Chapter 9 - Chapter 9

"Drop your weapons! Drop your weapons!" Alpha Xavier yelled and I could see the guards dropping all the tools and weapons they were holding.

"We're sorry we are only being selfish; fighting to have you without even considering your emotions or how hard it must have been for you,"

Carlos implored, his bluish teary eyes filled with pity and regret as he stared at me.

"There's only one explanation we need from the moon goddess if it's true that you're mated to the both of us." Carlos emphasized before turning his gaze towards Alpha Xavier.

"Well! Including me." Desmond added with crossed arms and approached them with a nod.

"Who on earth is he?" Carlos asked, studying Desmond's features closely.

"I'm a vampire." Desmond admitted and just before he could say anything else, a loud thud was heard.

They all looked in the direction of the sound and they were shocked to see me. I had just dropped down abruptly to the floor in an unconscious state. My head had developed a constant ache due to the stressful events. Unable to think straight, I dropped to the floor, gaining their attention.

"No!"

I heard the loud roars from my three mates but I closed my eyes slowly, hoping this was all a dream.

The trio rushed to my aid and held me in their grasp.

"Quick! Let's get her out of here. If anything happens to her, I'll never forgive myself." Carlos said as he held my smooth hands and caressed my soft cheek.

"Camelia!" I heard a soft voice calling me from an unknown source. I turned around, trying to locate the voice but all I could see were emptiness, creepy sounds, mist and smoke.

I shuddered, my hands trembling as I wondered how I had arrived here. The sky was starting to build and I was alone in a dark forest with trees and a shallow river right at my front.

"Camelia."

The gentle voice called again and I gasped, my heart palpitating with various thoughts running across my mind.

Just as I wanted to shield myself with my hands, I realized I was with a brown book.

"What? H- how did this get here?" I asked myself, my face etched with curiosity and confusion.

What on earth was going on? How did I end up in a strange forest with nothing but hush whispers and voices from unknown sources?

"Do you realize how special you are, little wolf." The voice came again and this time around, I decided to respond.

"Who are you? And what do you want from me?"

"You've got such a fierce vibe with how feeble and tiny you are, little wolf. Interesting."

The voice said again, and after that, I heard multiple laughters echoing at different corners.

"What do you want from me? What are you exactly?" I yelled and everywhere went quiet.

"If you aren't scared of me, then show your face, coward!" I suggested, holding the book firmly to my chest.

My heart race increased as I stared at space and my surroundings cautiously. I closed my eyes in fear and when I opened them, I saw different creatures and people, looking at me with disdainful expressions on their faces.

I could see witches, vampires, hybrids, demons, trying to approach me with the intention of getting something from me.

My body shook in fear, everywhere was getting darker by the minute and they were ready to devour me.

"Aren't you the cursed Camelia who has always lived a worthless life. How could the moon goddess grant you special powers?" A young witch yelled as she gave me a disdainful expression with her fingers sprouting into claws.

"Even her powers are greater than mine," An old fat Middle aged witch added, glaring at me like I made her life a living hell.

"For us to gain our territory and restore our magic then we need her powers."

"No! We're having her first," The vampires emphasized as they readied themselves to attack me.

Not knowing what to do, I shielded myself and prayed for help from the moon goddess. Just then, three rays of light shone in my direction from the sky. I looked up and saw the three stars that produced such light.

I followed the light, my strength rising and I was fearless because I knew I was protected.

My attackers were right behind me. I wondered what it was that they wanted from me.

I am nothing special so why would anyone want me or be interested in getting something from me?

As I kept running, the light shone brighter, filling me with hope and guiding me to head to safe directions.

The worst happened when I slipped and fell, causing my attackers to overtake me.

Before they could do anything to me, I widened my eyes at the sight of a huge dragon approaching our direction. My attackers tried to flee in an attempt to escape but they were surrounded with the flames from the golden dragon.

My eyes widened in shock. A dragon?

I sat up immediately, gasping heavily as I clutched my chest. I breathed in slowly when I realized it was a dream.

What kind of a dream was that?

"How are you feeling, Mate?" Xavier asked with concern as he sat up and touched me by the forehead.

"Are you having a bad dream, mate?" Carlos asked as he brought a tea cup for me with his hand stirring the content in it.

My eyes widened when I realized I was in a room with three handsome men who were blessed with unique features.

The incidence of everything that occurred last night began to flash through my mind. I remembered how I fell unconscious at the hall yesterday.

That means, they must have brought me here after that.

I watched as Xavier wringed a small cloth in a bowl of water before approaching me.

"You're having a high temperature, my lady." He said lovingly as he caressed my neck, causing a tingling sensation in my skin.

I watched and locked eyes with him as he dubbed my face with the towel.

His cool brown eyes were captivating and attractive. I couldn't help but be drawn to his looks.

Carlos fed me with the tea from the cup and Desmond stood at a distance, watching me and grabbing my attention with his comforting gaze.

"You passed out last night, mate. We're so sorry to have stressed you out." Xavier said to me as he kept on dabbing my face with the towel.

While receiving all their kindness and gaining their time, I couldn't help but feel like a queen in their arms.

"The seers will arrive soon,"

"Who are the seers?" I asked, and Xavier turned to face me with a warm smile.

"The seers are the ones who have answers to why I have to share my mate with these other two," Xavier emphasized as he gazed at Carlos and Desmond with disdain.

The hatred they had for each other was still visible but they were only trying to play along by tolerating themselves because of me.

"But in the meantime, let's attend to our mate so she can recover fully."
