Chapter 68 - Chapter 68: Super Saiyan God Trunks Vs. Super Saiyan God Son Goten

The two young warriors, now transformed into Super Saiyans, stared each other down with burning determination in their eyes. A moment later, they both launched forward, fists flying with astonishing speed.

In an instant, their arms collided mid-air, and a shockwave spread out from the center of the impact.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

A flurry of punches followed as Trunks and Son Goten exchanged blows at blinding speeds. Neither of them held back. The clash intensified as their movements became faster and fiercer, fists and feet flying in all directions.

Before long, Goten had pushed Trunks toward the edge of the ring, throwing a rapid barrage of punches. He aimed to end the fight with one solid strike that would knock Trunks clean out of bounds.

But just as his fist landed—it struck only air.

"An afterimage?" Goten gasped.

Behind him, the real Trunks smirked. He had used his speed to leave an afterimage behind.

"Got you!"

With a swift spinning kick, Trunks launched Goten across the arena.

The host raised his microphone, shouting to the crowd, "Contestant Trunks has knocked Contestant Son Goten out of the ring! It looks like Trunks is going to take the win!"

But just before Goten touched the ground, he twisted in mid-air and activated his Flight Technique, soaring back into the ring with practiced ease.

"I didn't expect Contestant Son Goten to be able to fly! The match continues!" the host announced excitedly, his voice cracking with enthusiasm.

Goten landed with a bounce and pointed at his opponent.

"Trunks, that was a dirty trick!"

Trunks only grinned in response. "You're just mad I'm smarter than you."

Fired up, Goten vanished from view, reappearing instantly in front of Trunks and slamming a punch into his face. Trunks winced but didn't falter. Instead, he countered with a heavy blow to Goten's abdomen.

Neither of them backed down.

Bang!

Goten struck with a powerful kick, launching Trunks into the air. But Trunks recovered quickly, his mouth curling into a smirk as he retaliated with a heavy punch that sent Goten plummeting downward.

BOOM!

Goten crashed into the arena floor, creating a massive crater and kicking up a storm of dust and debris.

Gasps erupted from the audience.

"Is this really a junior match?"

"Someone call a doctor! That kid's not okay!"

As the dust began to settle, a golden glow suddenly surged from the crater. Goten shot into the sky like a rocket, fists already swinging.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

The two boys resumed their airborne clash, trading blows with ferocious intensity. They moved so fast that the crowd could only hear the thunderous cracks of their collisions, unable to see them at all.

A punch to Trunks' gut bent him into a curled-up shape as he was hurled backward. Steadying himself mid-air, Trunks grinned at his best friend.

"Goten, you're amazing!"

Goten responded with a beaming smile. "I train every single day!"

The energy between them surged again as they rocketed toward each other, fists drawn back.

BOOM!

Their fists collided, causing them both to be thrown back, blood trickling from the corners of their mouths.

Yet even through the pain, both of them smiled.

They descended from the sky and landed gently on the ring, ready for the next round.

In the stands, Videl could hardly believe her eyes.

"Gohan, how are your brother and Trunks this strong? They're just kids!"

Gohan smiled with pride. "They work harder than anyone else I know. Especially with Rayden training them."

Videl frowned. "That's ridiculous. I train every day too, and I'm the strongest at our martial arts school. How can they be this much stronger than me?"

"Uh… well…" Gohan stammered, unsure how to explain that being a half-Saiyan came with perks.

Suddenly, the audience erupted into wild applause, snapping Gohan and Videl out of their conversation.

"That was incredible!"

"Unbelievable! I've never seen a match like this!"

"This is what the World Martial Arts Tournament is all about!"

The host stepped forward again, his voice shaking with excitement.

"Contestants Trunks and Son Goten, your performance has been nothing short of amazing!"

"But the match continues!"

Back in the ring, Trunks raised a hand toward Goten.

"Let's do it, Goten. No more holding back. Let's use our strongest forms. We'll settle this once and for all."

Goten nodded with determination. "Yeah. Let's go all out!"

"Raaahhh!!"

The two screamed as their golden auras exploded around them. The arena trembled under the sheer pressure of their power.

In the stands, Rayden raised both hands and began channeling energy.

He formed a giant energy barrier, shielding the entire audience.

The golden auras surrounding Trunks and Goten shifted, turning deep crimson red, and their energy signatures vanished entirely.

A bright flash of light erupted from the arena.

Then—silence.

The two boys now stood transformed as Super Saiyan Gods.

---

"What… is this?" gasped Supreme Kai Shin, his eyes wide in disbelief.

Beside him, Jebit was equally stunned.

"Supreme Kai! That's divine energy… But how? Those kids—they're mortals!"

"I don't understand it either," Supreme Kai murmured. "But this power… it's real. They've reached the level of gods."

Rayden smirked in the distance and contacted the boys telepathically.

> "Trunks, Goten, don't worry about the audience. I've placed a shield around the arena. Fight without hesitation."

> "Thanks, Uncle Rayden!"

Trunks darted high above Goten and formed a massive energy blast, hurling it down with a roar.

Goten responded with a shout, jumping upward and kicking the energy sphere into the sky, where it detonated in a burst of color.

From the audience, Gohan observed with narrowed eyes.

"Uncle Rayden, why are they using energy blasts so early?"

Rayden shrugged. "They both want to prove who's stronger. They're not playing around anymore."

As the two children rained energy blasts at one another, the air shimmered with heat and light. The blasts whizzed across the ring, ricocheting like pinballs.

Some of the energy headed straight for the audience.

"Ahh!"

People screamed and ducked—only for the energy to hit Rayden's invisible barrier and explode harmlessly.

Realizing they were safe, the audience let out a collective sigh of relief… and then leaned forward, eager for more.

Back in the sky, Trunks struck first, launching Goten upward and charging his energy between his hands.

"He's going for a finisher," Rayden noted.

Goten steadied himself and lowered his stance, forming a familiar pose.

"Ka… me… ha… me…"

Above, Trunks shouted: "AFTERBURNER!"

The two techniques blasted forward, streaking across the sky and colliding in the center of the ring.

BOOOOOOOM!!

The resulting explosion shook the entire arena, and a giant cloud of smoke engulfed the ring.

Silence fell.

As the smoke cleared, Trunks and Goten were both on the ground—battered, bruised, and barely conscious.

The host ran onto the stage.

"Ladies and gentlemen, after a grueling and explosive match, both contestants are down! Whoever stands first will be crowned the Junior Division Champion!"

He raised his hand.

"I'll begin the countdown now—10… 9… 6… 2…"

Suddenly—both boys rose at the same time, trembling with effort.

Then—thud!

They both collapsed again.

The host sighed in awe.

"Incredible! Since both fighters stood up at the same time, and then fell again, we have our final result…"

"Trunks and Son Goten are officially tied for the Junior Championship!"

The crowd exploded into cheers, roaring in approval for the two pint-sized warriors who had just delivered the most exciting match of the tournament so far.

---

With a soft whoosh, Rayden appeared on the stage using Instant Transmission. He reached into his storage ring and retrieved two Senzu Beans, giving one to each boy.

Trunks blinked and chewed slowly. "Uncle Rayden… who won?"

Rayden smiled warmly.

"This time, it's a draw. You both gave it everything you had."

Goten sat up and grinned. "Trunks, I'm going to win next time!"

Trunks laughed. "You wish! I'll be training twice as hard!"

With a wave, Rayden carried the two back to the stands, placing them beside their families.

"Goten, Trunks… you were amazing," said Yamcha, giving them a big thumbs up. "You've already surpassed what we could do at your age."

"Uncle Yamcha, you should come train with us!" Goten beamed.

Yamcha chuckled and scratched his head. "Haha, I think I'll pass. Your kind of training isn't made for old bones like mine."

---

The crowd was still buzzing with excitement, and the energy in the arena was electric.

If this was only the Junior Division… what would the Adult Division bring?
