The storm's rain had finally slowed, but the oppressive atmosphere remained. The air was thick, suffocating, and every breath Kael took felt like inhaling lead. The forest, still trembling from the lightning flashes, was silent except for the distant rumble of thunder.

Kael sank to his knees in the mud, arms trembling, trying to shake off the images of his mirror-self. Every word, every accusation, was still ringing in his ears. Sweat and rain mingled on his brow, dripping into his eyes. He swallowed hard. "We… we can't let it—"

Elena, leaning against a tree, struggled to steady her sword. Her hands shook uncontrollably, and her gaze flickered between the shadows of the forest and the mud-streaked clearing. "It's not over," she muttered, voice barely audible over the wind. "It's… it's still here."

Aaron sat cross-legged, hands clutched over his head, muttering fragments of the reflections' words. "I… I can't… they're… they're right…"
