Chapter 67 - Chapter 67: Junior Competition

At the far end of the bustling crowd, two very strange-looking figures stood in silence, speaking to each other in hushed tones.

One was a short man with slicked-back white hair, sharp purple skin, and an unsettling smirk. The other was tall and muscular, with red skin, a severe expression, and wild white hair. Both wore matching robes and sported unusual earrings.

"Supreme Kai, we've confirmed it. Those two have indeed entered this tournament," the red-skinned man whispered. "With their level of strength, they'll stand out easily in a tournament like this. Once they draw attention…"

These two mysterious individuals were none other than Supreme Kai Shin and his loyal attendant, Jebit. In their quest to stop the evil magician Babidi from resurrecting the terrible Majin Buu, they had tracked his presence to Earth.

Supreme Kai Shin smirked faintly. "Jebit, you already know the rules of this tournament, don't you? Go and make the necessary arrangements."

Jebit bowed slightly, a knowing smile on his face.

"Understood, Supreme Kai. I'll ensure you receive a bye and move directly to the finals."

As he turned, Jebit paused, his brows furrowing.

"Wait a moment… Supreme Kai, that childlike human over there is also using some sort of psychic ability to influence the lottery."

He pointed discreetly at Chiaotzu, who was hovering nearby.

"It's them again," Supreme Kai Shin muttered, his eyes locking onto Rayden, Son Goku, and their companions.

A strange smile played across his lips.

Jebit was stunned. "You… know them?"

"Yes," Supreme Kai Shin nodded. "That's Rayden and Son Goku. I've heard of them through King Kai. He says their strength is considerable… perhaps even beyond mortal standards."

Jebit scoffed, visibly annoyed.

"Hmph. Humans? No matter how powerful they are, they could never compare to your divine might."

Supreme Kai Shin gave him a patient look.

"Jebit, just give me the bye. Don't worry about them. In fact… we may need their help when the time comes."

"Yes, sir," Jebit replied reluctantly, still unconvinced.

Meanwhile, all the participants had completed the drawing of lots and were assigned into groups for the preliminaries.

Yamcha looked at his lottery label and smiled broadly.

"Chiaotzu, your powers are seriously useful!"

Chiaotzu scratched his head in embarrassment. "I was actually aiming for Tien Shinhan to get number 401… but it seems someone else used powers to block it."

Tien patted his little friend's head. "It's fine. As long as we avoid facing Rayden or the others in the prelims, we'll be okay."

Just then, the host returned to the stage with microphone in hand and made an exciting announcement.

"Ladies and gentlemen! The draw is now complete. Congratulations to Contestant 'Shin' for drawing the lucky number 401! As such, Contestant Shin will proceed directly to the finals!"

The crowd buzzed in uproar. Many participants voiced their displeasure.

"Are you kidding me? That guy gets to skip all the fights?"

"How unfair! What if he's not even strong? Letting him into the finals just like that is ridiculous!"

---

In the corner, Jebit clenched his fists in anger.

"Master Supreme Kai, shall I go put those insolent humans in their place?"

"Jebit," Supreme Kai Shin said firmly, placing a hand on his shoulder. "Remember why we're here. Drawing attention now would only alert Babidi's spies. Be patient."

Jebit gritted his teeth and nodded.

"Yes, Supreme Kai."

In the crowd, Rayden calmly observed Supreme Kai Shin, a knowing smile tugging at the corner of his mouth. He could sense that these two weren't ordinary participants.

Just then, the host made another announcement.

"Alright, now that the draw is done, it's time to officially kick off the World's No. 1 Martial Arts Tournament!"

Cheers erupted from the audience.

"But first," the host continued, pointing dramatically, "we begin with the Junior Division—for fighters under the age of 15!"

Everyone turned their attention to the two large signs beside the stage, where giant numbers were displayed.

"The winner of the Junior Division will receive a prize of 10 million Zeni!"

"And the runner-up will take home 5 million Zeni!"

Excitement filled the venue as the host continued.

"Will all 42 registered children please come forward to the arena!"

He added, "As you may know, the Junior Division does not have preliminaries. Every match is direct elimination."

"The rules are simple: surrender, ring-out, unconsciousness, or failing to rise after ten seconds will result in disqualification!"

"Now, without further ado, let's begin!"

---

"First Match: Eight-year-old Imma versus Eight-year-old Trunks!"

Goku raised an eyebrow. "Huh. Trunks is up first?"

Vegeta scoffed. "This is going to be over in seconds. That kid Imma won't even last a breath."

As expected, the match was decided almost instantly. The moment the bell rang, Trunks simply waved his hand, and his opponent flew backward, landing outside the ring with a thud.

The audience stared in stunned silence. No one understood what had just happened.

Even the host was baffled. He ran up to the ring, microphone in hand.

"Uh… young man, what exactly happened just now?"

Trunks scratched his head innocently. "I just waved at him. Didn't you see?"

The host was speechless. "Uh… okay then. Well, that's a win for Trunks!"

---

"Second Match: Ten-year-old Kong Long versus Seven-year-old Son Goten!"

Son Goten's opponent was a hefty sumo-style kid, who rushed forward with both hands out, aiming to push Goten out of the ring.

Goten stood completely still. No matter how hard Kong Long tried, he couldn't move him even an inch.

"Boring…" Goten yawned. Then, with a casual flick of his palm, he sent Kong Long flying straight off the stage.

The host raised his microphone again.

"Impressive! As expected from the son of Son Goku—what incredible strength!"

---

As time passed, more and more children were eliminated.

Finally, the host spoke again.

"Dear audience, we've reached the final round of the Junior Division!"

"It's 8-year-old Trunks versus 7-year-old Son Goten!"

Cheers erupted from the stands.

The host added, "It's worth noting that these two young contestants easily defeated every single opponent in their path. This should be a thrilling battle!"

In the crowd, Rayden chuckled softly.

"I wonder which of them will take the title?"

Vegeta smirked. "Kakarot, there's no need to wonder. My son Trunks is obviously going to win."

Goku laughed. "Don't be so sure, Vegeta. Goten trains with me and Gohan every day. I think this will be a close one."

In the stands, Chi-Chi and Bulma were waving flags and shouting encouragement.

"Goten! Win the prize money!"

"Trunks, don't lose! Make your dad proud!"

---

The two boys stepped into the ring.

Trunks yawned again. "Goten, those earlier matches were too easy. You better go all out, okay?"

"No problem!" Goten replied brightly.

"Haaaa!"

Both boys growled and powered up simultaneously. Golden auras flared to life, and their black hair shifted into glowing Super Saiyan forms.

The entire audience gasped.

"What's going on?! Their hair changed color!"

"Are these kids aliens or something?!"

"Golden Warriors… just like the one who defeated Cell!"

Shock and excitement rippled through the crowd.

---

Up in the stands, the fighters watched with pride.

"I can't believe how strong they've gotten," Gohan muttered.

Rayden smiled. "They're pushing each other to new limits. This match will be fun to watch."

Even the Supreme Kai glanced over in interest. "So these are the next generation of Saiyans… Fascinating."

The stage was set, and the final match of the Junior Division was about to explode with power beyond imagination.
