Aveline saw Atlas walk in first, but it was Madam Alice's presence that pulled her out of her shock.
"Hello Atlas. I saw you leaving pretty early this morning. Did you have to work?" Freya asked as he arrived in their presence.
He leaned in, and placed a kiss on her cheeks. "I did, Frey. But I'm free now. And oh, meet Ms Alice. She's Aveline's aunt."
"Oh–" Freya's gaze swept past him and rested on madam Alice who had a smile on her face. "Good afternoon ma'am. I'm Freya Sinclair. I was just asking Aveline about her family. I'm so glad you're here." She stretched her hand for a handshake.
"It's so nice to meet you, miss Freya. And thank you for taking care of my niece." She shook hands with her.
Aveline wore a puzzled expression as she kept wondering internally about this person madam Alice had magically transformed into, and how Atlas had managed to get her to even do it.
