With that in mind, the two shadows dropped down from the building they were on and began to slowly approach the Floral shop.
[We're going to have to lure him outside, it's too dangerous if we just walk right in.]
June then slowly grabbed a pebble and threw it at a window of the shop, shattering the glass. Not a moment after, The Chemist suddenly appeared again, opening the door to see who dared to break the window of his shop; But the master couldn't find anyone, as the two shadows were already hiding, concealing themselves through the darkness.
Corsair then sneaked up on the master, with a summoned sword memory in hand slashing at The Chemist. However, at that moment, Chemist suddenly moved out of the way, only receiving a slash wound to his shoulder.
'Ah, it seemed like his instincts is better than Tyrant.'
In retaliation, Galahad summoned a memory of his own. It was a long and white rapier of an unknown rank; it hilts has several loops interwinding with each other and have some runes written on the blade as well.
The master then thrust his blade at June direction in anger. However, due to Corsair dormant ability, he managed to avoid the lethal blow to the head, only receiving a cut on the shoulder. But that wasn't all, the man with the plague doctor mask then rushed over to June direction, kicking and sending him slamming into another window of the shop.
"My, my Corsair. Did someone in the black market really sent you to kill me? An ex-master of Valor?"
The Chemist let out a sinister laugh as he began to approach the recovering Corsair. Suddenly, time around the two seemed to slow down; Corsair had just activated his awakened ability to slow down time. Even though he would be slower than Galahad, it created the perfect opportunity for Rain to strike.
From a distant, on top of one of the buildings nearby, a raven black-haired woman let go of her bow string; Sending her arrow memory, [Essence Quiver], towards the man with the bird mask at maximum speed. Her precision was top notch, almost like a huntress aiming their bow at a goose who's out in the open.
Just as the arrow was about to reached its target, June deactivated his awakened ability, allowing time to resume to it normal pace. At that moment, when Galahad was readjusting to his normal pace, the arrow struck his back. The ex-master of Valor stumbled forward, losing his balance due to the blow he had just received.
Taking this moment of opportunity, June placed one had on the floor, then twist his body and kick the legs of the stumbling master, sweeping him. The master fell headfirst into the floor, cracking it.
June was just about to rush in to stab The Chemist, but he'd jumped back as a sea of dust started to form a barrier between him and the master. The man was standing still while the dust moved toward the back of the master, catching another arrow that Rain just had shot.
Then Galahad dust begins to change form, into that of a humanoid hand. The hand of dust gripped on the arrow firmly and threw it at Rain direction.
June panicked and proceeded to activate his awakened ability in time to slow down the arrow and dust, allowing ample time for Rain to move out of the trajectory of the arrow.
Staring back at Corsair, The Chemist then commanded the dust hand to slapped June away as if the man in front of him was merely a fly. However, June managed to nonchalantly regain his balance and summoned a bow type memory of his own. Letting out a few arrows' shots mid-air in response to the Master.
However, the arrows he shot was simply waved away, blocked by the dust wall that formed around the master who was standing completely still. Then the wall of dusts then dropped down to the ground as Galahad tilted his head, letting out a chuckle.
"That was a nice trick you and your friend had there, Corsair. Too bad I'm going to have to kill both of you."
The dust around the building then started to condense at one point again, forming swords that are pointing towards June, and a moment later, it fired. The shots were fast, but it lacked precisions due to the master lack of combat experiences, so with enough skill, June managed to evade them.
While he was evading the dust swords, June saw something so subtle that only a few people could have noticed; A fly suddenly dropped to the ground, it was not dead but immobilised.
'Is the dust around here toxic?'
The dust then quickly dropped to the floor again, as the master approaches June, with his rapier in hand.
"I guess I'll have to break that damn mask of yours, Corsair."
Galahad, rapier in hand, lunges towards June direction. If it wasn't for the mask that he was wearing, people would be able to see that at this moment, he was smiling ear to ear like a mad man.
Summoning his sword memory again, June ducked a few of Galahad sword thrusts and slashes and parry the others as his memory begins to cracked. It was simply only possible due to Galahad's inexperiences in combat that allowed Corsair, someone who is just an awakened to manage to stand up to Galahad for a brief moment.
"Is this all you got to offer? Chemist. Don't tell me this is how low the ex-masters of Valor have gotten to after the War, that they're now struggling with an awakened!"
That bluff made by Corsair seemed to trigger Chemist, as the man with the plague mask stood still and went silent. Dust, again rises from the ground of the broken flower shop, forming into swords, aiming at the Corsair.
June again ducked out of the way of the incoming swords strikes, trying to head to the direction of a streetlamp at the corner of the street. His fingers subtly weaved signals through the shadows, messaging Rain from a distant.
[The dust around the shop, or the dust that he's controlling, seemed to be toxic, not lethal but it can leave someone immobilised.]
A second later, regaining his balance after he weaved away from yet another sword strike.
[It seemed that Galahad flaw is that he can't move while while using his aspect ability.]
As June continued to duck and dodge the incoming swords strikes that are made from dust, Rain then let out another shot from her bow, which again stumbled the master. Taking that as a signal, June uses his sword to parry the last sword strike of the dust barrage and rushes towards the master. Without waiting a second further, June uses the hilt of his sword and the full rotation of his body to land a clean uppercut to Galahad face, causing a small crack to appear on the bird mask as Galahad dropped to the ground.
Seeing that Galahad is currently down, June tried to rush over to finish the job. Yet for some reason, his muscles were getting was getting slower by the moment.
'Don't tell me the toxin in the dust had infected me, through the open wound on my shoulder?'
June knees grew heavier and heavier by the seconds while Galahad began to be stood up, grunting and full of fury. One of The Chemist hand was placed on his forehead and the other gripping his rapier handle firmly, pushing himself off the ground and onto his feet.
"Corsair....You'll pay for this."
The master voice was all over the place while his balance was still messy. He'd then stood still yet again, calling upon the dust of the building around them. Yet, it was clear that this attack was less condense, less concentrated than before.
'He's concussed! Good, things should be easier now at least... If it weren't for the toxin in my body.'
Grunting, June gripped harder on his sword to prepare for the incoming barrage of dust swords that were about to come his way.
"This is the end for you, Cors-"
Galahad disoriented voice was filled with anger and murderous intent towards the man in front of him, yet it was cut off by the appearance of a slender black-haired woman who seemingly stepped out from the shadows.
Rain pulled back her bow and releases it point blank as she managed to sneak up on the master. This time, instead of aiming at The Chemist body like before, she was aiming at his face or more specifically, the mask.
The plague mask that the master was wearing shattered on impact with the arrow, causing Galahad to stumble backwards as the dust swords shattered and scattered around the room. Then, Rain assigned to him a single epithet.
[Winded, respiring Chemist Galahad]
The Doctor then puts his hands on his throat in a disorientated manner, trying to stop himself from breathing in the dust. Yet due to his concussed state and the epithet Rain had assigned to him, he began to breathe in the ever so trusty dusts that he had used before against others. Now it was being used against him.
Grasping for air, the master began to feel numb, and his knees was growing heavier than before. Due to how fast he was breathing, the dusts swarms into his respiratory system, it didn't take long for the master to fall to the ground, paralysed. The toxin had completed it job.
Rain then took a sigh of relief and looked over to her companion who was currently clutching his injured shoulder.
"I guess, the mission is over now. Kim told me over the communication mirror that she had tipped the location of his lab over to the Fire Keepers."
Staring back at Rain, June then looked down at the incapacitated master.
"I guess so. We should leave the scene now."
************************************************************
While the two shadows were leaving the battlefield, Rain noticed that her companion seemed to be moving quite slower than when they have started to leave.
'Had those dust infect him during the fight?'
Rain then glanced back at June, offering a helping hand.
"You need help? Your legs are quite stiff."
June replied to her after a moment of silent with a small smile on his face, which was visible now that they have both taken off their mask. His voice was calmed and cool as always.
"I would appreciate it."
A few seconds later, June was leaning on Rain shoulder as the two of them continue to move through the city as the sun begins to rise.
Though, a few moments later Rain found that they were moving much slower than she would have liked, due to June being poisoned by Galahad dusts. In response to this, she'd proceeded to crouched down, which surprised and confuses her companion who was still leaning on her shoulder.
"Wait what are you doing-"
Rain had indeed picked June up by his feet. This flustered the Corsair so much that he burried his face into his arms to hide from the embarrassment. It was only a few moments later that Rain face turned pink, upon realising what she had done.
She was carrying June in her arms, princess carry style.
'What did I just do?'
