"Can I see her?" Marcus asked after the doctor was done with his questioning. "Nope" replied the doctor speedily. "She's still being treated.I'II let you know when you can see her."
"Okay doc" Marcus was afraid but didn't show it.He wanted to be in there and watch her though it is highly unlikely that she could try to escape given the severity of her allergy and the hospital was quite secure too.Now that his mind was a little relaxed,he started thinking that she may have eaten those cookies on purpose.Because why on earth would she eat it otherwise?she must be fully aware of her allergy.Know what to eat and what not to.
With the others inconspicuously watching she cannot escape even if she tries.The thought calmed him down a bit.He sat on the lobby chair and patiently waiting for when the nurses would be done.
By now,Sylvia had regained a bit of her consciousness and realized she was in a hospital.She was deeply grateful to know that she was alive.For a minute,she thought she was going to die,A virgin with so many movies on her brain watchlist and a bucket list reaching up to the sky of which she hadn't done half a inch of.
A nurse came in holding a kidney dish with two syringes in it.Taking one,she emptied the liquid contents into the IV fluid bag hung on a dripstand and connected to her vein with a needle.
Her head got clear so fast because she immediately got a crazy thought.And the nurse had a surprise look on her face as she stared at her.The nurse thought that the patient on the bed could not be who she was thinking but the resemblance was unbelievably similar, could be her look alike.But she did ask anyways. "Are you Sylvia Mannox.....? You indeed are her aren't you?" Sylvia slowly nodded.Surprised that she was recognized by the nurse.
According to her calculations,she wasn't that popular even though she actually was.The reason for her belief was that people remember those supermodels who walk on runways and open fashion shows.And she is a lingerie model.Known well by fellow industry mates and not too well by the public.
The nurse squealed excitedly,the typical reaction of a someone who accidentally met their favorite celebrity. "Am a fan! a huge one actually,I follow you on social media.Wanna see my page.It is filled with photos of you! I love how you stepped into the modeling world and showed that it isn't limited to tall-glasses-of-champagnes and shorties like us could own it as well." She spoke with so much enthusiasm,that kept Sylvia hooked for a while before she knew it was time to act else the nurse could keep going on and on.
"Can you help me please?" Sylvia asked in a terrified voice to sound extra convincing.
"Yeah sure.With what?" Answered the nurse. "To get out of here" Sylvia said in a low tone.
It didn't take long before she was out of the ward dressed in pink shirt and pants.The nurse's uniform.Tricia gave her a small key to unlock a cabinet where her clothes were because she had been changed into a hospital gown. Tricia had explained to her the directions.She just needed to follow it.
It sounded so simple but once she was out,She was confused where to go and how to blend in like a nurse until she gets out of there.
She snapped out of her confused state and began walking down the emergency ward as Tricia had explained.She had found an opportunity inside the most unexpected situation.She heard familiar footsteps,it was strange how the sound of it alone made her a little scared.When her gaze landed on the owner of those footsteps.She felt her blood freeze for an instant but quickly hid inside a ward and luckily it was empty.The patient staying in the ward must have gone out for a walk.She peeped at him through a small part of the door that she didn't close fully.
There stood the mighty Kai Caddero with a few of his men behind him.There was a frown etched on his handsome face that made him more dashing dare her say.The black suit that was tailored perfectly to his body with a few buttons on his upper body undone.His tall and amazing physique crowned the assemble making him simply unmatched and made him a cynosure there at the midst of people in the hospital.Apart from looks,the man carried himself with such elegance and aura that told people he wasn't an ordinary man that could be toyed with.He wielded power and dominance in a simple thing as walking.
Sylvia had no doubt he stood out Wherever he went.She believed in the saying "Demons aren't just in hell.They were in earth also" this man is just too handsome and sexy to be a mere human.Surely she was losing her mind.
He seemed to sense someone staring at him because he then looks directly at the door that she was hiding behind.Sylvia backed away from the door looking around for a spot to hide just in case he decides to open the door and come look,He is that crazy.Damn! Why does the door not have a lock?
Minutes passed,he didn't push open the door to come look like she half-expected he she neared the door again and took a peek.Luckily he wasn't there.He and his men were nowhere in sight.Stepping out of the ward,she walked fast towards the elevator and was about to ride but decided against it.The man was here.There is a high chance of her not running into him again but she didn't want to test it out.
Sylvia found her way to the cafeteria and saw an elderly woman named Shelly,she was the main dietitian and nutritionist.The one that would most likely be at the cafeteria according to Tricia.
"Hey Tricia, what would you li--" the old lady instantly that the woman in the uniform wasn't Tricia.
"Privately tell her that I couldn't get to where my clothes are and I had to come out in her uniform" Sylvia quickly said and ran out of the cafeteria ignoring the old lady's call out for her to explain more. "She's done it again!" Shelly said, hitting her foot against the floor in exasperation.This isn't the first time her goddaughter has helped patients escape from the hospital.Making the excuse of being knocked unconscious by the patient. "You wouldn't be the death of me Tricia" Shelly muttered and went back to her business while waiting for the dynamite to blow.
"Boss!" Marcus acknowledged upon seeing Kai.He thought Kai was somewhere a bit far from the hospital,how come he made it in such a short time?
The bodyguard who had driven the car looked visibly unsettled like he was having motion sickness.Kai had ordered him to get out of the driver's seat when he couldn't drive as fast as the latter wanted.Kai took the wheel and drove like crazy.The car sped so fast at the speed of light that it kinda felt they were flying.Even professional car racers couldn't be as fast.He wondered how they made it alive and in one piece to the city hospital. "Where is she?" Kai asked in a low cold voice and Marcus pointed forward from where they stood. "In there" Kai went on to enter the ward.He pushed the matter of how she found and ate something containing peanuts.He would get to that later,for now,he just needed to see her.His guts were telling him something that he could debunk only by seeing her.
He walked towards the figure laying down on the hospital bed and found out his gut was right like always.The woman on the bed wasn't Sylvia.She had escaped! He could feel his anger rising in his chest.He walked back to the lobby and stood in front of the guy he had told to keep an eye on Sylvia.Kai had asked him because he knew the guy was gay and there was a low chance he would get interested in Sylvia.He had been careful with people he placed around her because she was an attraction magnet.She could work her charms on his men like she has done on him. "I told you to watch her.... did I not?" Kai growled out.
