Fenris glares at Zane, and for a moment, he looks like he's burning from the inside out. His jaw clenches, his nostrils flare, and there's something in his eyes that no longer tries to stay composed, like he's on the edge of completely snapping, ready to tear someone straight out of their skin.
Meanwhile, Axel hasn't moved. Not even once. He's still frozen in place, like time has stopped around him.
It's as if he hasn't breathed since the two entered. His eyes are fixed on Zane, but there's no reaction, no flicker of expression, no emotion breaking through. Just blank stillness.
"Axel…" Zane starts again, softly, his voice carrying some kind of broken plea, but Callum cuts in, stepping forward with casual arrogance and turning toward him like he's bored already.
"Can I say something to my brother?" he asks rhetorically, not waiting for permission. "Just for a second before you go on with the simping?"
Before Zane can answer, Callum is already facing Fenris.
