Chapter 44: Everyone's Actions

All Might had been in a conversation with the principal when he had a bad feeling. He hurriedly cut the conversation short and rushed here. On the way, he ran into young Iida, who quickly filled him in on the situation...

All Might was filled with regret. He walked in with heavy steps, furious with himself. To think that his students had been so terrified, his junior colleagues had been fighting so hard, and he had been completely unaware of everything that was happening just a short distance away!

"It's fine now! Why, you ask..." All Might pushed aside his regret. He only wanted to atone for his mistake. He looked up and at the students beside him, their eyes filled with excitement and joy, and at the students who had been scattered throughout the facility, and laughed heartily, "BECAUSE I AM HERE!"

Uraraka, her voice thick with tears, said to All Might, "All Might, Aizawa-sensei...!"

"Ah, I know..." All Might looked at Aizawa, who was lying in the center of the plaza, and suppressed his rage. "I will make them pay."

Just as All Might was about to unleash his power and rescue everyone in one fell swoop, he saw Shigaraki's actions. Seeing his arrival, he didn't stop, but instead swung his hand with even more force.

Although All Might didn't know what his Quirk was, he knew that if he let that hand connect, something terrible would happen. However, he needed a moment for the fuel in his body to spread, to start up this powerful vessel...

I won't make it in time...!

Just as All Might watched helplessly as Shigaraki's hand was about to touch Asui's head, blaming himself—a beam of light, a golden light, appeared, expanding into a dazzling brilliance!

Katsuki Bakugo watched this scene in shock. He had started heading over, cursing, the moment he received Kira's message, but the enemies were a bit troublesome, and the Ruins Zone was far from the central plaza. He and Kirishima had only just arrived.

In his mind, Aizawa's rescue was his mission. As long as he was there, no other enemy would be a match for him, especially after he had defeated the enemies in the Ruins Zone. Before this, he had never been in a real life-or-death battle. After feeling his own strength against the enemies, he was filled with confidence.

If someone needs saving—then the hero is none other than the great Bakugo!

However, he was late.

It was only a few hundred meters, a distance he could see with his own eyes, but he could only stand on a rock adjacent to the one that had been shattered by Nomu and watch. He watched as Midoriya was attacked by Nomu, and Asui was attacked by Shigaraki.

And then, that light, bright enough to illuminate the entire USJ, erupted from Kira's weak body...

"That light... is so blinding..."

Katsuki Bakugo raised his previously powerless arm, aimed the gauntlet on his hand at Shigaraki, and flashed a wild grin. "Can't let that guy hog all the spotlight!"

At the same time, many people looked up as if they had felt something.

"Even in the deepest darkness, a light will appear..."

In a dark alley lashed by a torrential downpour, a crow-headed boy, his entire body hidden in a cloak, his arms crossed, walked toward the light. In the shadow cast by the light behind him was a terrifying demonic face.

This was Fumikage Tokoyami. Beside him was the rhinoceros-headed boy, Koji Koda. And behind them were several enemies, piled up like a mountain!

"Kaminari, it's all your fault we were taken hostage!!"

In the Mountain Zone, Denki Kaminari, who had just been captured by a hidden enemy and used to threaten Yaoyorozu and Jiro, still had a dazed look on his face. Kyoka Jiro was grabbing him by the collar and shaking him violently. "If Ojiro-kun hadn't dropped from the sky like a divine soldier and appeared behind the enemy, we would have all been wiped out!!"

"Jiro-san, you're exaggerating," Ojiro said with an embarrassed smile. "To be honest, if there had been that many of them at the beginning, I wouldn't have been able to do anything. Kaminari-kun did a lot of the work. This situation he's in is unavoidable, right?"

A faint light emanated from Momo Yaoyorozu's chest, and an old-fashioned cell phone popped out from the exposed part of her costume. Seeing that she could get a signal, she breathed a sigh of relief. "It seems that electricity-wielding enemy was the one blocking the signal. We should have been able to get a signal the moment he appeared in front of us."

As Yaoyorozu tried to contact the police, she thought back on what had happened with a sigh.

She, Jiro, and Kaminari had been teleported to this place by Kurogiri and were immediately surrounded by several enemies.

Denki Kaminari's Quirk was "Electrification." He could discharge the electricity stored in his body, but he couldn't control it well. It was indiscriminate, or in other words, its precision was an E.

After fighting for a while and getting tired, Yaoyorozu, enduring the hunger pangs in her stomach, created a piece of insulating cloth so Kaminari could unleash his Quirk without restraint...

The result was that all the enemies were wiped out, and Kaminari, having discharged too much electricity in a short period, short-circuited his brain and became a thoughtless idiot.

Just as they thought the battle was over and let their guard down, an enemy burst out of the ground, instantly grabbed Kaminari, and, while keeping an eye on the two of them to make sure they didn't make any rash moves, began to retreat, seemingly trying to escape.

Even Jiro's stealthy movements were spotted by the enemy. Just as the two of them were at a loss, Ojiro appeared from behind a large rock, his powerful tail sending the enemy flying, and he tied him up with a rope.

"Thank goodness you made it in time, Ojiro-san. Otherwise, we would have been captured by the enemy," Yaoyorozu said, bowing deeply to him with impeccable manners. "Thank you so much!"

Seeing Yaoyorozu in such a revealing costume, showing off her curves without a second thought, Ojiro, like a gentleman, consciously turned his head away and downplayed his own contribution, his face slightly red. "Actually, I only came here because of the class president's orders. It was just a coincidence. Even the rope was given to me by him."

The class president? Yaoyorozu had been a little frustrated before, as she believed she was the best candidate for class president. But hearing Ojiro say this, she felt a little more respect for Kira.

"Look, is someone using a flashlight?"

Kaminari had regained some of his senses, but he was still dizzy. He smiled foolishly and pointed at the sudden beam of light.

"You idiot, snap out of it! Where would a light come from?!" Kyoka Jiro cursed him without hesitation, plugging her earphone jack into his back and making his whole body convulse.

He's still out of it anyway. I'll just deny I ever did this later, Jiro thought, casually running a hand through his hair.

"No, there really is a light!" Yaoyorozu looked in the direction of the light, her expression changing drastically. "It's from the Flood Zone! The others might be in trouble!"

The words had barely left her mouth before she started running in that direction. If what Ojiro-kun said is true, then the class president, Kira-kun, should be in the Flood Zone!

Please be okay, she prayed silently.
