Two girls barely dressed in tiny bikinis flanked him on both sides of the sun lounger rubbing their hands over his body sensually.His dad was a dirty old man in all aspects."What is the meaning of the text you sent?" Kai growled at the old man. "Chill son, spend a little time with your old man before we go into that." Ben spoke nonchalantly enjoying the fact that he had something or someone rather,to make his stubborn son oblige to his wishes.
"Chill.....? Come on,we both know that kind of relationship do not exist between us.Now start talking." Kai was holding back like he always does.Even though he wanted to tie up the old man and abandon him in a remote island where he can never find ways to trouble his life.
Ben sent away the two ladies and now focused on his son. "That is no way to talk to someone who raised your kid now is it?" Ben tilted his head sideways, studying each and every reaction from Kai.
Kai scoffed, "My prayers worked.You are finally going senile!"
"You wouldn't have come here if you thought I was lying.You know it might be true since she looks just like you and has the eyes of....." Ben trailed off dramatically as he looked upward pretending to try recall
"Hmmm.... what was her name again.....? Oh! Carrie." That name was more than familiar to Kai.It was a name that took him long to forget.Hearing her name now brought back everything that he thought he has forgotten.Including how his father came between them and made sure they got painful memories are never forgotten.
A few minutes passed with Kai being wordless, much to Ben's disappointment.Kai wasn't giving forth the typical reaction he had pictured in mind.
Ben signalled one of his men who was standing afar off to give him and his son privacy and whispered something to him.
'maybe if he sees her.Emotions would kick in' Ben thought.Minutes later,the guy came with the same little girl he saw in the photo.
"Grandpa!" She yelled in excitement and rushed to hug Ben. "My little princess," Ben gushed carrying the little girl in his arms.And standing up. "Are you not going to say hi son?" Ben threw the question at Kai whose gaze was fixated on the little girl in father's arms.Air was knocked out from his lungs as he studied her appearance.
All kinds of wierd feelings can be used to describe how felt at that moment.He wants to know the explanation behind her and at the same time,did not want to.
"Brielle,say hello to your dad" the little girl looked back and forth between Ben and Kai. "Dad?You mean my dad?" Her tiny voice questioned disbelievely.
"Yes.He is your dad.Remember I told you many times before that I'II bring your daddy to you.Well,there he is" Ben was playing host bridge between the two.
"Hi" the little girl waved her small hand at Kai. "What is the meaning of this?"
"Meaning of what?" Ben said. "Her!" Kai pointed at the kid.He knew all too well what his father is like.He would never bring in a strange blood and declare her as his grand child.
Although they were both young at the time,He and Carrie went all the way in their relationship.She got pregnant for him while they were together and she had told him that she lost the pregnancy.She broke up with him not long after and he never heard from her again.His dad had threatened to pull the plug on her sick mom if she didn't leave him.
Kai never had it in mind to continue with the relationship for long though he sincerely cared for her.What they had could be seen as love.They both enjoyed being with each other and he kinda considered her his first love.He had sent her a huge amount of money as a parting fee and his "Amazing dad" paid her off too.
Getting introduced to a child that carried both of their features out of the blue,was more unsettling than pleasant.
The kid was taken away by the same guard that brought her.The playful visage that Ben put up with the little girl was now gone and replaced with a mischievous glint.
"The wedding between you and Stephanie must hold with no issues" Ben warned in a serious tone.
