Is that so?"

Ogerpon looked puzzled, not grasping the difference.

"Let me explain."

Damien patted Ogerpon's head. "My Planeswalker ability opens doors to different worlds."

"Once open, we travel, and the Voice of the World assigns us identities."

"There are three types of travel."

Damien had opened three world gates so far.

In the Pokémonverse, he'd received a similar prompt: [The supreme will of this universe has acquiesced].

From his knowledge of Pokémon, this likely referred to Arceus, the Creation God... Sinnoh's Great Revered.

The Pokémonverse had countless parallel universes, and Damien had entered one.

With Arceus's scope, as long as Damien wasn't out to destroy the world and acted as a regular trainer, it wouldn't care.

"That sounds dangerous!"

Supreme wills and creation gods were beyond Shion and Shuna's understanding, but they sounded formidable and untouchable.

"Don't worry, the Voice of the World isn't foolish."

If a world was too dangerous, the Voice would fail negotiations, unable to open the gate.

It would first secure an agreement with the world's supreme will, ensuring Damien's safety and freedom before connecting the worlds.

"That's why Ogerpon and I couldn't bring you to the Pokémonverse."

The first type was managed worlds, where Damien couldn't bring extra beings beyond Ogerpon, a native.

He entered the Pokémonverse physically.

Only he and Ogerpon, a local, could go.

So, except for the first trip, Damien preferred Konosuba for supplies.

Having Arceus watching was too intimidating.

"The second type is like Aqua's, integrating within the world's rules."

Damien said, "For example, I became a reincarnator under Aqua's charge, seen as part of the world's rules... legitimate."

"That's why Ogerpon said if she messed up, I'd be expelled too."

"In the second type, only I'm truly recognized by the world, while Ogerpon arrives as my summoned beast."

If Ogerpon broke the rules, as part of Damien's power, they'd both be ejected.

"But this world is different!"

Damien added, "This world has no supreme will!"

"It has rules, but they're managed by something like a program, not a powerful god."

"So, not just me... you three now have independent identities."

Their subordinate bond remained, but they'd gained three IDs, allowing free movement like Damien.

"The only thing to note is your power is balanced."

Balance meant performance.

In the Cardinal World, an A-rank Majin could split rivers, shatter earth, or strike with nuclear force.

Here, the three were reduced to roughly that level.
