Chapter 2 - Fury

"But I'm no ordinary target…"

He lingered for a while and continues

"...Nelson!"

Elias Vorn actually called him by his real name which sent shivers down his spine.

In a long time, no one had ever called him by his name. Those who respected him from Asura only called him senior… while top tier assassins call him Junior.

His enemies call him brat and those that have never heard of him before, call him a nuisance. And obviously, he was used to the name calling, eventually making it a part of him. But someone actually knew his birth name. It was a pleasant surprise.

Elias Vorn chuckled softly.

"Yes I know… and I was there when it all started… I mean, your life."

Nelson became infuriated to the point where his body trembled. He had never experienced a situation where his enemy knew so much about him… if there was anything he's learnt about being an assassin, then it is; to be very wary of an enemy who knows you from the very start.

At this moment, disregarding the cosmic law of gravity that Elias mastered, he was threatening in his own ways and despite the fact that the Asura organization had done well to gather information on his weaknesses and strength…they were unable to lay hands on everything, so details were left in the dark which the man was sure to use today.

He never let his prey escape. The moment Nelson stepped into the shed, he knew that it was kill or be killed.

Elias Vorn took a step forward and reality twisted, almost like he had stepped into a torn void and transported to Nelson's location in an instant.

"You didn't ask me how, Nelson?."

Nelson was like a firecracker, ready to explode.

"Why would I ask such a question when I would be killing you?"

Elias laughed sarcastically.

"The audacity… to think that you can kill me."

Nelson took that opportunity as he circled Elias like a prey saying. "I'm not confident enough to beat you. But I am certain that I will be able to stake my life just to kill you. I might lose an arm or two… even lose a few fingers, but I will kill you."

He smiled darkly.

"Do not forget that I excel at killing my target."

Elias sighed. "Then we should stop the conversation! It's been nice knowing you. Have a nice life."

The moment he made that comment, the void warped like a torrent, almost like reality was being slowly broken.

Nelson quickly took actions, tapping at the band on his wrist, activating defensive shields that stabilized the space and void around him.

Unfortunately, it lasts just thirty seconds, so before the world returns back to its distorted nature, the way Elias made it to be, he had to make the most out of this chance.

Lunging forward, his sharp dagger slashed straight at Elias who tried to control the movement of the crack he was creating in space. But for some reason, these cracks avoided him.

"Impeccable defense. Unfortunately, it's no match for me."

Elias raised his hands and slammed them down, increasing the gravity around them by ten percent.

Nelson struggled to keep himself standing as a whitish pressure filled the entire shed… realising that this method won't work, he lightly tapped on his belt head causing it to light up with a faded gold… then, a sleek lightweight body suit hugged his frame, enabling him to deal with the mounting pressure.

Able to freely move now, he dashed forward, bending the dagger sideways and stabbing straight.

Elias frowned as he dodged, increasing gravity by twenty percent. The pressure only increased but Nelson's body suit was made to withstand heavy pressure so Nelson was doing just fine.

He smiled like a crazed lunatic and said; "I've underestimated you."

Elias returned the smile, but then compounded gravity into force, shoving it at one part of the shed, shattering the roof and sending the walls flying.

The impact slowed Nelson for a split second and due to the lightweight body suit, the damage wasn't that severe. Then with a swift decisive strike, Nelson released a couple of sharp daggers straight at Elias who didn't see the attack coming.

Though he didn't see it coming, he managed to slow it down using gravity… but then sending the entire walls flying, gravity became a force that detonated, creating a distance between the two enemies. Gravity successfully shattered the daggers but it did not help one bit since those daggers belonged to Nelson and could be created again. So he set a trap of explosion around the shed…placing them haphazardly so that Nelson wouldn't detect them all.
