Chapter 6 - The Whole Truth

Lea yawns and stretches as she stands up. She didn't wake up until around noon. She would have kept sleeping if it wasn't for her hunger waking her up. She quietly checks Harry's room and sees him still sleeping. She ponders on whether she should wake him up or not. Lea wants to let Harry sleep, but she doesn't know what they are going to do for food.

Lea decides to look around first before waking him up. 'Maybe there is a garden out there', she thinks. Lea tries to find the kitchen in order to see what she has to work with. She just realized that all the appliances are probably magical. Hopefully she can turn it on just by poring magic into it.

Lea passes by what seems to be the dining room. The weird thing is that there is a plate of waffles on the table. 'Did Harry wake up, make waffles, then go back to sleep? That was nice of him,' Lea assumes. Lea sits down and starts eating. They were the best waffles she has ever had. They taste even better since she hasn't had any good food since her previous world.

Some quiet footsteps emerge from the direction of the bedrooms. Lea sees Harry and immediately thanks him for making the waffles. She tells him how much she likes them. However, Harry just gives a confused look. "I didn't make these," He says. Suddenly, another plate of waffles appear next to Lea.

"Ah! That startled me so bad." Lea says.

"Sorry miss," a nicely dressed house elf says as she pops in, startling both Lea and Harry this time.

Harry, being more used to house elves popping out of no wear, recovered quicker. "What's your name and why are you here?" He asks kindly.

"My name is Dipsey." The house elf starts talking with pride, "Dipsey has been in the Potter family for generations, or was," as Dipsey droops. "Dipsey is a free elf and has survived without a master by absorbing magic that is part of this house. The house stands on a leyline you see. Dipsey has been living here her whole life. Dipsey is lucky she didn't get kicked out by bad master since he never came here." Dipsey perks up and speaks towards Harry, "You will be new Lord Potter soon, yes? Maybe Dipsey can have a master again if is kind Heir Potter unlike his father."

"You knew my father?" Harry asks. Lea had gotten over being startled as soon an Dipsey started speaking. She looked at her waffles and decided to keep eating while listening.

"Oh yes. Bad master kicked Dipsey out of the family," She says with some tears, "He made me a free elf, not caring that I have been the Potter's house elf since before he was born. Dipsey did not even know he had an heir before you appeared young heir."

Harry stands stunned. His mind is fighting with the idea that the elf wants to have a master. He and Hermione have talked extensively about how house elves need to be freed from slavery. He even tricked Lucius Malfoy into freeing Dobby who was happy to be a free elf.

Lea hears Harry's stomach grumble and guides him while he is still in his head towards the food. She makes him sit down and gestures towards the food. The food seems to wake him up and relax his wavering thoughts.

Lea talks towards Dipsey, "While I don't know what he will decide about becoming your master, I do know we would have to wait until after our next trip to Gringotts. You see, someone did something bad to Harry's magic, but we will fix it later today. Even then we might have to wait to make sure there are no complications before doing anything magical. I don't want to risk anything."

"Yes miss, Dipsey is patient. Dipsey does not want young heir to be hurt," the house elf relents.

"We still have time before the appointment," Harry tells Lea, "Are you okay with telling me what you promised now?"

"Yes, let's finish eating first though. What should we do about Dipsey? I'd rather she not know my secrets." Lea looks at Dipsey, "Sorry Dipsey, but we just met and I wasn't going to tell anyone. I am only telling Harry because I trust him and I think it would be safer to do so."

"Dipsey understands. What should Dipsey do though? Should Dipsey just close her ears until you tell Dipsey you are done?"

Harry takes out a pouch, "How about you go shopping for us," Harry then tells Lea, "Ragnok handed me this when he gave me the portkeys, though I was too tired to process it at the time. It contains the allowance from my trust vault. It has enough to cover my essentials for the past four years so it has added up a little." Harry turns to Dipsey, "About how much do you think you need to get us the essentials, including multiple sets of clothes?"

While Harry and Dipsey have a conversation about expenses, Lea thinks that Harry is too trusting. He is trusting a being with that much money after just meeting them. However, Lea realizes that once Harry accepts his Lordships, that amount of money won't really matter. So, Lea doesn't say anything and lets Harry do what he wants since it is his money.

After Harry gives Dipsey the agreed amount, and Lea and Harry finishes breakfast, Dipsey gives a curtsy as the dirty dishes and her poofs away. Harry and Lea go to the living room with a huge couch to get comfy before Lea starts talking. "Everything I told you was at least what I believed to be true until I heard your name called out on the first day of class. Seeing you made me realize I didn't just time travel, but I came from another world. There were some other possibilities, but my inheritance test proved it. Wait one moment," Lea goes to her room and grabs the parchment then shows it to Harry.

Harry gapes at the implications of Lea's inheritance test. "Here, look," Lea says as she points to her titles, specifically at the words 'Other Worlder.'

"This is besides the point but I think I may not be human anymore but considered a magical creature instead," Lea says with some thought, "I watched Ragnok with my magic sight when he was scrolling on your inheritance test. How he moved his magic into his finger looks exactly how I have been practicing my magic. Since Ragnok is a magic creature and the inheritance test tells us that Mother Nature made my body, not through human reproduction, I think I made a safe assumption."

Harry accepts this theory pretty easily. To him it doesn't make a difference if his friend is human or not. "Wait," Harry says, "Back to what you were saying before, how did hearing my name let you know you were in another world?"

Lea sighs, "This is the part I didn't want to tell anyone. In my world there is a book and movie series called 'Harry Potter.'"

Harry takes a moment to make sure he was understanding Lea correctly. "So, my life was fictional to you in your other world?" Harry asks.

"Yes," Lea says. She can tell the implications hasn't really settled in for Harry.

"What's my favorite color," Harry suddenly questions.

Lea sputters, "Uh, I don't know. I don't think they said. But if I were to guess it would be red and/or gold because you liked being in Gryffindor."

"Well, you guessed right. My favorite color is red. Also, I never told you about the houses and their colors so I believe you know more than I thought. After you are done talking we should compare notes to make sure we are on the same page. There could be some differences."

"Good idea," Lea replies, "From the story you gave before it seems like you lived the same life as the main story, but there were even differences between the book and the movie even if I don't remember all of them. Anyways, I think we should talk about it after Gringotts since I think what I am about to say will have us arguing until the appointment."

"Sure. Carry on," says Harry.

Lea takes a moment to get her thoughts back in order. Then she says, "I didn't read the books, but I watched the movies. The main thing I did was read fanfiction of the 'Harry Potter' fa-... world." Lea was originally going to say fandom but she didn't want even more terms to explain. "Fanfiction are stories made by any random person where they use elements, meaning characters and background, from the story 'Harry Potter' in their own story."

"Okay," Harry says sceptically, "The idea of fanfiction is cool an all, but how does that have to do with what we will argue about?"

Lea says, "Well, these fanfictions told many stories of how your life could have went. The movies are mainly from your perspective. Meaning we trusted and distrusted who you trust and distrust. The fanfictions made me realize that it was possible for the characters to be the opposite of how they were portrayed. Where I am going with this is that I have a suspect after seeing all the blocks and compulsions. But, they are someone you trust. I just want to make sure you will hear me out and not just ignore what I say."

"Someone I trust," Harry starts to think. He seems to have some theories gives Lea the go ahead.

Lea sighs, "My main suspect is Dumbledore."

Harry gives a pained look. He looks like he doesn't want to believe it but he understands it makes sense. "Dumbledore is the most powerful. To add so many blocks and compulsions, one would have to be powerful. Though it could have been a group of people."

Lea says, "It might still be even if it is Dumbledore. Anyways Dumbledore has the most to gain from controlling you. He at least suspected your scar was a Horcrux since the beginning, yes?"

"Yes but how does that have to do with anything?" Harry asks.

"That means he knew since the beginning that you would have to die in order to get rid of the Horcrux," Lea concludes.

Harry gives a sharp breath. "Are you saying he molded me to be willing to walk towards my death?"

Lea says, "That is one possibility, the one I am most cautious of at least. We don't know what happened to you in between when you got the scar and when you were sent to the Dursley's. The only ones who knew you lived there was Dumbledore, Minerva McGonagall, and Hagrid. The second most likely perpetrator is Vol- Tom Riddle himself. Maybe he can attach it through the horcrux. Though he did not seem to know you were a horcrux, especially since he killed you instead of keeping you alive."

Harry decided not to think too deply into it for now, "I'll be careful of Dumbledore, but I don't know what I believe yet. Anyways, Why did you call him Riddle?"

"Oh!" Lea exclaims, excited to be talking about theories, partially forgetting it is real now," There was a theory as why they called him 'He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named.' It is possible that anyone who says his name activates some kind of spell that tells him where you are. Honestly, the main story didn't cover how the last war was like much besides the ending. That is something we should look into some time."

Harry shivers, remembering all the times he boldly stated his name. "Are there other theories like that?" Harry asks curiously.

"Yeah but it seems it is time for our appointment. Dipsey!" Lea calls out.

Dipsey pops out of nowhere saying, "Yes miss?"

"We are done with our talks and will be heading to Gringotts in a moment. I just wanted to let you know you could come back whenever you wish," Lea tells the house elf.

"Thank you miss!" Dipsey says as she vanishes again.

Harry and Lea grab onto the Gringotts portkey as the appointment times arrives. They both disappear from the Potter house.
