~•Hi, been doing some editing from chapter seven, sorry if you already read this, it's not a new chapter, but there will be a new chapter tomorrow, stay tuned~•
~•~
This time Fenris's eyes are open.. alive and alert.
There's no sign of weakness in them anymore. The pallor is gone. His presence now feels more commanding than sick, more like a predator than a victim.
Axel freezes for a moment. The man no longer looks like someone about to die
, nothing like how he looked just minutes ago. Was he faking it all along?
That sudden change going from nearly dead to perfectly fine makes dread coil in Axel's chest. And the wound on his forehead… how did it just vanish like that? Was Axel imagining the whole thing?
He opens his mouth, then closes it again, too stunned to say anything. His eyes flick up despite himself, tracing over the stranger's face.
Grey striking eyes surrounded by long, dark lashes that make them stand out even more. His eyebrows thick and perfectly shaped, adding to the sharpness of his expression. Jaw strong and well-defined, Every angle of his face is clean and masculine.
His dark hair falls around his neck, a little messy but in a way that makes him look even better. It frames his face perfectly, making it impossible not to stare.
"Remember me?" Fenris asks, his voice hoarse with exhaustion, but beneath the tiredness, there's a trace of held-back anger… and a strange hint of relief that feels out of place.
Axel blinks, thrown completely off guard. "What?"
Fenris doesn't answer. Instead, he grabs Axel's wrist again, just like last night and pulls him forward with enough force that Axel stumbles to keep up.
Fenris's steps are sure now, every stride purposeful and confident, like he now knows what he's doing unlike last night.
Axel's heart pounds harder in his chest, because just from the way this guy is dragging him.. he suddenly knows- remembers... The realization crashes through him with sickening weight,,, this is the man from last night.
The one who had pulled him like he owned him. The one who had taken him home, the one who had looked so wealthy that had left him too stunned to resist.
Just from the man's expression... cold, unreadable, and fixed directly on him, he knows this isn't going to end well.
But... how did this man find him anyway?!
No one should've been able to.
No one knows that the so-called Dancing Fairy is actually a man. They don't even know his real face. So then.. How did he manage to know him?! Who is this man?
Who did he actually mess with last night?! Just what kind of man did he get himself tangled with?
Did he just make the same mistake all over again, letting himself get caught up with another dangerous, controlling, powerful man, someone he won't be able to run from, just like the one he's already trapped with?
The thought hits hard, like a weight slamming into his chest. He doesn't have the strength to do this again. He doesn't have the freedom to make another wrong move.
But judging from the look on that man's face, it might already be too late.
"Where are you taking me?! What do you mean, 'remember me'? I don't know what you're talking about!" Axel says, trying to wrench his arm away.
But it's no use. The man doesn't respond, doesn't slow, doesn't even glance at him. Axel's words bounce off him like they mean nothing.
In seconds, he's shoved into the passenger seat of a sleek car, the door slamming shut beside him.
Axel's breath comes faster. He clutches the seat. Who am I fooling... Of course he knows it's me. There's no denying it.
"What did I do?" he mumbles to himself.
As soon as Fenris sits in the driver's seat, Axel blurts.
"Okay! Fine! I'll give it all back, I swear! I didn't mean to steal anything, I was just curious! The stuff looked cool, and I thought I could return it later!"
He gestures wildly. "The thing is... I'm a content creator! I just needed something expensive-looking for my videos! The watch was just for the vibe, not like real stealing! I just wanted to flex a little, not go to jail!"
There's still no response. Only the tension building like thunder in the air. Fenris's knuckles are bone-white against the steering wheel, fingers curled so tightly they might snap.
He finally snaps. "Why did you pretend to be a woman and let me get you in my bed?!" His voice erupts, deep and furious, bouncing off the car walls with startling volume.
Disgust twists his features as he turns to Axel, expression hard. The memory of what happened, of who he touched, burns like acid in his mind.
Axel flinches, heat flooding his face. "Okay! You can't blame me for anything that happened last night! I never asked you to take me home. I was just minding my own business. You're the one who dragged me there, remember? I didn't lie to you or pretend to be anything. I need to get out of here, it's too hot and uncomfortable..."
He stops himself from speaking shifting uneasily.
Fenris's eyes stay on him, heavy with accusation, but somewhere inside, he knows this person is right. He did drag him home himself.
But even though Fenris feels a flicker of guilt, his eyes narrow as he notices Axel fidgeting nonstop in his seat tugging at his sweater, sweat breaking out all over his skin.
The air inside the car feels heavier by the second. Axel's breathing is growing harder, more desperate. And the little sounds he's making… they sound needy.
"What's happening to me?" Axel gasps, yanking up the hem of his sweater like he's overheating, revealing pale, smooth skin beneath.
The sight hits Fenris hard, like a punch to the chest. Heat rushes through him. He quickly turns his head to the window, but it doesn't help at all.
His wolf growls inside him, furious at being denied what it wants, fighting to break free.
"Put it down," Fenris says through gritted teeth, trying to sound firm but his voice shakes.
Why is he acting like an Omega who's going into heat? Like my pheromones are triggering it?! Fenris thinks, fighting to stay steady. Then that only means he isn't human after all… he must be an Omega.
But then... why has he been pretending this whole time that he couldn't feel our mate bond from the very beginning,, even now?
Or is he just doing what he does best? Playing around. Seducing men. Toying with them like it means nothing?!
