"Fen, I'm sorry, I'm gonna leave," Axel says. His voice is lower than usual, sounding like he is under pressure, or rather panic.
His eyes keep shifting, and he doesn't move at all. He just stands there, caught between staying and walking away, knowing either choice will have unpleasant effect.
Fenris doesn't respond in anyway, he stands completely still, staring at nothing like the words haven't sunk in yet, or like he can't let them.
His face is unreadable, almost blank, but the silence between them drags out too long. It's like he doesn't want to feel or think of anything.
"Fenris?" Axel says again, just a bit louder this time but only for the two of them, trying to get a response. "If I don't go now, he's only going to make a scene here for no reason."
Fenris moves just slightly, like Axel's voice has finally got to him. His head slowly turns, and his eyes finally focus on Axel like he's really seeing him now.
